효율적인 인체신호 검출을 위한 안테나 특성 연구 (A Study on Antenna Characteristics for Efficiently Detecting Human Sign)

  • 본 논문에서는 근거리에서 심박동, 호흡, 맥박 등 인체 신호를 효율적으로 검출할 수 있는 소출력 안테나 특성에 대하여 분석하였다. 이러한 환경에서 안테나는 펄스 신호를 사용하므로 광대역에서 임피던스가 주파수에 안정적인 특성이 요구된다. 이러한 요구 특성은 이득과 trade-off 관계가 있으나 본 논문에서는 근거리에서 사용하므로 방향성 및 이득을 높이기 위한 어레이 형태는 고려하지 않았다. 일반적으로 이러한 요구 사항을 만족하는 안테나는 주파수 독립(Frequency Independent) 안테나로 분류된다. 스파이럴(spiral), 시뉴어스(sinuous), 대수 주기(log-periodic) 안테나 등이 해당되며 소형으로 구현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 중심 주파수가 5 GHz인 UWB 펄스 트랜시버에 원형 패치 안테나와 시뉴어스 안테나를 접속하고 시험한 결과를 분석해서 기술하였다.

농업용 트랙터 PTO 전동라인의 래틀 소음 분석 (Analysis of the PTO Driveline Rattle Noise on an Agricultural Tractor)

  • In this study, we analyze the rattle noise of a power takeoff (PTO) driveline and develop a PTO driveline resonance model. We measured the rattle noise of the PTO driveline on the output shaft and, by analyzing the rattle noise in the time domain, we determine that the engine expansion stroke period matches the sound pressure of rattle noise. This finding helped us demonstrate that the rattle noise is caused by the collision between the PTO driving gear and the gear driven by the engine expansion stroke; the torsional vibration caused by this collision is affected by the angular velocity fluctuation of the PTO drive shaft. By measuring the angular velocity of the PTO drive shaft, we confirm that the angular velocity fluctuation of the engine flywheel tends to excessively amplify the PTO drive shaft angular velocity fluctuation. We conclude that the resonance, which occurs when the operating frequency of the engine is close to the natural frequency of the tractor power transmission system, causes the excessive angular velocity fluctuation of the PTO drive shaft. We performed a modal analysis of the PTO driveline resonance and, using the characteristic equation, we show that the resonance occurs when the engine rotation speed is close to 850 rpm, which matches the natural frequency of the PTO driveline.

극저온 환경 하 플라이우드의 전단 거동 및 파손 특성 분석 (Analysis of Shear Behavior and Fracture Characteristics of Plywood in Cryogenic Environment)

  • Plywood is a laminated wood material where alternating layers are perpendicular to each other. It is used in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier for an insulation system because it has excellent durability, a light weight, and high stiffness. An LNG cargo containment system (LNG CCS) is subjected to loads from gravity, sloshing impact, hydrostatic pressure, and thermal expansion. Shear forces are applied to an LNG CCS locally by these loads. For these reasons, the materials in an LNG CCS must have good mechanical performance. This study evaluated the shear behavior of plywood. This evaluation was conducted from room temperature ($25^{\circ}C$) to cryogenic temperature ($-163^{\circ}C$), which is the actual operating environment of an LNG storage tank. Based on the plywood used in an LNG storage tank, a shear test was conducted on specimens with thicknesses of 9 mm and 12 mm. Analyses were performed on how the temperature and thickness of the plywood affected the shear strength. Regardless of the thickness, the strength increased as the temperature decreased. The 9 mm thick plywood had greater strength than the 12 mm thick specimen, and this tendency became clearer as the temperature decreased.

