디지털 텍스타일 프린팅의 초현실주의적 표현 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Surrealist Expressions Technique of Digital Textile Printing)

  • With the development of digital technology, clothes of unique textiles using the digital printing techniques have appeared as a creative trend in textile design. The development of digital textile printing technology has allowed the fashion industry to utilize it as an expressive method of a surrealist trend in current fashion designs, and so it is necessary to understand and study this phenomenon. The present study is an attempt to understand this modern fashion phenomena from an artistic perspective by looking at textile designs that applied actual images to textiles, so that this trend in fashion design can be better understood. In this context, this study aims to examine characteristics and expressive techniques of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme associated with digital textile printing by using actual images among surrealist expressions, and to investigate creative expressions of textile design freely expressing the visual boundary between reality and surrealism with the development of digital technology. For research methods, we reviewed technical texts and previous studies related to our research topic for theoretical exploration and investigated the Internet data and used them for basic data. In the case study, we came up with the characteristics and meanings by classifying fashion design cases using digital textile printing techniques according to expressive techniques of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Details of this study are as follows: First, it investigates the definition and expressive characteristics of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme of the surrealist expression for its theoretical understanding. Second, it comes up with the characteristics by analyzing the digital textile cases from the perspective of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Third, it deduces the expressive methods and characteristics of digital textile printing from a the perspective of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme based on the resulting characteristics. The conclusions show that d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme, which consists of improvisation and coincidence, maximized the mysterious images of derealisation and mysterious primitive images. These things emphasized the characteristics of maximization of images, derealisation, and rationalization of irrationalism.

복합 압전 트랜스듀서의 전기적 특성 (Electrical properties of a composite piezoelectric transducer)

  • A composite piezoelectric ceramic transducer is fabricated with three piezoelectric ceramic disk vibrators and two sheets of thin insulator. Its equivalent circuit is derived from the Mason's model of a thickness-driven piezoelectric vibrator. When the electric input near its fundamental resonance frequency is applied to the center vibrator and the output voltages across the left and the right vibrators are connected in series to the resistor loads, the load characteristics at resonance frequencies under the various resistor loads and the frequency characteristics near the resonance frequency without load are investigated. Furthermore, symbolic expressions for input impedances, voltage ratios, resonance frequencies, and bandwidths are derived. The data calculated from those symbolic expressions are agreed well with the measurement data.

패션 일러스트레이션의 혼성적 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Hybrid Expression in Fashion Illustration)

  • Post-modern society leads us to accept diversity and variability instead of pursuit of the absolute truth, beauty or classical value systems, thus leading to hybrid phenomena. The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics and expressive effects of hybrid expressions through which to provide conceptual bases for interpreting expanded meanings of fashion illustrations that express aesthetic concepts of hybrid culture. Hybrid refers to a condition on which diverse elements are mixed with each other, so any one element can not dominate others. It is often used to create something unique and new by a combination of unprecedented things. Hybrid can be classified into four categories: temporal hybrid, spatial hybrid, morphological hybrid and hybrid of different genres. Temporal hybrid from a combination of past and present in fashion illustration includes temporal blending by repetition and juxtaposition. Spatial hybrid shows itself in the form of inter-penetration and interrelationship by means of projection, overlapping, juxtaposition and multiple space. Morphological hybrid expresses itself through combination of heterogenous forms and restructuring of deformed forms. Hybrid of different genres in fashion illustration applies various graphic elements or photos within the space, and represents blending of arts and daily living. Such hybrid expressions in fashion illustrations reflect the phenomena of diversity and variability of post-modern society. Hybrid expressions in fashion illustrations predict endless possibility of expressing new images through combining various forms or casual elements and can develop toward a new creative technique.

