전력수요의 가격탄력성을 이용한 수요반응 프로그램 (Demand Response Program Using the Price Elasticity of Power Demand)

  • With the growing penetration of distributed generation including from renewable sources, smart grid power system is needed to address the reliability problem. One important feature of smart grid is demand response. In order to design a demand response program, it is indispensable to understand how consumer reacts upon the change of electricity price. In this paper, we construct an econometrics model to estimate the hourly price elasticity of demand. This panel model utilizes the hourly load data obtained from KEPCO for the period from year 2005 to 2009. The hourly price elasticity of demand is found to be statistically significant for all the sample under investigation. The samples used for this analysis is from the past historical data under the price structure of three different time zones for each season. The result of the analysis of this time of use pricing structure would allow the policy maker design an appropriate incentive program. This study is important in the sense that it provides a basic research information for designing future demand response programs.

2인 조정게임의 베이지안 의사결정모형 (On the Bayesian Fecision Making Model of 2-Person Coordination Game)

  • Most of the conflict problems between 2 persons can be represented as a bi-matrix game, because player's utilities, in general, are non-zero sum and change according to the progress of game. In the bi-matrix game the equilibrium point set which satisfies the Pareto optimality can be a good bargaining or coordination solution. Under the condition of incomplete information about the risk attitudes of the players, the bargaining or coordination solution depends on additional elements, namely, the players' methods of making inferences when they reach a node in the extensive form of the game that is off the equilibrium path. So the investigation about the players' inference type and its effects on the solution is essential. In addition to that, the effect of an individual's aversion to risk on various solutions in conflict problems, as expressed in his (her) utility function, must be considered. Those kinds of incomplete information make decision maker Bayesian, since it is often impossible to get correct information for building a decision making model. In Baysian point of view, this paper represents an analytic frame for guessing and learning opponent's attitude to risk for getting better reward. As an example for that analytic frame. 2 persons'bi-matrix game is considered. This example explains that a bi-matrix game can be transformed into a kind of matrix game through the players' implicitly cooperative attitude and the need of arbitration.

적정기술과 오픈소스를 활용한 메이커 교육 방안 (Maker Education Plan with Appropriate Technology Theme)

  • 본 연구에서는 공업계 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 MBTI 성격유형 검사를 한 후 프로그래밍 수업을 실시하여 학생들의 학습태도를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 창의적 문제해결모형과 통합사고모형을 기반으로 학습을 설계하였다. 학생들은 I(내성적)형과 O(외향적)형을 1차로 나누고 T(사고형)형과 P(인식형)형을 2차로 분류하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 성격 유형에 따른 학습동기 요소를 알 수 있었다. 이에 추후 연구로는 학습자의 성격유형에 따라 학습방법의 변화를 연구하고자 한다.

제2고조파발생을 이용한 LiNbO$_3$의 중요 광굴절상수측정 (Determination of photorefrative constants in LiNbO$_3$ using second harmonic generation)

  • 반전대칭이 없는 광굴절결정에 있어 위상접합이 만족되지 않은 상태에서 발생된 제2고조파의 세기가 외부전기장에 의존한다는 사실을 이용하여 광굴적결정의 광굴절율 변형현상에 관한 중요상수를 측정할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다. 마커무늬의 전기장의존도에 관한 근사식을 구하였고 이를 이용하여 제2고조파의 세기변화로부터 공간전하장의 크기를 측정할 수있었다. 실험적으로 congruent $LiNbO_3$에 빛을 두가지 다른 세기로 비추어 유도되는 공간저하장의 시간의존성을 조사하였고 측정결과를 근사식과 비교분석하여 $LiNbO_3$의 광기전력상수, 암전도상수 및 광전도상수를 결정할 수 있었다.

