  • Recent studies on change detection for RDF data are focused on not only the structural difference but also the semantic-aware difference by computing the closure of RDF models. However, since these techniques which take into account the semantics of RDF model require both RDF models to be memory resident, or they use a forward-chaining strategy which computes the entire closure in advance, it is not efficient to apply them directly to detect changes in large RDF data. In this paper, we propose a scalable change detection technique for RDF data, which uses a backward-chaining inference based on relational database. Proposed method uses a new approach for RDF reasoning that computes only the relevant part of the closure for change detection in a relational database. We show that our method clearly outperforms the previous works through experiment using the real RDF from the bioinformatics domain.

  • Network virtualization refers to a technology creating independent virtual network environment on a physical network. Network virtualization technology can share the physical network resources to reduce the cost of establishing the network for each user and enables the network administrator to dynamically change the network configuration according to the purpose. Although the network management can be handled dynamically, the management is manual, and it does not maximize the profit of network virtualization. In this paper, we propose Machine-Learning technology to allow the network to learn by itself and manage its management dynamically. The proposed approach is to dynamically allocate appropriate resources by predicting resource demand of VNF in service function chaining, which is a core and essential problem in virtual network management. Our goal is to predict the resource demand of the VNF and dynamically allocate the appropriate resources to reduce the cost of network operation while preventing service interruption.

  • Inference engine that performs the brain of software agent in next generation's web with various standards based on standard language of the web, XML has to understand SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language) that is a language to express the rule in the Semantic Web. In this research, we want to develop a forward inference engine, SMART-F (SeMantic web Agent Reasoning Tools-Forward chaining inference engine) that uses SWRL as a rule express method, and OWL as a fact express method. In the traditional inference field, the Rete algorithm that improves effectiveness of forward rule inference by converting if-then rules to network structure is often used for forward inference. To apply this to the Semantic Web, we analyze the required functions for the SWRL-based forward inference, and design the forward inference algorithm that reflects required functions of next generation's Semantic Web deducted by Rete algorithm. And then, to secure each platform's independence and portability in the ubiquitous environment and overcome the gap of performance, we developed management tool of fact and rule base and forward inference engine. This is compatible with fact and rule base of SMART-B that was developed. So, this maximizes a practical use of knowledge in the next generation's Web environment.

  • Service Function Chaining (SFC) supports services through linking an ordered list of functions. There may be multiple instances of the same function, which provides a challenge to select available instances for all the functions in an SFC and generate a specific Service Function Path (SFP). Aiming to solve the problem of SFP selection, we propose an architecture consisting of distributed SFP algorithm and central control mechanism. Nodes generate distributed routings based on the first function and destination node in each service request. Controller supervises all of the distributed routing tables and modifies paths as required. The architecture is scalable, robust and quickly reacts to failures because of distributed routings. Besides, it enables centralized and direct control of the forwarding behavior with the help of central control mechanism. Simulation results show that distributed routing tables can generate efficient SFP and the average cost is acceptable. Compared with other algorithms, our design has a good performance on average cost of paths and load balancing, and the response delay to service requests is much lower.

  • This paper introduces how we have designed and implemented an efficient starting line-up system of professional baseball players, using the forward chaining technology which is an expert system technology. The knowledge base adopted holds 286 players and 148 evaluation Items. Each player's competitiveness is measured as a numerical value in points through 2 different phases. The 1st phase point represents the static information of the target player and the 2nd his dynamic information. This paper gets a representative value of the player, which is used as the basis on which an efficient line-up system in views of both game environments and counterparts is constructed.

  • RDF is widely used as the ontology language for representing metadata on the semantic web. Since ontology models the real-world, ontology changes overtime. Thus, it is very important to detect and analyze changes in knowledge base system. Earlier studies on detecting changes between RDF models focused on the structural differences. Some techniques which reduce the size of the delta by considering the RDFS entailment rules have been introduced. However, inferencing with RDF models increases data size and upload time. In this paper, we propose a new change detection using RDF reasoning that only computes a small part of the implied triples using backward chaining strategy. We show that our approach efficiently detects changes through experiments with real-life RDF datasets.

  • In this paper, we propose a Load Balance System for SFC based on DLP solution. SFC based on DLP solution does not distribute to the user data and each DLP server manages all traffic generated by the user device. When using existing algorithms such as the Load Balance Round Robin, Least Connection does not consider the resource usage of DLP server so traffic is not efficiently distributed due to different user traffic usage. It causes system failure and overload of the DLP server. Therefore, we propose the architecture of a Load Balance system for SFC based on DLP solution to perform the Load Balance based on the resource usage of DLP server through a LBM server in this paper.

  • In this paper, we described the export system to monitor and diagnose 765KV power apparatus. To develop this expert system, we studied the knowledge bases and data bases for 765KV transformer and GIS. In order to make the reliable inference of knowledge base and the good MMI(Man Machine Interface), the data bases were consisted of the tables of power apparatus information, limit level value, measured input data, inference result and diagnosis result. The knowledge base had various rules to infer the conditions of transformer and GIS. We applied both the forward chaining and backward chaining methods to these rules of system for good inferences. This paper describes the applied methods for expert system. Also, this developed system was tested with dissolved gas analyzing result and the result was shown.

  • FDS (Franchise Distributed System) which can efficiently control and manage the resources like food, liquid and services is required in many distributed system related areas like SCM (Supply Chaining Management) and ECR (Efficient Consumer Response). But, established system, such as used PC and Internet or CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) that need other equipment and expenses. And these have many problems, as voices record or recognition, not spreaded. To solve those problems, we design and implemented Web Card Checker for Franchise Distribution. Our system used card checker machine, not make additions, which can order raw materials like SCM as well as managed distributed processes.

이를 위한 기초 작업의 일환으로 OWL(Web Ontology Language)과 RuleML(Rule Markup Language)이 W3C에 제안된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 SWRL을 규칙 표현 방법으로 사용하고, OWL을 사실 표현 방법으로 사용하는 역방향 추론엔진인 SMART-B(SeMantic web Agent Reasoning Tools - Backward chaining inference engine)을 개발하고자 한다.