패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 원근법 해체에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Deconstruction of Perspective in Fashion Illustrations)

  • Advent of diverse media and advancement in digital technology significantly affected our perception of time and space. By utilizing digital media actively, fashion illustration has come to go beyond the limitation on conventional perspective expression. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of deconstruction of perspective in fashion illustration, and to analyze a variety of space expressions and effects of visual expression in fashion illustration. By way of literature research for the study, theoretical data are reviewed about basic concepts of conventional perspective and the characteristics and aesthetic concept of perspective deconstruction expression in visual art. By way of an empirical study, fashion illustrations that represent the deconstruction of perspective are classified and analyzed characteristics and image effects of such expressions. Deconstruction of perspective in fashion illustration find in expression of spaces by means of multi-space, multi-layer space, reverse perspective, perspective through the exaggeration, multi-perspective space, and panoramic visual condition. Fashion illustration expresses visual confusion or fantasy rather than creating realistic spaces that have utilized reasonable perspective. Fashion illustration is moving toward a trait with disharmony and an in-depth visionary space by overlapping or mixing spaces differing from each other, and by means of such peculiar and unrealistic expressions, unfamiliar images are created.

해체주의를 응용한 메이크업 일러스트레이션 (The Make-up illustrations Based on Deconstruction)

  • This study aims to suggest new directions for the development of make-up design by understanding characteristics of deconstruction make-up and to search for new directions and methods in theme expressions and design conceptions by making illustrations with deconstruction themes. This study examines conceptual characteristics of Derrida's deconstruction, and analyzes the various deconstruction make-up styles through the famous fashion magazines such as Beauty Collection, Collections, Fem, Modain, and Vogue since 1997. The make-up illustration works in this study were made depending on these styles. At first, the nature of deconsouction make-up can be explained as deconstruction of existing methods, deconstruction of the sexes and deconstruction of history or ethnicity. The deconstruction of existing methods can be subdivided into decadence make-up, detester make-up, graphic make-up and collage make-up. Deconstruction of the sexes can be explained androgynous make-up. Deconstruction of history or ethnicity is subdivided into white makeup, ancient Egyptian dark eye make-up and raceless make-up. The deconstruction make-up illustrations present infinite possibilities in expression styles through three dimensional expressions and media mixture using not only drawing materials including watercolor, poster-color, and color pencils but also objets including magazines, coarse fabrics, screentone, beads, suede, sand and so on. The study shows that since deconstruction make-up illustrations are not limited to depiction-centered expressions, they serve creating unique images and future inspirations.

키네티시즘의 '움직임' 지각을 통한 체험적 감성 공간 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Experiencing Sensibility Space in The Perception of Kineticism 'Movement')

  • Recently the trend that human emotions become central is strongly on the rise beyond functions in the area of space. In the present situation, the current study is to examine the characteristics of experiential space of emotions through an approach to space appearing in kinetic art paying attention to the fact that the new spatial expressions and forms of Kineticism lie in introduction of 'movement' as a phenomenon that humans who are main agents of experiences can perceive. For research methods, spatial expressions were proposed according to each characteristic extracting characteristics to create space through 'movement' of Kineticism, and the features of experiential space of emotion were elicited by analyzing sensible elements and perceptual characteristics which stimulate human sensitivity through expressive aspects of 'movement' appearing in the case. As a result, it was found that characteristics appeared including immersion through non-daily stimulation, empathy through visual·perceptual stimulation, syn-aesthetic experiences through stimulation of thinking senses, and perceptual activation through physical movement etc. Namely, the present study has its meanings in seeking another directions and possibilities as emotional space to activate experiencers' diverse perceptions and senses by analyzing the characteristics of experiential emotional space through 'movement' of Kineticism which is one of modern plastic arts.

