IEEE 802.15.4e-TSCH is recognized as a wireless industrial sensor network standard used in IoT systems. To ensure both power savings and reliable communications, the TSCH standard uses techniques including channel hopping and bandwidth reserve. In TSCH mode, scheduling is crucial because it allows sensor nodes to select when data should be delivered or received. Because a wide range of applications may necessitate energy economy and transmission dependability, we present a distributed approach that uses a cluster tree topology to forecast scheduling requirements for the following slotframe, concentrating on the Poisson model. The proposed Optimized Minimal Scheduling Function (OMSF) is interested in the details of the scheduling time intervals, something that was not supported by the Minimal Scheduling Function (MSF) proposed by the 6TSCH group. Our contribution helps to deduce the number of cells needed in the following slotframe by reducing the number of negotiation operations between the pairs of nodes in each cluster to settle on a schedule. As a result, the cluster tree network's error rate, traffic load, latency, and queue size have all decreased.

It is important to use the comb type pilot allocation for the continuous channel and efficient processing. And DFT-spreading OFDM is used a lot to solve high PAPR problem of OFDM system. However, PAPR is increased again when comb type pilot is used to estimate channel characteristics. So, in this paper, we employ a new SLM method to DFT-spreading OFDM system to reduce increased high PAPR. And we suggest an effective method to transmit side information without additional bandwidth. Pilot and side information must be preserved from jamming or intentional interferences since those are very important in DFT spread OFDM system using SLM. So, in this paper, we like to analyze and simulate the performance of DFT spread OFDM system based on SLM against jamming signal. To remedy the vulnerable shortcomings of DFT spread OFDM about jamming or intentional interferences, we employ FH(Frequency Hopping) method and analyze system performance under the several jamming conditions such as MTJ(Multi Tone Jamming) and PBJ(Partial Band Jamming).

The multi-band (MB) ultra-wideband (UWB) communication system divides its available frequency spectrum in 3.1 to 10.6GHz into 16 sub-bands, which leads to inherent disparities between carrier frequencies of each sub-band. For instance, the highest carrier frequency is 2.65 times higher than the lowest one. Since the propagation loss is proportional to the square of the transmission frequency, the propagation loss on the sub-band having the highest carrier frequency is approximately 7 times larger than that on the sub-band having the lowest carrier frequency, which results in disparities between received signal powers on each sub-band. In this paper, we propose a novel correlation scheme for frequency hopping (FH) MB UWB communications, where the correlation time is adaptively adjusted relative to the sub-band, which reduces the disparity between the received signal energies on each sub-band. Such compensation for lower received powers on sub-bands having higher carrier frequency leads to an improvement on the total average bit error rate (BER) of the entire FH MB UWB communication system. We analyze the performance of the proposed correlation scheme in Nakagami fading channels, and it is shown that the performance gain provided by the proposed correlator is more significant as the Nakagami fading index n increases (i.e., better channel conditions).

A technology of GEO satellite communications starts from Koreasat program in Korea. Payload equipment of EQM Ku and Ka band transponders had been developed and space-qualified Ka band payload in COMS was successfully launched in June, 2010. For the purpose of military communications, Dehop-Rehop transponder was developed in Koreasat5 as ANASIS system and DAT(Digital Active Transponder) and DCAMP(Digital Channel AMPlifier) transponders are now under development. In this paper, from the study of military satellite communications trend, a direction of military communication satellite is suggested based on the current GEO SATCOM technologies in Korea. Considering the limit of frequency resources, a technology of battlefield adaptive transponder with medium capacity against high moveable jamming tactics would be efficient for the future military SATCOM system. Mid-sized military satellites with frequency hopping and mid-capacity transponders can be a solution of vitalizing the GEO satellite programs.

In providing video-on-demand (VoD) services to a number of clients through networks, the bandwidth requirements of video transmission restrict VoD services. For this reason, many significant broadcasting-based VoD schemes have been proposed to efficiently support services. However, the broadcasting-based VoD schemes approach needs frequency channel hopping, using many channels at the same time and managing many segments of a video. These make it difficult to implement. In this paper, we propose a Harmonic Staggered broadcasting scheme which has a simple structure and substantially improved VoD efficiency. The numerical results demonstrate that the viewer's waiting time of the Harmonic Staggered broadcasting scheme is close to the harmonic broadcasting scheme and the maximum buffer requirements of this can be adapted for demanding rate by adjusting the short front part of a video sizes.

In designing a video-on-demand (VoD) system, one of the major challenges is how to reduce the viewer's waiting time maintaining a given bandwidth allocation and how to reduce the client's buffer requirements. To solve these problems, many VoD schemes were proposed. However, most VoD schemes require managing many segments of a video, frequency channel hopping, and using many channels at the same time. Therefore, to the complexity is a barrier to implementation. In this paper, we propose a fast staggered broadcasting scheme which has a simple structure and substantially improved VoD efficiency. The numerical results demonstrate that the viewer's waiting time of the fast staggered broadcasting scheme is close to the fast broadcasting scheme and the buffer requirements of this can be adapt for demanding rate by adjusting the short front part of a video sizes.

Research and development are being conducted to apply low-power Bluetooth (BLE) technology to IoT (Internet of Things) applications. The characteristic of this application environment is that many piconets can operate in the same space. Therefore, interference between homogeneous networks is likely to occur. In the BLE data channel, adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) scheme is used among the 37 frequency channels, and the master and the slave communicate while changing the carrier frequency. If there are multiple BLE piconets in the same space, there is a risk of frequency collision and packet errors will occur. In this paper, we analyze the packet collision probability due to cochannel interference in multiple asynchronous BLE piconet environments. Specifically, we analyzed packet collision probability according to the number of concurrently operating BLE piconets with the ratio of connection interval to connection event length as the main parameters. The analysis result can be used to set connection event related parameters for a desired packet collision probability according to the number of users having BLE devices in a given space.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of UWB MC-CDMA system and compareit with DS-CDMA and OFDM systems, which have been drafting in standardization even now. Too many Rake Fingers are needed in the DS-CDMA system to separate multi-path signals, which results in highsystem complexity. OFDM radio power fails to qualify for FCC certification unless frequency hopping. From this reason, MC-CDMA system considered is proposed in this paper. It has lower complexity compared with DS-CDMA and shows good performance against frequency selective fading. In addition, for a wide-band communication, less radio power per spectrum is allowed in the MC-CDMA system than in an OFDM system. Simulation result show that the DS-CDMA system has better performance with single user, but MC-CDMA system shows best performance in case of multi user environment.

This paper describes packet scheduling techniques that can be used to alleviate the impact of interference. The mechanism is consisted of interference estimation and master delay police. Proposed scheduling police is effective in reducing packet loss and delay. Another advantage worth mentioning, are the additional saving s in the transmitter power since packet are not transmitted when channel is bad. This paper gives that scheduling policy works only with data traffic since voice packets need to be sent at fixed intervals. However, if the delay variance is constant and the delay can be limited to a slot, it may be worthwhile to use DM packet for voice.

In this paper, satellite data link waveform is proposed which is based on the waveform of Link-16 but LDPC code is studied instead of CCSK code in order to be optimized to satellite nonlinear channel environment and transmission characteristics. And the DSM (Demux, Selective CH switch, and Mux) transponder structure is suggested which can remove all of the jamming signal out of the transmission signal band and convert uplink hopping frequency to desired ones of downlink. The results of BER and anti-jamming performance analysis shows that the required Eb/No and processing gain in the worst case partial band jammer of the proposed waveform are 2.5dB and 52dB respectively and the anti-jamming capacity improvement of DSM transponder is maximum 2dB.
