  • This paper presents a design of macro-micro system for high-speed mounting of micro-chips. A macro motion device is driven by DC servomotor and ball screw mechanism. To obtain fast response, a micro motion device utilizes a precision elector magnetic actuator In order to reduce peak impact force, We evaluate the design parameters that have an effect on it. And a characteristic of response is simulated using PID controller in velocity and force control.

단방향 누적점수관리도의 설계 (A Design of One-Sided Cumulative Scored Control Chart)

  • This paper proposes a method of designing one-sided cumulative scored control charts to control the process mean with a normally distributed quality characteristic. The average run length(ARL) is obtained from the average sample number of sequential probability ratio test(SPRT) on trinomial distribution. Using the analogy between cumulative scored control chart and SPRT for trinomial observations, a procedure is presented to determine three control chart parameters; lower and u, pp.r scoring boundaries and action limit. The parameters are determined by minimizing the ARL when the process is out of control with prespecified ARL when the process is in control.

  • 콘크리트 압축강도가 설계의 규준이 될 경우 배합비를 결정하는 방법은 여러 가지가 있으나, 파괴에너지 및 탄성계수와 같은 규준이 주어질 경우 배합비 결정에 적용하는 방법은 거의 없다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 콘크리트 재료성질의 관계에 관한 배합설계도(Mix design diagram)를 제안하였다. 이 방법은 시멘트량, 물-시멘트 비가 콘크리트의 압축강도, 탄성계수, 할렬인장강도, 파괴에너지 그리고 콘크리트 특성길이(Characteristic length)에 주는 영향을 실험에 의하여 규명하였다. 시편제작을 위하여 각기 다른 물-시멘트비와 워커빌리티를 갖는 6종류의 무근콘크리트 배합이 사용되었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed the newly design method for extracting of the saw resonator characteristic. For the parameters of the proposed equivalent model, we adjusted and optimized the variables of several functions. As verification of proposed method, we firstly designed and fabricated cellular saw resonator by using the proposed model resonator. As the simulated and measured results of the proposed design method are almost equaled, we confirmed the usefulness of this method. we knew the usefulness of this method. Finally we designed the 800MHz cellular Tx/Rx band pass filter by using this designed resonator.

  • This paper deals with cost reduction design of a single-phase line-start permanent magnet (LSPM) motor. The characteristic analysis according to the change of quantity of permanent magnet(PM) is examined by d-and q-axis equivalent circuit. The motor parameters which are satisfied with efficiency and maximum torque are determined by the characteristic map obtained by d-and q-axis equivalent circuit analysis. And then the geometric shape design using optimization methodology is performed by finite element method (FEM).

  • This paper deals with the design of a car seat for enhancing dynamic ride quality using a Biomechanical Model that was developed from the measured whole-body vibration characteristic. For evaluation of seat ride quality, the z-axis acceleration of floor as an input of biomechanical model was measured on a driving passenger car at highway and national road. Form the floor signal and the estimated biomechanical model, overall ride value evaluated by parameter study of seat stiffness and damping. The result shows that overall ride value decreases as the seat damping increases and the sear stiffness decreases. A lot of polyurethane foams were manufactured and tried to evaluate dynamic ride quality of a seat. It is found that stiffness and damping of a seat show a linear relationship, which means the stiffness and damping are not independent each other, So the optimal seat parameters within practically achievable space are determined.

  • This study investigates the characteristics of touch-free permanent magnet gear according to design parameters. The effects of the design parameters on the magnetic torque is analyzed by using 3 dimensional Finite Element Method (FEM). The considered parameters are magnetization thickness, skew angle, stack length, inner and outer diameter and the number of pole. And the validity of analysis method is confirmed by the experimental results.

  • GPC has been reported as a useful self-tuning control algorithm for systems with unknown time-delay and parameters. GPC is easy to understand and implement, and thus has won popularity among many practicing engineers. Despite its success, GPC does not guarantee is nominal stability. So, in this paper, GPC is rederived in frequency domain instead of in the time domain to guarantee its nominal stability. Derivation of GPC in frequency domain involves spectral factorization and Diophantine equation. Frequency domain GPC control law is stable because the zeros of characteristic polynomial are strictly Schur. Recursive least square algorithm is used to identify unknown parameters. To see the effectiveness of the proposed controller, the controller is simulated for a numerical problem that changes in dead-time, in order and in parameters.

초순수 생산을 위한 이온교환공정 설계특성 평가 (The design parameter evaluation of ion exchange process for ultra pure water production)

  • In this study, cation and anion exchange process for performance evaluation was conducted. A pilot plant for the ultrpure water production was installed with the capacity of $25m^3/d$. The various production rate and regeneration of ion exchange rate were tested to investigate the design parameters. The test resulst was applied to calculate the operating costs. Changing the flow rate of the ion exchange capacity of the reproduction reviewed the cation exchange process as opposed to the design value is 120 to 164% efficiency, whereas both anion exchange process is 82 to 124% efficiency, respectively. This results can be applied for more large scale plant if the scale up parameters are consdiered. The ion exchange capacity of the application in accordance with the design value characteristic upon application equipment is expected to be needed. In this study, the performance of cation and anion exchange resin process was evaluated with pilot plant($25m^3/d$). The ion exchange capacity along with space velocity and regeneration volume was evaluated. In results, the operation results was compared with design parameters.

Determination of Regulator Parameters and Transient Analysis of Modified Self-commutating CSI-fed IM Drive

  • In this paper, an attempt has been made to design the current and speed proportional and integral (PI) regulators of self-commutating current source inverter-fed induction motor drive having capacitors at the machine end and to investigate the transient performance of the same for step changes in reference speed. The mathematical model of the complete drive system is developed in closed loop, and the characteristic equations of the systems are derived using perturbation about steady-state operating point in order to develop the characteristic equations. The D-partition technique is used for finding the stable region in the parametric plane. Frequency scanning technique is used to confirm the stability region. Final selection of the regulator parameters is done by comparing the transient response of the current and speed loops for step variations in reference. The performance of the drive is observed analytically through MATLAB simulation.
