Sequential Least Square Channel Estimation in OFDM Systems (OFDM 시스템에서의 Sequential Least Squares 채널 추정 방식)

  • The use of multi-level modulation scheme in the wireless LAN(Local Area Networks) system requires an accurate channel estimation. In this paper, we present sequential least squares(LS) channel estimation scheme based on decision-directed channel tracking scheme. The proposed scheme improves the performance of the conventional LS estimator for wireless LAN. In addition, its structure is suitable for the high-rate wireless LAN. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves about IdB Packet Error Rate(PER) gain compared to the LS scheme in a frequency selective channel.

CFD MODELING VEGETATED CHANNEL FLOWS: A STATE-OF-THE-ART REVIEW

  • This paper presents the state of the art of the CFD applications to vegetated open-channel flows. First, important aspects of the physics of vegetated flows found through the laboratory experiments are briefly reviewed. Then, previous CFD applications to one-dimensional vertical structure, partly-vegetated flows, compound open-channel flows with floodplain vegetation, and fully three-dimensional numerical simulations are reviewed. Finally, topics for further researches such as relationship between the resistance and flexural rigidity, additional drag due to foliages, and melting the experience of CFD with the depth-averaged modeling, are suggested.

  • An adaptive MMSE detector can be used to cancel the MAI in CDMA system. But standard adaptive MMSE detector cannot be used in real mobile environment due to fast fading channel. Furthermore multipath reception make it more difficult to converge to optimum weight values. In this paper we discuss and model the multipath fading environment in Forward-link Synchronous CDMA channels and propose adaptive MMSE RAKE detector structure which can be applied in the mobile station. A proposed adaptive MMSE detector requires estimation of received signal delay and complex channel coefficients such as amplitude and phase variation. These burden can be solved by utilizing the common pilot channel. The pilot channel may have higher power than the traffic channel, which give more exact channel estimation. Moreover RAKE structure gives more accurate and stable result which can be used as reliable reference signal in multipath fading channel environment. With this structure, conventional adaptive algorithm such as LMS or NLMS can be applied in adaptive MMSE detector.

  • An Improvement of channel structure for sound fish habitat suitability enhancement is investigated. The restoration target species of Zacco Koreanus which is represented a sound aquatic ecosystem is selected by investigating results of the fish fauna and the river environments. The changes of lower channel width for enhancing suitability indices for water velocity and depth result in habitat suitability enhancement in general by PHABSIM simulation. The habitat suitability enhancement is not guaranteed consistently by the changes of lower channel is confirmed. The optimal lower channel widths at each reach are presented by genetic algorithm of optimization which is considering the enhancement of suitability indices for water velocity and depth with given instream flows. The suggested plan of the lower channel modification will contribute to the various projects for the environmental improvement of aquatic system.

  • Recently, Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) circuit & deep-submicron bulk Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor(CMOS) devices require gate electrode materials such as metal-silicide, Titanium-silicide for gate oxides. Many previous authors have researched the improvement sub-micron gate oxide quality. However, few have reported on the electrical quality and reliability on the ultra thin gate oxide. In this paper, at first, I recommand a novel shallow trench isolation structure to suppress the corner metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET) inherent to shallow trench isolation for sub 0.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ gate oxide. Different from using normal LOCOS technology deep-submicron CMOS devices using novel Shallow Trench Isolation(STI) technology have a unique"inverse narrow-channel effects"-when the channel width of the devices is scaled down, their threshold voltage is shrunk instead of increased as for the contribution of the channel edge current to the total channel current as the channel width is reduced. Secondly, Titanium silicide process clarified that fluorine contamination caused by the gate sidewall etching inhibits the silicidation reaction and accelerates agglomeration. To overcome these problems, a novel Two-step Deposited silicide(TDS) process has been developed. The key point of this process is the deposition and subsequent removal of titanium before silicidation. Based on the research, It is found that novel STI structure by the SEM, in addition to thermally stable silicide process was achieved. We also obtained the decrease threshold voltage value of the channel edge. resulting in the better improvement of the narrow channel effect. low sheet resistance and stress, and high threshold voltage. Besides, sheet resistance and stress value, rms(root mean square) by AFM were observed. On the electrical characteristics, low leakage current and trap density at the Si/SiO$_2$were confirmed by the high threshold voltage sub 0.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ gate oxide.

  • The HANARO, a multi-purpose research reactor of 30 MWth open-tank-in-pool type, has been under normal operation since its initial criticality in February, 1995. Many experiments should be safely performed to activate the utilization of the HANARO. A flow simulated test facility has been developed for the verification of structural integrity of those experimental facilities prior to loading In the HANARO. This test facility is composed of three major parts; a half-core structure assembly, flow circulation system and support system. The half-core structure assembly is composed of plenum, grid plate, core channel with flow tubes, chimney and dummy pool. The flow channels are to be filled with flow orifices to simulate similar flow characteristics to the HANARO. This paper describes an analysis of the flow distribution of the cote channel and compares with the test results. As results, the analysis showed similar flow characteristics compared with those in the test results.

  • A new method on the hardware implementation of multi-channel Finite Impulse Response(FIR) digital filter using vector multiplication structure is proposed. The proposed method can reduce the complexity of hardware structure and improve execution speed. The frequency response of four channel digital filter implemented by the above method is quite agreeable with the frquency response simulated by Remez method.

  • The RGO with controllable oxygen functional groups is a novel material as the active layer of resistive switching memory through a reduction process. We designed a nanoscale conductive channel induced by local oxygen ion diffusion in an Au / RGO+GQD / Al resistive switching memory structure. A strong electric field was locally generated around the Al metal channel generated in BIL, and the local formation of a direct conductive low-dimensional channel in the complex RGO graphene quantum dot region was confirmed. The resistive memory design of the complex RGO graphene quantum dot structure can be applied as an effective structure for charge transport, and it has been shown that the resistive switching mechanism based on the movement of oxygen and metal ions is a fundamental alternative to understanding and application of next-generation intelligent semiconductor systems.

Knowledge Recommendation Based on Dual Channel Hypergraph Convolution

  • Knowledge recommendation is a type of recommendation system that recommends knowledge content to users in order to satisfy their needs. Although using graph neural networks to extract data features is an effective method for solving the recommendation problem, there is information loss when modeling real-world problems because an edge in a graph structure can only be associated with two nodes. Because one super-edge in the hypergraph structure can be connected with several nodes and the effectiveness of knowledge graph for knowledge expression, a dual-channel hypergraph convolutional neural network model (DCHC) based on hypergraph structure and knowledge graph is proposed. The model divides user data and knowledge data into user subhypergraph and knowledge subhypergraph, respectively, and extracts user data features by dual-channel hypergraph convolution and knowledge data features by combining with knowledge graph technology, and finally generates recommendation results based on the obtained user embedding and knowledge embedding. The performance of DCHC model is higher than the comparative model under AUC and F1 evaluation indicators, comparative experiments with the baseline also demonstrate the validity of DCHC model.

  • LED light driving device has problems in efficiency and heating at higher than 150W. In addition, there is inconvenience in replacing the lighting device to another when W is not the same as the previous one. In this paper, a multi-channel LED light driver, driver embedded driver circuit in a multi-channel structure with a power system in the driver-interlocking structure was designed. With the auto control converter structure with a power efficiency above 93% and power factor above 0.98, the weight of the high efficiency LED lighting-actuating device in driver-interlocking structure, a driver in self-calibrating self-optimization structure. In this paper, at below 10% THD, the existing converter contrast weight was reduced by 40% or more.
