The performance of recommender systems (RS) has been measured mainly in terms of accuracy. However, there are other aspects of performance that are difficult to understand in terms of accuracy, such as coverage, serendipity, and satisfaction with recommended results. Moreover, particularly with RSs that suggest multiple items at a time, such as YouTube, user satisfaction with recommended results may vary not only depending on their accuracy, but also on their configuration, content, and design displayed to the user. This is true when classifying an RS as a single RS with one recommended result and as a multiple RS with diverse results. No empirical analysis has been conducted on the influence of the content and distribution of recommendation items on user satisfaction. In this study, we propose a research model representing the content and distribution of recommended items and how they affect user satisfaction with the RS. We focus on RSs that recommend multiple items. We performed an empirical analysis involving 149 YouTube users. The results suggest that user satisfaction with recommended results is significantly affected according to the HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index). In addition, satisfaction significantly increased when the recommended item on the top of the list was the same category in terms of content that users were currently watching. Particularly when the purpose of using RS is hedonic, not utilitarian, the results showed greater satisfaction when the number of views of the recommended items was evenly distributed. However, other characteristics of selected content, such as view count and playback time, had relatively less impact on satisfaction with recommended items. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to show that the category concentration of items impacts user satisfaction on websites recommending diverse items in different categories using a content-based filtering system, such as YouTube. In addition, our use of the HHI index, which has been extensively used in economics research, to show the distributional characteristics of recommended items, is also unique. The HHI for categories of recommended items was useful in explaining user satisfaction.
The CEOs of global companies have been realized the imagination and creativity that can be obtained from the corporate culture is the crucial competitive power for sustainable growth. Thus, most domestic companies take an increasing interest in how to make creativity efficiently. This paper, however, argues that the proper application of performance indicators can engender creativity and innovation in organizations without costly investing on creativity. Assuming that creativity is actually dominated by the emotion of human resources rather than the rationality, this paper suggests the performance indicators developed based on the viewpoint of the characteristics of human needs and the relationship between the human needs and the attribute of works. The performance system which consists of activity, sociality and creativity is presented and the performance indicators for each category are also suggested to improve the spontaneity and creativity of human resources.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the quality of the information and characteristics associated with information packaging, and develop suggestions for how this web site might be improved. Methods: The 50 sites were selected for evaluation. Inclusion criteria for evaluation were the purpose and the popularity of the sites. Two kinds of evaluation tool were employed for the analysis: one that evaluate the quality of information and the design of the web sites, and another that evaluate the covered contents. A scoring system allowed the sites point on yes/no basis on the evaluation items. The association between quality of the web sites on sexuality education and their site characteristics were assessed using ANOVA. Conclusions: Major conclusions were as follows. First, the scope and currency of the selected web sites were found to be appropriate. Second, the authority of the information was found to be the most serious problem of the selected sites. Third, the category of sexual behavior found to be the most frequently mentioned and sexual health was the second. The least mentioned category was personal skills. Finally, sites operated by private organization were found to have more accurate information and better design feature than those operated by public organization and/or individual.

The economy is advancing at quite a bit is the role of the Distribution Center, a rise is evolving and mullyuryang Any existing storage facilities were not creating added value from contact with the customer service centers play the role. In order to increase its market competitiveness also pl approach to three in order to enforce cost savings and run. But by industry, the goods, operating characteristics of the cooperating in order to differentiate themselves with the operating process of improvement of operating system, including costs and took lots of time of service.Quality is lower ; all were missing. Such logistics centers, standard management model to address a little bit problem with highest academic. I want to try send it to, each product-category's industrial and business forms, standardisation is really a difficult situation, current study is further progress all you if you are The process managed to turn component is sure that we will be able to be judged.
Because the hospital building operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for treatment and restoration of patients, it has a different pattern of energy use than that of ordinary buildings. Hospitals contribute to energy consumption and have a negative environmental impact. This study aims to find how meaningful energy performance, reflecting good energy management and ECMs, can be operated for hospital buildings, a category encompassing complex buildings with different systems and large differences between them. In this study, we proposed the energy diagnosis & evaluation method and energy management process to verify energy saving through operation data based on system & facility characteristics, operation pattern and energy consumption characteristics of hospital building. Energy consumption structures were surveyed throughout 4 reference hospital in Seoul, Korea. Findings confirm that different hospital departments have hugely different energy-demand profiles. Energy efficiency and energy saving potentials are presented. The energy performance analysis can be applied to a wide range of problems in energy-system operation.