열변형 해석을 이용한 냉장고 수축팽창 소음저감 (Reduction of contraction and expansion noise of refrigerator using thermal deformation analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 수축 및 팽창 소음 발생 메커니즘을 분석하고, 냉장고 운전 중에 소음발생 빈도를 줄이기 위한 효과적인 방법을 제안하였다. 냉장고의 수축팽창음 발생 시에 제품의 품질비용 상승에 영향을 주기 때문에 저감이 필요하다. 먼저, 무향실에서 측정된 음압 신호를 이용하여 주파수 스펙트럼 분석을 수행하여 소음의 특성과 발생 빈도를 분석하였다. 둘째, 열변형 해석을 수행하여 소음원의 위치를 예측했다. 분석결과에서 가장 큰 열변형은 냉동실의 왼쪽 내부 케이스의 중간에서 발생하였다. 또한 음원 위치의 가속도 레벨을 평가한 결과, 소음을 발생시키는 내부 부품이 냉동실의 세 번째 선반임을 알 수 있었다. 냉장고의 중앙 ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) 두께 증가에 의한 열변형 저감을 통하여 수축팽창음을 저감할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Part I에 소개된 요소모델들을 통합하여 핀틀 추력기 성능 특성을 분석하였다. 성능해석 모델 검증을 위하여 케로신/과산화수소 액체 핀틀 추력기의 실험결과와 비교 분석하였다. 검증한 결과를 바탕으로 핀틀 추력기 내부의 비정상 열유동장의 물리적 특성을 분석하였으며 필름효과를 확인하였다. 또한 추력기의 형상인자와 작동인자가 성능특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 OAT 방법과 scatter plot 방법을 이용해 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 액적직경, 필름유량, O/F비, 노즐목 직경의 4가지 인자를 이용해 특성속도, 연소실 압력, 비추력의 변화에 대한 영향을 관찰하였다.

전기화학 에칭 공정을 이용한 스테인리스 스틸 메쉬의 방수 특성 연구 (A Study on Water-Proof Characteristics of a Stainless Steel Mesh by Electrochemical Etching Process)

  • A straightforward, yet effective surface modification method of stainless steel mesh and its interesting anti-wetting characteristics are reported in this study. The stainless steel mesh is electrochemically etched, and the specimen has both micro and nano-scale structures on its surface. This process transforms the two types of mesh specimens known as the regular and dense specimens into hydrophobic specimens without applying any hydrophobic chemical coating process. The fundamental wettability of the modified mesh is analyzed through a dedicatedly designed experiment to investigate the waterproof characteristics, for instance, the penetration threshold. The waterproof characteristics are evaluated in a manner that the modified mesh resists as high as approximately 2.7 times the pressure compared with the bare mesh, i.e., the non-modified mesh. The results show that the penetration threshold depends primarily on the advancing contact angles, and the penetration stop behaviors are affected by the contact angle hysteresis on the surfaces. The findings further confirm that the inexpensive waterproof meshes created using the proposed straightforward electrochemical etching process are effective and can be adapted along with appropriate designs for various practical applications, such as underwater devices, passive valves, and transducers. In general, , additional chemical coatings are applied using hydrophobic materials on the surfaces for the applications that require water-repelling capabilities. Although these chemical coatings can often cause aging, the process proposed in this study is not only cost-effective, but also durable implying that it does not lose its waterproof properties over time.

PVC 표면치장재를 적층한 치장목질마루판의 열특성 및 기초 품질성능 분석 (The Analysis of Thermal Conductivity and Basic Quality Performances of Decoration Wood-based Flooring Board Laminated with PVC Surface Decoration Materials)

  • For test on flooring board laminated with PVC decoration materials in order to replace the current surface materials such as HPL in decoration wood-based flooring board. the Results of comparison and analysis are as follows: For thermal conductivity, flooring board decorated with PVC did not show huge differences when temperature was rising and lowering compared to the flooring materials laminated with the existing HPL surface materials. It seems the most meaningful results for using it as indoor flooring materials. That is, in Korea where there is the culture focusing on ondol heating, use amount of heat energy and efficiency of flooring materials are very important and sensitive issues, involving immediately with household economy of final consumers, and it might be a criteria to judge basic performances required as flooring materials. As a result of the analysis on mandatory durability test items such as abrasion resistance, absorption width expansion rate, impact resistance, surface hardness, and impact absorption for flooring materials, compared to flooring board laminated with general HPL surface decoration materials, decoration wood-based flooring board laminated with PVC surface decoration materials which is higher abrasion resistance with smaller transformation and has better durability and impact absorption of the surface, is available for actual application as indoor flooring board, and for replacing surface decoration materials impregnated with heat-hardened resion such as HPL.