패션 플래그쉽 스토어에 나타난 퍼놀로지(Funology) 공간 특성연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Funology Spatial of the Fashion Flagship Store)

  • In the 21st century, modern society is rapidly changing paradigm of environment with advancement of advanced technology and improving income levels. Such a paradigm reflected in modern design and emerged as a new spatial aspect through various cultural and artistic expressions, thus becoming a crucial role in commercial space. Reflecting on this phenomenon, fashion brands have expanded the concept of a variety of cultural, artistic, and experience cultures with a variety of cultural and artistic sectors in each of the world's major cities. The fashion companies began to focus on fashion programs featuring "Funology" as the fun which creates a sense of curiosity rather than a meaningless space and a fun experience. Therefore, this study analyzes the spatial characteristics of fashion flagship store sites using characteristics of fashion flagship store presented in the expressions of fashion, and analyzes the spatial characteristics of the fashion flagship store based on the spatial characteristics derived from the spatial characteristics of the fashion scene. Based on these results, we confirm the relationship between the Fashion Flagship and the Funology. Design Aspects of the Fashion Flagship Store with Elements of Fun and We expect continuous research as a strategic factor that provides limitless ideas for many design and creative activities.

골프 복식규범과 골프웨어 스타일 표현 -20·30대 골퍼를 중심으로- (Golf Clothing Norms and Golf Wear Stylistic Expressions -Centered on Golfers in 20·30s-)

  • This study identified domestic and foreign golf clothing norms and extended recognition and attitude on golf clothing norms expressed in a golf wear style for golfer groups in their 20s-30s. Domestic golf clothing norms were derived from a theoretical research and case study; subsequently, golfers in their 20s-30s were classified into 4 groups. In-depth interviews were conducted using a serious leisure concept to analyze attitudes and stylistic expressions. Domestic golf clothing norms derived from stipulated and implicit norms varied as a type and situation of a golf course, gender of the golfer, and domestic golfers in their 20s-30s perceived such a point. For golfers in their 20s-30s, attitudes on golf clothing norms and their stylistic expressions showed differences according to gender and leisure type. As for gender characteristics, female golfers focused on 'look prettier' in stylistic expressions through experiences with a double-standard clothing norm; however, male golfers showed strict application and observance of a clothing norm in stylistic expressions compared to female golfers. However, male golfer groups in their 20s-30s as 'casual leisure participants' and those as 'serious leisure participants' showed differences becuase the former showed a tendency to observe clothing norms from other viewpoints and evaluations and the latter showed off their abilities and careers as a means of distinction. As for characteristic of stylistic expressions according to a leisure type, golfers in their 20s-30s showed distinction as serious leisure participants through forming new and independent clothing norms. Research findings are expected to provide an opportunity to reconsidering the influence of clothing norms in young people who have a strong tendency to express clothing style as a means to pursue individuality and taste.

이상(李箱)의 시(詩)에 나타난 수학적 표현과 의미 (Mathematical Expressions and their Meanings in Lee Sang's Poetry)

  • Lee Sang, one of the representative poets of Korean Modern Poetry, wrote poems which present the existentialistic modernism in the 1920s, the chaotic era of Korean history. The characteristics of his works have been shown by various points of view. This paper especially explored the meaning and feature of mathematical expressions by numbers, symbols and other signs of mathematics in Lee's poems. His poems are composed by scientific and abstract rules in mathematics which are expressed as mathematical symbols. The paper focuses on analyzing seven poems which maximizes mathematical expressions among his poetry. This kind of work would be the one of ways to figure out the features of mathematics through literature.

비파괴 시험에 의한 혼화재를 사용한 콘크리트의 강도 추정식 제안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the proposal of Strength Presumption Equation of Concrete Using Admixture by Nondestructive Testing)

  • This study aims to estimate strength approximate to actual concrete strength by presenting appropriate non-destructive strength estimation expression with admixtures such as fly ash, blast furnace slag and silica fume which are used as cement substitute and owing to theirs of cement owing to their equal conditions to blending characteristics of concrete used for domestic structures and their recyclable properties. As a result of comparing error rate of existing expressions and this estimation expression, error rate of this estimation is reduced compared to existing expressions and has higher reliability. When conventional concrete expression is applied to admixture concrete, error rate occurs and then this study suggests the following estimation expressions depending on types of admixture concrete.
