This study to find out the causes and degree of anxiety experienced by hospitalized patients, with the objective of instituting improvement of Nursing care program based on the needs of patients. The present study was carry out from July 1 , 1975 to October 10, 1975 with 168 patients random sampling from those admitted of Kyung Hee Medical Center. The Questionnaire form included 47 questions which are considered to be anxiety events for admitted patients and was divided into four areas namely, such events related to 1) hospital environment, 2) Psychology and emotion, 3) Nursing care and treatment, and 4 )Education. The results of the study were as follows : 1) Most of the respondents (70.09%) felt uneasy about their disease affected by the behaviors of medical personnel. 2) Regarding the correlation between anxiety felt by patients and their educational level. Only 9 sub- items of 47 items showed significant difference. 3) There was revealed no particular significance in the correlation between anxiety felt by patients and period of hospitalization. 4) Only 5 sub- items out of 47 items showed significant difference ill the correlation between anxiety felt by patients and previous experience of operation. 5) Only 3 sub-items out of 47 items showed signigicant difference in the correlation between anxiety felt day patients and previous experience of hospitalization. 6) Regarding the extent of anxiety felt by patients, "insufficient explanation about meals" showed the highest score followed. "The visit of physicians and Nurses to the patient is too frequent " showed the lowest score and "Nurses change too frequently the physical posture of patients" followed.

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine organizational change for a technological application of the fourth industrial revolution. The theoretical background of this study utilized organizational change management, the fourth industrial revolution, technological innovation, and voluntary acceptance. This research method used structural equations, cluster analysis, and analysis of variance. According to the results of the study, the organizational implement system, organizational leadership, and organizational operating system provided a positive effect on the voluntary technology acceptance of organization members. The voluntary technology acceptance provided a positive effect on the effectiveness of individual task innovation. However, organizational institutionalization among the independent variables did not affect voluntary acceptance. All independent variables except the organizational institutionalization had a partial mediating effect in the mediating effect verification. Meanwhile, The three groups by the cluster analysis were classified as new technology apathy, preference, and anxiety groups, and differences appeared among groups in the importance of organizational change variables. The organizational implement system in the technology apathy group and the organizational operating system in the technology anxiety group have a positive effect on voluntary technology acceptance. The technology preference group shows that a positive effect on organizational leadership and a negative effect on organizational institutionalization for voluntary technology acceptance. This study analyzed the technology application of the fourth industrial revolution in the organization based on the theory of organizational change. There has been reexamined the organizational change theory based on the new technology acceptance by the change of external environment in the fourth industrial revolution and the importance of technology innovation. As a practical implication, firms that are interested in a new technology of the fourth industrial revolution should prioritize preparing an implementation system when designing organizational changes.

Stress mindset is a perspective on stress that can change stress management and performance in stressful situations. In relation to stress mindset aspects, this study verified the impact of academic stress, future anxiety, and positive mental health as a way to improve the mental health of students with a positive stress mindset through an online social networking platform. Additionally, the effectiveness of resilience was demonstrated as a way to increase the effectiveness of stress mindset. In order to verify hypotheses, this study conducted a survey from 104 university students in Korea. The results indicated that stress mindset was directly related to academic stress. In addition, resilience had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between stress mindset and academic stress. However, since the effect was not found for future anxiety and positive mental health, the need to establish a new strategy was raised. The research has implications in suggesting ways for students to have a positive stress mindset and increase its effectiveness.
Mathematics anxiety is a term for emotional and physical resistance to mathematics. Understanding students' mathematics anxiety is important not only in terms of improving mathematics academic achievement, but also in nurturing mathematics manpower necessary for the future society. In particular, mathematics anxiety is most likely to occur in elementary school, and it has a negative effect on subsequent learning. Therefore, it is important to understand the aspects of students' mathematics anxiety in elementary school. In this study, I presented the patterns of changes in students' mathematics anxiety over time and statistically verified them. As a result of a follow-up survey of 249 elementary school students' mathematics anxiety for 3 years from 4th to 6th grade, it was found that, rather than having a special pattern related to the formation of math anxiety, it may increase and decrease and vary depending on individual confirmed. Later, in this study, five patterns of Mathematics anxiety patterns were identified through statistical analysis. In addition, I confirmed that the students' interest about teachers' mathematics lessons was consistently influencing the change in mathematics anxiety. The results of this study will increase students' understanding of the formation of mathematics anxiety and can be used as basic data for the development of teaching and learning materials related to mathematics anxiety in the future and subsequent research.
Object : Since autonomic nerve system dysfunction was known as the mechanism of panic disorder, many researchers used heart rate variability (HRV) as means of measuring autonomic nerve function of patients with panic disorder. We aimed to examine the effect of paroxetine medication for 3 months on symptom improvement and change of heart rate variability of the patients with panic disorder. Methods : The subjects were patients with panic disorder who visited the psychiatric outpatient clinic of Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. We included panic disorder patients who were aged from 20 to 50 and in normal BMI range (from 18 to 30) to minimize the effect of age and weight on HRV data. We excluded the patients with EKG abnormalities, hypertension or other major psychiatric disorders. They took 20-40 mg paroxetine medication a day for 3 months. Alprazolam was used only during the first month to control the acute panic symptoms and was tapered off after that. We measured the acute panic inventory (API), Hamilton rating scale for anxiety and depression (HAM-A & HAM-D), Spielberger state-trait anxiety inventory (STAIS, STAIT), and Beck depression inventory (BDI) in order to assess clinical improvement of the patients. And we measured time and frequency domain HRV in the resting, standing and cognitive stress states to assess the change of HRV. All measurements were done before and after paroxetine treatment. Result : After paroxetine medication, patients showed significant improvement in all psychiatric scales. In time domain of HRV, standard deviations of all R-R intervals (SDNN) were significantly increased in all states. In frequency domain of HRV, the ratio of high frequency to total power (HF/TP) in the standing state was significantly increased. Conclusion : After 3 months paroxetine medication, panic disorder patients showed significant clinical improvement and change in HRV data such as SDNN in all states and HF/TP ratio in the standing state. This result suggests that paroxetine medication is effective for the improvement of autonomic nerve system dysfunction in panic disorder patients.
As mobile distribution environment is changing rapidly and competition is more intensive in businesses today, technology based self service have been changed and developed. Among the change, financial institutes and consumers are interested in mobile banking services. This study attempted to investigate the impact of service convenience value on customer satisfaction and re-usage intention, and investigated the moderate effect of technology anxiety in the relationship between service convenience value and mobile banking service usage. For this study, data were gathered from respondents who have experience using mobile banking service and analyzed by structural equation model. A convenience value affected consumer satisfaction and re-usage intention toward mobile banking service. Also, this study found that the more technology anxiety, the less re-usage intention. The results show that management and investment to improve convenience value and to reduce technology anxiety make consumers' satisfaction and re-usage intention toward mobile banking service.