유동성 채움재 타설로 굴착부를 충진한 매립관의 변형특성 연구 (The Study of Deformation Characteristics into Landfill and Underground Pipe using CLSM)

  • 기존 지하 매설관 시공법의 경우 관의 하단부 다짐이 어렵고, 다짐효율이 좋지 않아 지하 매설물의 안정성을 저감시키고 이로 인한 파손이 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법 중 하나가 유동성 채움재를 이용하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지하 매설관 시공 시 뒤채움재의 종류에 따른 매설관의 거동을 파악하기 위하여 지하 매설관에 대한 수치해석을 수행하였고, 동일한 조건에서 뒤채움재의 종류에 따른 관의 주요 부분의 변위, 지표침하, 수직토압을 비교 검토하여 지하 매설관의 변형특성을 예측하였다. 수치해석을 시행한 결과 뒤채움재로 유동성 채움재를 사용하는 것이 일반모래를 사용하는 것에 비해 지표침하 및 관변형량이 작아지고 수직토압 또한 감소한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

원자로압력용기용 SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Mo-Cr계 저합금강 용접열영향부의 용접후열처리에 따른 미세조직과 기계적 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Microstructure and Mechanical Properties on Post-Weld Heat Treatment in the Heat Affected Zone of SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Mo-Cr Low Alloy Steel for Reactor Pressure Vessel)

  • The heat-affected zone (HAZ) of SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steel, which has higher Ni and Cr contents than SA508 Gr.3 Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel, was investigated on the microstructure and mechanical properties. The HAZ was categorized into seven characteristic zones (CGCG, FGCG, ICCG, SCCG, FGFG, ICIC and SCSC-HAZ) according to the peak temperature from the thermal cycle experienced during multi-pass welding. Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) was conducted in the temperature range of $550{\sim}610^{\circ}C$ for 30 hours to evaluate the effect of PWHT conditions on the microstructure and mechanical properties. Before PWHT, CGHAZ and FGFGHAZ showed high yield strength (YS) ranging from 1000 to 1250 MPa, while YS of SCSCHAZ decreased from 607 MPa (observed for base metal) to 501 MPa. The Charpy impact energies of sub-HAZs fell below 100J at $-29^{\circ}C$, except in the SCSCHAZ. By applying PWHT to sub-HAZ specimens, YS decreased as the PWHT temperature increased. In the case of CGHAZs and FGFGHAZ heat-treated at $610^{\circ}C$, YS dropped drastically to the range of 654~686 MPa. From the Charpy impact test, the upper-shelf energy (USE) increased to approximately 250J and Index temperature ($T_{68J}$) decreased below $-50^{\circ}C$. Specifically, in FGFG, ICIC and SCSC-HAZ, $T_{68J}$ was below -110, which was lower than the case of base metal.

  • This study attempted to develop winter jackets and pants patterns reflecting the latest comfortable and active school uniform trends, using middle school boy avatars having various body shapes. Jacket and pants pattern-drawing methods and margins differed. Based on the results, research prototypes were prepared. Then, virtual wear prospective drawings, clothing pressure, and appearance were assessed according to body shape. Jackets were assessed using 25 factors, while pants were assessed using 19. Then, correlations between the jackets and pants were analyzed. According to the analysis, the reason why the dart & tuck position and margin were rated low was confirmed. In a virtual wear assessment on jacket patterns by body shape, a significant difference was found in all categories, except for fit and shape at the front bottom, sleeve length on the side, and the center back line. The virtual wear assessment on the pants patterns by body shape also revealed a significant difference in all categories, except for pants length. In jackets, a significant influence was observed around the shoulders and waist in Type 1 and around the belly in Type 2. On the contrary, for pants, a significant influence was found around the hip and waist in Type 1 and around back crotch in Type 2. Therefore, they should be considered when making of jackets and pants. The above results suggested that jacket and pants patterns should vary depending on body shape. It is anticipated that there should be further studies comparing brand-name school uniforms for middle school girls and school uniforms by body shape.