우리나라 약학대학의 홈페이지를 통해 고찰한 교육이념 (Educational Goals Extracted from Homepages of Pharmacy Schools in Korea)

  • Background: The current educational goals and missions of pharmacy schools in Korea were analyzed to examine the current orientation and future direction of pharmaceutical education. Methods: Educational mission statements were obtained from the homepages of 35 pharmacy schools and subjected to convert into codes. Themes and categories were induced using qualitative content-analysis from the codes and compared according to location of school (capital area versus province), public versus private, and date of initial enrollment (before versus in 2011). The themes and categories were compared with "the eight-star pharmacist" suggested by World Health Organization (WHO) and International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). Results: Twelve themes, 44 categories, and 496 codes were identified. Themes included pharmaceutical expertise, professionalism, contribution to society, basic educational ideology, sphere of activity, leadership, research, dealing with future change, problem-solving ability, self-management and development, cooperation, and respect for life. Mission statements of schools that initially enrolled in 2011 cited humankind level contribution (p=0.011), patient-centered care (p=0.026), and globalization (p=0.018) more frequently than those enrolled before 2011. Most schools mentioned about care-giver, researcher, and decision-maker which were stated in "the eight-star pharmacist". Conclusion: To meet the growing social requirements of a pharmacist's roles, wide-ranging active discussion on establishing educational goals should be made.

Psychosocial Risks: Is Risk Management Strategic Enough in Business and Policy Making?

  • Background: In times of continuous change and volatile markets, organizations are increasingly characterized by downsizing, work intensification, and resource rationalization. This has resulted in diversification, and the emergence of newrisks within the field of occupational health and safety, with an important impact. This paper focuses on one such type of risk in the modern workplace-psychosocial risks. The current study aimed to explore stakeholder perspectives, regarding the extent to which psychosocial risks are incorporated into strategic risk management practices, at both the business and policy level. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 professionals, representing employer, expert, policy maker, and trade union stakeholder perspectives. Results: It was found that the majority of organizations do not sufficiently, if at all, understand and incorporate psychosocial risks into strategic decision making, whereby the key barrier related to practical difficulties of not knowing how to manage psychosocial risks adequately. Conclusion: The study found that there is a need to close the gap between policy and practice on a number of levels. Future recommendations comprise a policy framework and infrastructure underpinned by educational initiatives, partnerships, and networks to drive a shift in attitudes toward recognizing the duality of the concept of risk (including both potential negative and positive outcomes) and moving beyond simple regulatory compliance.

자동차 부품업체의 생산성 향상을 위한 이업종 교류회에 관한 연구 (The Information Exchange Program To Improve the Productivity Different Section Of Automobile Parts Industries)

  • As social and economic environments rapidly change, all enterprises are struggling for the 21C. K company, a motor company, is building a new production system by one way of paradigm shift to get the competitive power in the market. This system includes concepts of the thinking shift from maker's view to consumers' view when it makes cars. Simultaneously, K company has been applying another new method 'Interchanges of Different Section of Industry' to make more competitive vendors since 1996. The old method, used until 1995, had worked well and gained lots of effects during the reform activities. But after the technical supervisors from K company had left almost everything went back to the starting point in the vendor company. The major causes of this phenomenon are that there were no ‘structure’ to maintain the reforming activities. We have confirmed that ‘Interchanges of Different Section of Industry’ is a good way to let this ‘structure’ exist continuously. After we compared and analyzed merits or demerits of this system through the experience of applying it to a vendor C, we have suggested more progressive method by strengthening the merits and removing the demerits.

Computer modelling of fire consequences on road critical infrastructure - tunnels

  • The proper functioning of critical points on transport infrastructure is decisive for the entire network. Tunnels and bridges certainly belong to the critical points of the surface transport network, both road and rail. Risk management should be a holistic and dynamic process throughout the entire life cycle. However, the level of risk is usually determined only during the design stage mainly due to the fact that it is a time-consuming and costly process. This paper presents a simplified quantitative risk analysis method that can be used any time during the decades of a tunnel's lifetime and can estimate the changing risks on a continuous basis and thus uncover hidden safety threats. The presented method is a decision support system for tunnel managers designed to preserve or even increase tunnel safety. The CAPITA method is a deterministic scenario-oriented risk analysis approach for assessment of mortality risks in road tunnels in case of the most dangerous situation - a fire. It is implemented through an advanced risk analysis CAPITA SW. Both, the method as well as the resulting software were developed by the authors' team. Unlike existing analyzes requiring specialized microsimulation tools for traffic flow, smoke propagation and evacuation modeling, the CAPITA contains comprehensive database with the results of thousands of simulations performed in advance for various combinations of variables. This approach significantly simplifies the overall complexity and thus enhances the usability of the resulting risk analysis. Additionally, it provides the decision makers with holistic view by providing not only on the expected risk but also on the risk's sensitivity to different variables. This allows the tunnel manager or another decision maker to estimate the primary change of risk whenever traffic conditions in the tunnel change and to see the dependencies to particular input variables.

