  • SMD Equipment convey an electronic parts at high speed, then assemble parts into a circuit board, and it develop a long time-duration dynamic force to be caused by moving mass. Vibration problem to be caused by SMD Equipment have an effect on micro-meter level's precision production process, directly, and dynamic stability of building. In the cause of quantitatively access about its vibration problem, input information(or data) of structure dynamic analysis need accuracy information of dynamic load. Determination of Dynamic load is various kinds of method using experimental and theory. In this paper, we got dynamic load using direct measurement method. We expect that an study on the dynamic load characteristic of SMD can be used to Equipment development of low level vibration and basis information of structure dynamic analysis.

  • The transfer matrix method is used to determine the dynamic characteristics(natural frequencies and mode shapes) by rotational speed of wind turbine blade. The problems treated on this study is coupled flapwise bending and chordwise bending of pre-twisted nonuniform wind turbine blade. The orthogonality relations that exist between the vibrational modes is derived and the algorithm for determination of the natural vibrational characteristics is suggested.

  • The electron transport coefficients, the electron drift velocity W, the longitudinal diffusion coefficient $ND_L$ in $C_{3}F_{8}-Ar$ mixture gases were measured by Double shutter drift tube and calculated by multi-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation over the wide E/N range from 0.03 to 100 Td. And an inelastic collision cross sections for $C_{3}F_{8}$ molecular gas were redetermined for quantitative characteristic analysis.

  • According to operating conditions of each engine, a PCV valve has various flow rates and pressure characteristic. In a developed country, it has been developing by a computational design simulation. But, Korean companies have no ability of technical design for a PCV valve. So, they depend on their experiments and copy the designs of foreign companies when they need to design new PCV valves. These problems cause increase of error rate and take much time. Hence, optimal design for a PCV valve is needed to secure for continuous competition against foreign automobile companies. In this study, we used 4th order Runge-Kutta method for the prediction of spool movements and applied Bernoulli's equation for the determination of flow area. A spool geometry and spool displacement were predicted to be satisfied in comparison with their experiment.

  • In order to investigate the characteristics of diamond wheel grinding of ceramic materials, grinding resistance, surface roughness of ground surface and image of grinding wheel were acquired using experimental method. Through the experiments, this makes it possible to observe grinding wheel behavior by grinding resistance, surface roughness and cutting edge ratio. In case of $Al_2O_3$, cutting edge ratio is bigger than that of $ZrO_2$ and $Si_3N_4$. That's because $Al_2O_3$ has a characteristic of low fracture toughness and bending stress.

  • The basic idea of Quality Function Deployment(QFD) is to deploy the voice of customers into the final product through product planning, part planning, process planning, and manufacturing. In the product planning stage, which is the first stage of product development, customer attributes(CAs) are translated into engineering characteristics(ECs). Then, based on the relationship between CAs and ECs, the target values of ECs are determined. In the previous research, the process of analyzing these relationships is mostly subjective in nature. In this article, we formulate the process of determining the target values of ECs as an optimization model. That is, we first determine the relationship between CAs and ECs as cumulative logit models and construct constraints into which the company strategy as well as the needs of customers can be incorprated. Next, cost functions of ECs are developed, which are summed into an objective function. An algorithm to solve the formulated optimization problem is developed and illustrated with an example.

  • The most challenging and emerging field of biotechnology is the tailoring of proteins to attain the desired characteristic properties. In order to increase the stability of proteins and to study the function of proteins, the mechanism by which proteins fold and unfold should be known. It has been debated for a long time how exactly the linear form of a protein is converted into a stable 3-dimensional structure. The literature showed that many theories support the fact that protein folding E5 a Thermodynamically controlled process. It is also possible to predict the mechanism of protein deactivation and Stability to an extent from thermodynamic studies. This article reviewed various theories that have been proposed to explain the process of protein folding after its biosynthesis in ribosomes. The theories of the determination of the thermodynamic properties and the interpretation of thermodynamic data of protein stability are 3150 discussed in this article.

  • Air quality index (AQI) or air pollution index (API) is commonly used to report the level of severity of air pollution to public. A number of methods were developed in the past by various researchers/environmental agencies for determination of AQI or API but there is no universally accepted method exists, which is appropriate for all situations. Different method uses different aggregation function in calculating AQI or API and also considers different types and numbers of pollutants. The intended uses of AQI or API are to identify the poor air quality zones and public reporting for severity of exposure of poor air quality. Most of the AQI or API indices can be broadly classify as single pollutant index or multi-pollutant index with different aggregation method. Every indexing method has its own characteristic strengths and weaknesses that affect its suitability for particular applications. This paper attempt to present a review of all the major air quality indices developed worldwide.

  • A laboratory scale thermogravimetric analyser was developed to investigate the combustion characteristics of selected solid fuel(wood) in the highly preheated air. The aims are to introduce in the means of experimental determination of the solid fuel particle characteristics through the combustion process in the environment of highly preheated air. A nearly single particle combustion condition was reproduced in a thermogravimetric analyser and regenerating combustor. For a fuel particle whose characteristic length was a few centimeter, the sub-processes of fuel drying, pyrolysis as well as the combustion of residual carbon were identified. Fluidized environment of carrier gas was selected as the major parameter which affect the combustion process.

  • This paper presents three algorithms of repetitive controller for compensation of the repeatable uncut in hard disk drive. The basic theory of the repetitive controller and the analysis of the disturbance in hard disk drive are introduced. The tracking controller is designed in order to design the "plug-in type" repetitive controller. Design of the repetitive controller is considered as the design of the filter, determination of Gain and design of additional compensation for the various types. Specially, trade-off relationship between stability and performance is important factor for the design. The thee kinds of "plug-in type" repetitive controllers are designed simulated and experimented. Performance and characteristic of them are compared by the analysis of the experimental results