In this paper, we quantitatively evaluated the anxiety data from humans in an anxiety state. It has been reported that the electric signals of human can be correlated with their emotional state. We chose heart rate, respiration rate, temperature and skin conductance as the anxiety parameters. For experiment protocol, the subject was given exercising load to induce the anxiety state and the exercise was done using the FITRON Cycle Ergometer. We divided the data into three stages: rest period, exercise period, and recovery period. During evaluation, We counted the heart rate, slope of heart rate, temperature change, and the skin conductance.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of manual lymph drainage (MLD) on the activity of sympathetic nervous system, anxiety, pain and pressure pain threshold in subjects with psychological stress. Methods: Twenty-nine subjects with psychological stress were randomly assigned to experimental (MLD) and control (rest) groups. This study was performed as a controlled, randomized study using spectral analysis of electrocardiographic (ECG) activities, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Pressure Pain Threshold (PPT). Results: Heart rate variability differed significantly between the experimental and control groups (p<0.05). Anxiety and pain showed positive change in both group but it were not showed statically differences. The pressure pain threshold in the upper trapezius muscle was increased in the experimental group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings indicate that the application of MLD was effective in reducing the activity of the sympathetic nervous system, anxiety, pain, and increasing the PPT.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected college students who major in dental hygiene. This study provides basic data to develop a program for dental hygiene students to reduce test anxiety. Methods : 328 students from A college in Kyungnam, B college in Chunnam and C university in Chungnam who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the self-efficacy scale, attribution disposition and test anxiety scale in November and December. 2008. Total of 311 copies were analyzed. Using SPSS 15.0, correlation analysis was conducted and structural model was verified using AMOS 7.0. Evaluation of mediated effect of attribution disposition in suggested structural model was assessed using Sobel verification. Results : 1. Looking at the correlation among self-efficacy, attribution disposition and test anxiety. Self-efficacy had negative relation with external attribution disposition and test anxiety. External attribution disposition had positive relation with test anxiety. 2. Path coefficient from self-efficacy to internal attribution disposition was significant positively and path coefficient from self-efficacy to external attribution disposition was significant negatively. However, the path coefficient from self-efficacy to test anxiety was insignificant. 3. Path coefficient from external attribution disposition to self-efficacy was positively significant. However, the path coefficient from internal attribution disposition to self-efficacy was not significant statistically. 4. In structural model among attribution disposition, test anxiety and self-efficacy, indirect effect of external attribution dispositions was significant statistically. The students with higher self-efficacy showed lower external attribution disposition, the students with lower external attribution disposition showed lower test anxiety. Conclusions : To reduce test anxiety, educators should find a strategy that can improve students' self-efficacy and change their attribution disposition.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of music therapy on the state anxiety and the vital signs in ophthalmic inpatients experiencing momentary visual disturbance. The patients listened to the music for or over 30 minutes a time for 3 days The subjects for this study were twenty-eights experiencing momentary visual disturbance in ophthalmic department of a hospital in Kwangju. They were assigned to two groups, fourteen to a experimental group and fourteen to a control group. The data were collected from November 22 to December 4, 1999 by means of state anxiety scale questionnaire and measurement of vital signs. The data were analyzed with SPSS programs. The results were as follows; 1. There were significant differences between the two groups on anxiety score after music therapy(t=-2.95 p=.007). 2. The first hypothesis that the experimental group who received music therapy would have less anxiety score than the control group who did not receive music therapy was supported (t=8.98, p=.000). 3. There were no significant differences between the two groups on change of vital signs after music therapy. 4. The second hypothesis that the experimental group who received music therapy would have more relived vital signs than the control group who did not receive music therapy was not supported. In conclusion, music therapy can be effective nursing intervention in decreasing anxiety of ophthalmic in-patients experiencing momentary visual disturbance.