In this paper, we proposes a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics, selection procedures, and management perspectives of each university's financial support project, and derivation of a plan to integrate the information system of the university's financial support project. To this end, we analyze the current status of business operations before and after restructuring university financial support projects, and identified the characteristics, commonalities, and differences of each project. Individual projects are promoted segmentally, evaluation indicators and evaluation methods are different for each business, standardization is difficult, and in the absence of integrated governance, sympathy and will of the system integration of the government and the managing agency cannot be found. In order to integrate the system, the business management process must be integrated and standardized, and the system equipment such as budget category adjustment must be complemented, and a stable budget for system integration must be secured.

This article deals with stochastic reliability systems that include a repair facility and unreliable machines: the main facility of working and an auxiliary facility of "super-reserve" machines. The number of super-reserve machines are random number with a arbitrarily distribution and working machines break down exponentially. Defective machines line up for repair, whose durations are arbitrarily distributed. Refurbished machines return to the main facility. If the main facility is restored to its original quantity, the repair facility leaves on routine maintenance until all of super-reserve machines are exhausted. Then, the busy period is regenerated. The whole system also falls into the category of closed queues, with more options than those of basic models. The techniques include two-variate Markov and semi-regenerative processes, and a duality principle, to find the probability distribution of the number of intact machines. Explicit formulas obtained demonstrate a relatively effortless use of functionals of the main stochastic characteristics (such as expenses due to repair, maintenance, waiting, and rewards for higher reliability) and optimization of their objective function. Applications include computer networking, human resources, and manufacturing processes.
PURPOSES: This study analyzes the characteristics of traffic flow on freeway sections under daytime and nighttime conditions to improve traffic safety, and suggests a method to estimate an accurate freeway capacity value that reflects these characteristics. METHODS : The trends and differences in capacity were investigated using comprehensive field data collected under both daytime and nighttime conditions on freeway sections with designated speeds of 80, 100, and 120 kph. RESULTS : The capacity values under nighttime driving conditions were reduced by 3.3%, 6.9%, and 8.8% at 80, 100, and 120 kph, respectively. Several nighttime adjustment factors were deduced for each designated speed category from the analysis results. CONCLUSIONS : It is expected that more accurate capacity values can be estimated for freeway sections under nighttime conditions by applying the resulting adjustment factors. In addition, traffic safety will be improved through the increased efficiency of traffic management on these freeway sections.

This study is to develop a diagnostic model for the effective introduction of smart factories in the manufacturing industry, to diagnose SMEs that have difficulties in building their own smart factory compared to large enterprise, to identify the current level and to present directions for implementation. IT, AT, and OT experts diagnosed 18 SMEs using the "Smart Factory Capacity Diagnosis Tool" developed for smart factory level assessment of companies. They analyzed the results and assessed the level by smart factory diagnosis categories. Companies' smart factory diagnostic mean score is 322 out of 1000 points, between 1 level (check) and 2 level (monitoring). According to diagnosis category, Factory Field Basic, R&D, Production/Logistics/Quality Control, Supply Chain Management and Reference Information Standardization are high but Strategy, Facility Automation, Equipment Control, Data/Information System and Effect Analysis are low. There was little difference in smart factory level depending on whether IT system was built or not. Also, Companies with large sales amount were not necessarily advantageous to smart factories. This study will help SMEs who are interested in smart factory. In order to build smart factory, it is necessary to analyze the market trends, SW/ICT and establish a smart factory strategy suitable for the company considering the characteristics of industry and business environment.
In these days, most of Korean industries advocates and utilizes Six Sigma as an integrated innovation tool for all their business and manufacturing processes. Six Sigma is known to bring more financial and managerial achievements than other innovation methods and tools. However, such successes are not always guaranteed. To adopt and implement Six Sigma successfully, it is necessary to grasp and understand essential characteristics of Six Sigma and then identify suitable elements and complements in consideration of vision, strategies, capability, circumstance and environment of the company. Step by step implementation plan may be built based on those ingredients. This study is to find out key ingredients (KIs) of Six Sigma. Potential ingredients selected from previous studies of success factors and ingredients of Six Sigma and TQM, and criteria of quality awards like MBNQA, EFQM, Deming prize and Korean National Quality Awards (KNQA) are classified into 11 categories based on experts' opinion and affinity analysis: management leadership, belt system, training, six sigma system, compensation, organization, corporate culture, customer focused, project selection, management of project results, and managerial achievements. Irrelevant or ineffective potential ingredients are discarded using factor analysis for the questionnaires answered by champions, MBB's and BB's of 90 Korean companies that have more than 3 years experience of Six Sigma. Also from the factor analysis, 3 factors are derived for each categories respectively except the managerial achievement category. Those 11 categories and 30 factors are defined as KIs of Six Sigma. This study also reveals that there is difference according to enterprise size, type of business, and implementation time in terms of KI's, and prioritizes KI's that an enterprise to pursue Six Sigma successfully should consider according to its characteristics.
