  • A type of integrated multiple-single-channel analyzer (IMSCA) is described. The IMSCA works with an input pulse of 2-20 pC, and it can be directly connected to a scintillation detector, which eliminates the need for a linear amplifier. It consists of 64 input ports, so 1-64 detectors can be set by users according to different requirements. Two energy regions for each input channel can be simultaneously analyzed. Another advantage of the IMSCA is that it integrates with a high-speed pulse signal acquisition card and transmits data to the computer through the network. The maximum pulse through-rate is 1.4 MHz, and linearity can reach 0.1%. This IMSCA has been successfully used in enrichment detecting of nuclear fuel rod.

  • Authentication schemes preserving user anonymity have first been proposed by Das et al, and most of user anonymity schemes provide user anonymity against outside attacks in the communication channel. In this paper, according to the increasing of personal information exposure incidents by server attack, we propose a new authentication scheme that provides user anonymity against server as well as one against outside attacks in the communication channel. Furthermore, the proposed authentication scheme provides traceability that remote server should be able to trace the malicious user and it also solves the problem of increasing computational load of remote server by solving weakness of wrong password input by mistake.

  • Radio frequency identification (RF-ID) is an automatic data capture (ADC) technology that comprises small data-carrying device(is called Tag) and fixed or mobile device(is called reader). Tags are attached or deattached device. Readers may be installed at locations where data capture is required, and may also be in the form of portable readers. In this paper, we are proposing an application for the subway station using the RF-ID system and a system for the gateless fare collection passing through the booth in only carrying the card. In this system that RF-ID system and Bluetooth are applied. We designed two wireless communication channels. One is the 125kHz communication channel by FSK and PSK for power supplying on the card and identification and the other is 2.4GHz channel for the collection.

  • Due to widely use of internet, a lot of users frequently access into remote server in distributed computing environment. However, transmitting the information using vulnerable channel without authentication security system can be exposed to replay attack, offline password attack, and impersonation attack. According to this possibility, there is research about authentication protocol to prevent these hostile attacks using smart card. In this paper, we analyze vulnerability of user authentication system based on password and propose modified user authentication system.

  • With increasing demands for security evaluation of side-channel resistance for crypto algorithm implementations, many equipments are developed at various research institutes. Indeed, commercial products came out for the purpose of evaluation and certification tool of security products. However, various types of security products exclusive a smart card make it difficult to implement a security evaluation system for them. In this paper, we describe implementation and characteristic of the side-channel evaluation boards of the KLA-SCARF, which is the project to develop domestic side-channel evaluation system. This report would be helpful for following researchers who intend to develop side-channel evaluation boards for other security devices.

  • Multi-site testing is considered as a solution to reduce test costs. This paper presents a new channel sharing architecture that enables I/O pins to share automatic test equipment (ATE) channels using simple circuitry such as tri-state buffers, AND gates, and multiple-input signature registers (MISR). The main advantage of the proposed architecture is that it is implemented on probe cards and does not require any additional circuitry on a target device under test (DUT). In addition, the proposed architecture can perform DC parametric testing of the DUT such as leakage testing, even if the different DUTs share the same ATE channels. The simulation results show that the proposed architecture is very efficient and is applicable to both wafer testing and package testing.

  • On the emergence of ISDN which has been introduced in the year 1980, various services are supported. This paper presents implementation of ISDN user/network protocol analyzer based on PC-extension card. Firmware and software are loaded on the PC-extension card using PC 05. The performance analysis on D-channel signalling on this system is surveyed. The monitoring results satisfiy with ISDN BRI or PRI interfaces.

  • In this paper, We propose an efficient remote password authentication scheme that enables network users to access and open distributed network. Our authentication Scheme provides a pair of a center-supplied password and a user key for a network user. The center-supplied password is generated on the center, and the user key can be chosen by the network user. Each network user can access multiple centers through the open and distributed network by using single super smart card. The passwords generated by network centers are sent to the network users via secure channel, and put into their own supper smart card by themselves.

  • When implementing cryptographic algorithms in mobile devices like smart cards, the security against side-channel attacks should be considered. Side-channel attacks try to find critical information from the side-channel infromation obtained from the underlying cryptographic devices' execution. Especially, the power analysis attack uses the power consumption profile of the devices as the side-channel information. This paper proposes a new gate-level countermeasure against the power analysis attack and the glitch attack and suggests how to apply the measure to securely implement AES.

  • This paper shows that design, manufacture and the performance of FC-NIC (fibre channel network interface card) for network unit configuration which is based on one of the 5 main configuration items of the common functional module for IMA (integrated modular Avionics) architecture. Especially, FC-NIC uses zynq SoC (system on chip) for host load reductions. The host merely transmit FC destination address, source memory location and size information to the FC-NIC. After then the FC-NIC read the host memory via DMA (direct memory access). FC upper layer protocol and sequence process at local processor and programmable logic of FC-NIC zynq SoC. It enables to free from host load for external communication. The performance of FC-NIC shows average 5.47 us low end-to-end latency at 2.125 Gbps line speed. It represent that FC-NIC is one of good candidate network for IMA.
