Superoxide Dismutase와 Ascorbate Peroxidase가 엽록체내로 동시에 과대발현된 형질전환 담배의 제초제들에 대한 항산화 반응 (Antioxidative Responses of Transgenic Tobacco Plants Expressing both Superoxide Dismutase and Ascorbate Peroxidase in Chloroplasts to Several Herbicides)

  • Superoxide dismutase와 ascorbate peroxidase가 동시에 과대발현된 담배(CA)를 가지고 여러 제초제들에 대한 항산화 반응을 조사하였다. 온실조건 실험에서, CA 담배는 PSI 저해제로 알려진 paraquat처리에 대해서 내성이 인정되었고 그 정도는 40% 내외였다. PS II 저해제 (bromoxynil, diuron, bromacil), 엽록소 생합성 저해제 (oxyfluorfen), 카로티노이드 생합성 저해제 (fluridone)와 EPSP synthase 저해제 (glyphosate) 처리에서는 CA와 wild type간의 반응차이가 관찰되지 않았다. Paraquat와 diuron을 이용한 약광 조건의 실험에서도 온실조건의 실험결과와 유사한 정도로 paraquat처리에 대해서만 내성을 나타내었다. 온실조건에서의 엽위별 반응의 경우, 6 - 9 엽기 식물체에 paraquat를 처리하였을 때, 약제처리 당시 위로부터 3 - 4번째 전개되고 있었던 잎이 상대적으로 내성 정도가 높게 나타났다. 한편 paraquat 처리 시에 여러 농도의 ascorbic acid를 혼합할 경우, CA와 wild type 모두에서 비슷한 정도로 paraquat 활성을 경감시켰다. 결론적으로, CuZnSOD/APX의 과대발현은 photosystem I 에서 발생되는 산화스트레스에 대해서만 주로 작용하며, 다른 제초제들에 의해 발생되는 산화적 스트레스에 대해서는 소거 능력이 부족한 것으로 판단되었다.

해금 몸체의 음향학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Acoustic Characteristics of the Haegeum Body)

  • 본 논문은 한국의 전통 찰현(擦絃)악기인 해금의 음향학적 특성을 연구하는 과정의 첫 단계로서, 우선 무향실에서 해금 몸체의 전달함수를 충격응답 방법을 이용하여 측정하였다. 측정 결과로 얻은 전달함수로부터 해금 몸체의 주요 공진 특성들을 살펴보고, 각 공진점이 해금 몸체의 어느 부분과 각각 관계가 있는지를 알아내기 위해 복판의 클라드니 패턴 실험, 해금 몸체 내 공동(空洞, air cavity)의 음향학적 모델링을 통한 공진 주파수 계산 등의 과정을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 해금 몸체의 주요 공진 특성과 몸체 각 부분들 간의 상관 관계를 밝혀낼 수 있었다.

SD 기법을 활용한 주거단지의 시지각적 평가 (SD Methodological Evaluation of the Visual Cognition to the Urban Landscape)

  • The color and structure of urban constructions is a factor of urban landscape and shows their characteristics. Hence the modern buildings with their materials and external appearance makes up the urban image. But still yet, it was not easy to evaluate the value of visual landscape of buildings with objective measuring method. Most of all, it depends on the subjective estimation of a few talented or high educated experts with a sense of beauty. In relation to this kind of problems, it was tried here in this study to analyse the human response of brain wave pattern (EEG) with use of SD method, while the tested persons watched the urban landscape constructed in a visual reality. The tested persons were 10 adult males and females with no color blindness and intact cognitive function. Light source with color filter was used for color environment in chamber room. The signal of EEG is analysed digitally and grouped into the $\alpha$ and $\beta$ waves. The result showed that relative power of $\alpha$ wave ratio increased in natural landscape scenary clearly. From these results it was possible to evaluate the human response, which was affected by urban color and structure stimulation and it might be useful as an indicator of visual cognition amenity toward the design of urban construction environment.