메이커스페이스(Makerspaces)의 공간구성 요인과 혁신 간 관계에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Relationship Between the Factors of Spatial Composition and Innovation in Makerspaces)

  • 4차 산업혁명으로 통칭하는 변화의 소용돌이에서 우리나라는 추격형 경제구조에서 선도형 구조로 경제성장의 패러다임을 바꿔야 하는 국가적 과제를 안고 있다. 지속적인 경제발전 속도를 유지하기 위해서 정부와 기업뿐만 아니라 국가의 모든 자원이 혁신과 성장에 동참하여야 하는 시대가 왔으며, 주요 선진국들은 21세기에 접어들면서 다양한 정책과 제도로 구성원들의 혁신 활동을 자극하고 있다. 우리나라도 국민의 자발적인 혁신환경을 만들기 위해 메이커스페이스나 팹랩 등으로 지칭되는 개방형 창의공간 조성에 힘쓰고 있다. 본 연구는 국내에서 빠르게 성장하고 있는 메이커스페이스가 혁신(창업)공간으로 발전과 지속가능성 확보를 위해 고려해야 할 요인을 탐색하였다. 선행연구를 통해 메이커스페이스의 특징으로 개방성과 전문성을 도출하였으며, 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 메이커스페이스에 부족한 역량과 추후 확보해야 할 역량이 개방성과 전문성임을 확인하였다. 또한, 선행연구를 통해 개방성과 전문성의 세부 구성요인을 제시하고, 개방성 중심, 전문성 중심, 사업화 중심 등 대상별 메이커스페이스 별 시사점을 제시하였다.

우리나라 외항상선에 승선하는 외국인 선원 관리제도의 문제점 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Problems and Improvements of the Management System for Foreign Seafarers Boarding Korean Ocean-Going Vessels)

  • 이 연구는 우리나라 외항 상선에 승무하는 외국인 선원 관리제도의 현황을 고찰하고 제도상 문제점과 개선방안을 외국인 선원을 고용하고 있는 선주회사와 선박관리회사 그리고 선원관리회사, 관련 단체 대상으로 설문조사 결과를 분석하여 제시하였다. 그 결과로는 첫째 한국 선원과 같이 적용되는 외국인 선원 관련법 및 단체협약 등을 별도로 적용함이 필요하며, 둘째는 외국인 선원 고용정원의 의사결정 주체를 기존 선박소유자와 노동자 단체에서 선박소유자로 변경하거나 혹은 기존 의사결정 주체를 유지한다면 법률을 개정하여 명확히 하여야 하며 또한 외국인 선원 고용정원을 직책별 및 선종별로 지정할 필요가 있다. 셋째는 외국인 해기사 고용 시 선택의 폭을 확대하기 위하여 동유럽, 아시아 국가로의 해기 면허 인정협정을 확대하여야 하며, 넷째는 외국인 선원 고용 및 승선까지 복잡하고 불필요한 행정절차를 간소화하여야 한다. 다섯째는 외국인 선원과 관련된 회사 및 정부 기관, 협회 등 공동으로 외국인 선원에 대한 체계적인 양성체제 구축이 필요하다는 것이다. 동 연구를 통하여 우리나라 외항 상선에 승선하는 외국인 선원에 대한 더욱 효율적이고 체계적인 관리에 이바지할 수 있을 것이다.