온도 측정과 분석을 통한 40 mm 장축공동실린더의 열적특성 고찰 (Thermal Property Analysis of 40 mm Long Hollow Cylinders Though Measurements and Analysis of Transient Temperatures)

  • A simple and effective analysis method is presented for gaining a complete transient temperatures on the internal and external surfaces of a 40 mm gun tube subjected to a series of rapid firings. Two series of temperature data for both Hs and As were measured by using two rapid response k-type surface thermocouples near the firing origin and the muzzle. With other available temperature data, patterns of temperature variations of the gun tube as a function of time variable were driven through complete evaluations of the data. It is found that overall temperature gradients which increase exponentially toward saturation temperature, actually consist of a series of linear temperature gradients corresponding to the firing sequences. Under the similar firing sequences, patterns of temperature variations fur both the surface temperatures near the chamber and those near the muzzle were found to have linear temperature gradients with different values and the same response frequencies, i.e. they had peaks and lows in temperatures at the same time. The resultant complete temperature data can be used as the fundamental bases for analysis of thermoelastic properties of the materials such as thermal strain and stress, and f3r the prediction of cannon tube life-time through calculation of wear rate.

정관운동에 있어서 prostaglandin 의 역할에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Role of Prostaglandin in Contraction of Vas Deferens)

  • Prostaglandin(PG) is ubiquitously distributed in most mammalian tissue and their actions are complicated. Especially in autonomic nervous system, there are evidences indicating that PGs act as neuromodulators i.e., PGs, which are released in the vicinity of autonomic neuroeffector junctions, influence the release and the response of the neurotransmitter. Present study was undertaken to elucidate the interrelationship between $PGF_{2\alpha}$ and adrenergic ${\alpha}_2-receptor$ function in electrical field stimulation induced contractile response of vas deferens in rat. Male rat, weighing 150{\sim}200\;g, was sacrificed and vas deferens was obtained. The isolated vas deferens strip was placed between two platinum electrodes in temperature controlled $(37^{\circ}C)$ muscle chamber containing Tyrode's solution and the electrical field stimulation(EFS) induced contraction was recorded with Grass Polygraph(Model 7) via force displacement transducer (FT .03, Grass). The results are summarized as follows: 1) Electrical field stimulation for 1sec( 1 msec, 40 cps) induced contraction of vas deferens was completely blocked by tetrodotoxin. 2) Bretylium caused marked inhibition of the EFS-induced contraction, hut tyramine and cocaine augmented the contraction. 3) EFS-induced contraction was inhibited or little affected in distal portion of vas deferens by norepinephrine or methoxamine, but the contraction was rather augmented by the ${\alpha}-agonists$ in proximal portion. 4) Clonidine inhibited the EFS-induced contraction proportionally to the concentration in distal portion, which was blocked by yohimbine pretreatment, but in the presence of $PGF_{2\alpha}$ the blockade by yohimbine was reversed. 5) Indomethacin pretreatment reduced the effect of clonidine, but addition of $PGF_{2\alpha}$ after washing-out the indomethacin caused the contraction to the control level. From these results it is suggested that PG synthesis is a necessary step and the PG itself has a permissive role in ${\alpha}_2-adrenoceptor$ action in rat vas deferens.

The result showed that relative power of ${\alpha}$ wave ratio increased in the natural landscape scenery with blue and green color. From these results it was possible to evaluate the human response, which is affected by urban and natural color and structure stimulation and it might be useful as an indicator of visual cognition amenity toward the design of urban construction environment.

The Study on the Physiological Response in Wearing Sportswear in Two Different Environments

  • In this study, to find out the physiological reaction of the human body and the sensation of comfort when people are wearing sportswear which is made of waterproof breathable fabrics under general environmental conditions (temperature : $20{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, humidity : $60{\pm}5%RH$, air current : 0.1 m/sec) and rainy environmental conditions (temperature : $20{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, humidity : $60{\pm}5%RH$, air current : 0.1 m/sec, rainfall : 250 1/hr), we made an experiment with sportswear in an artificial climate chamber and studied the thermal physiological response and subjective sensation. Mean skin temperature of the subjects was low and had a big range of fluctuation in rainy environmental conditions of two condition. Temperature started to increase at the beginning of the exercise, reached the maximum at the 2nd level of the exercise and then started to decline. Rectal temperature showed a slighter increase and bigger range of fluctuation in general conditions than in rainy conditions. Except clothing micro climate in rainy conditions, temperature and humidity and their range of fluctuation around back were higher than those around chest. Humidity was high and had wide range of fluctuation in general conditions. Heart rate was 4.4 beats/min higher in general conditions. In subjective test on rainy conditions, the feeling of discomfort increased due to the raindrops fallen on the skin. Unlike that in general conditions, cold sensation increased and humidity sensation reached to the peak after the exercise. In wearing sportswear made of shape memory breathable waterproof fabric, controlling function over a small amount of heat and water was distinctive while it turned out to be not so comfortable over a large amount of heat and water. Through this, the limitation of shape memory breathable waterproof fabric was recognised.

  • 연소 불안정 현상은 연료의 응답 함수, 연소율, 국부 연료 표면의 유동 속도에 영향을 미치기 때문에 고체로켓 모터 설계 시 성능이나 구조적 안정성을 다루는 측면에서 매우 중요한 부분이다. 연소 불안정 현상은 음향 모드가 연소/유동과정에서 발생하는 진동수와 결합(coupled)되었을 때 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 파동방정식으로부터 음향 비선형 불안정 모델을 유도하여 실린더형 고체로켓 모터의 연소 불안정 현상을 분석하였다. 또한 고체로켓 모터 연소실 압력, 연소 속도가 연소 불안정에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다.

통계적 실험 방법에 의한 Ta 박막의 증착 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Sputtered Ta films by Statistical Method)

  • 통계적 방법을 사용하여 스퍼터 증착한 Ta 박막의 증착속도, 비저항, 면저항 균일도, 반사도, 응력 등의 물성을 측정하고 분석하였다. RS/1의 표면 반응 분석법에 의해 독립변수와 종속변수간의 함수관계를 예측하였으며. 이때 비저항과 면저항의 균일도 측면에서 최적조건은 증착 압력 2 mTorr, 증착 전력 8 W/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 및 기판온도 $20^{\circ}C$였다. 실험 모텔의 신뢰성 (fitness)은 풀링(pooling)하지 않은 경우 0.85 ~0.9의 값을 얻었다. 본 조건하에서 증착된 박막은 비저항 180$\mu$$\Omega$cm와 면저항 균일도 ~ 2%의 값을 가졌다. 투과전자 현미경과 X선 회절법을 이용하여 분석한 결과 증착된 박막은 100~200 정도의 결정립 크기를 갖는 $\beta$-Ta 임을 확인하였다.

Linear Energy Transfer Dependence Correction of Spread-Out Bragg Peak Measured by EBT3 Film for Dynamically Scanned Proton Beams

  • Purpose: Gafchromic films for proton dosimetry are dependent on linear energy transfers (LETs), resulting in dose underestimation for high LETs. Despite efforts to resolve this problem for single-energy beams, there remains a need to do so for multi-energy beams. Here, a bimolecular reaction model was applied to correct the under-response of spread-out Bragg peaks (SOBPs). Methods: For depth-dose measurements, a Gafchromic EBT3 film was positioned in water perpendicular to the ground. The gantry was rotated at 15° to avoid disturbances in the beam path. A set of films was exposed to a uniformly scanned 112-MeV pristine proton beam with six different dose intensities, ranging from 0.373 to 4.865 Gy, at a 2-cm depth. Another set of films was irradiated with SOBPs with maximum energies of 110, 150, and 190 MeV having modulation widths of 5.39, 4.27, and 5.34 cm, respectively. The correction function was obtained using 150.8-MeV SOBP data. The LET of the SOBP was then analytically calculated. Finally, the model was validated for a uniform cubic dose distribution and compared with multilayered ionization chamber data. Results: The dose error in the plateau region was within 4% when normalized with the maximum dose. The discrepancy of the range was <1 mm for all measured energies. The highest errors occurred at 70 MeV owing to the steep gradient with the narrowest Bragg peak. Conclusions: With bimolecular model-based correction, an EBT3 film can be used to accurately verify the depth dose of scanned proton beams and could potentially be used to evaluate the depth-dose distribution for patient plans.
