Objectives: Therapeutic effect of Yinyang Balancing Appliance of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in cervical dystonia cases. Methods: Two cervical dystonia cases were managed with the Yinyang Balancing Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures and clinical observations. Results: The patients showed positive changes even after the initial treatment and this effect maintained over the follow-up period. Conclusions: Although it is not clear the effect is a sustaining or temporary in its nature, a positive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.

Four cases of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) were reviewed to see whether any improvement is observed in the X-ray images of open-mouth view and cephalocervical views. Intraoral appliances of TMJ balancing appliance (TBA) and cervical balancing appliance (CBA) and active movement of within range-of-movement of the jaw and the neck were applied to each patient. Improved balance of $2^{nd}$ cervical vertebra position and cervical alignment were observed in all the four cases.

This case is witten for presenting the effect of the TMJ balancing therapy using the TMJ balancing appliance which normalizes the yin and yang balance of the brain-nervous system including the Meridian system. The balancing appliance was used in patient with cervical dystonia, and clinical outcome measurements were performed through clinical observations in specific movement and actions. The patient displayed positive changes after the treatment and the effect was well-maintained during the treatment period. For the more precise evaluation, clinical and biological studies of temporomandibular balancing therapy (TBT) are needed.

It was observed that the effectiveness of Yin-yang balancing therapy of the tempromandibular joint (YBT) or functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCS) in three cases: an acute and a chronic motor tic disorder and a Tourrette's disorder (TD). These three cases were mainly managed with cervical balancing appliance for the Yin-yang Balancing on tempromandibular joint (TMJ) and pelvic balance therapy. They were treated concurrently with acupuncture, cupping and herb-medicine. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures with visual analogue scale (VAS), Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTTS) and clinical observations for 235, 279 and 273 days respectively. The patient showed positive changes after the treatment and this effect maintained over the follow-up period. Although it is not clear whether the effect is sustained afterwards or not, a positive effect on the motor tic disorders and TD was observed. And so, furthermore strict clinical and structural researches for verification on YBT is expected.

To investigate the effects of the postural balance of TMJ using intraoral balancing appliance of functional cerebrospinal technique (FCST) combined acupuncture and manual medicine therapeutics in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis. An idiopathic cervical dystonia case was managed with postural training with intraoral balancing appliance, combined with acupuncture and manual medicine therapeutics. Clinical assessment included radiography, Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale, and global clinical impression. Clinical improvement was observed over 5 months of treatment period. Clinical observational data on spasmodic torticollis provide an positive prospective for further investigation on the effect of FCST.

Objectives: This case is to report the effect of TMJ balancing therapy (TBT) and combined Korean Medicine (CKM) on a 15-year-old male patient with suspected cervical dizziness of unknown causes. Methods: He was treated with TBT and CKM included Yin-yang Balancing Therapy of TMJ, pelvic balancing therapy, cervical chuna therapy once a week for 3 months. He continued to wear accurate balancing appliance (ABA) in the mouth, did 12-way cervical gravity straightening exercise and took banhabakchulchunma-tang-gamibang for 3 months. The effects of treatment was evaluated using the numerical rating scale (NRS). Results: After the treatments, dizziness was relieved from NRS 7 to NRS 1. Conclusions: This case report suggests that TBT and CKM treatments can relieve suspected cervical dizziness of unknown causes.

We investigated the potential of electromyography (EMG) for diagnosing imbalance in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to apply functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST). The electromyography signals were measured in the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) in patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD) while a FCST specialist conducted a restricted cervical rotation test. In addition, we also observed the changes in the electromyography signals according to pre-treatment or treatment with a TMJ balancing appliance (TBA), a customized TMJ balancing appliance (CBA), or a CBA with one paper bar. The right SCMs of the two patients with right TMJ imbalance had high EMG signals in the right cervical rotation test, while the left SCMs showed low EMG signals in the left rotation. In addition, the high EMG signals in the right SCMs decreased when using the TBA or the CBA, but the EMG signals of the left SCMs showed low EMG values during the treatments. Furthermore, the EMG signals of the right SCMs rose again after artificial imbalance of the right TMJ by the CBA with one paper bar. This case report demonstrated the potential of EMG as an objective diagnostic method for FCST.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to report the effect of Postural Yinyang Correction of the Temporomandibular joint (Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy, FCST) for phantogeusia. Methods: A patient with phantogeusia was treated at the Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, Dong-Eui University Korean Medicine Hospital from Oct 10th, 2018 to Dec 4th, 2018. A patient received 24 times of FCST with Customized TMJ Balancing Intraoral Appliance, upper cervical manipulation. To estimate the efficacy, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) and questionnaire. Results: The patient showed a certain degree of improvement in phantogeusia and other subject symtoms within 8 weeks. Adverse effects were not reported. Conclusions: These results showed that FCST using an Customized TMJ Balancing Intraoral Appliance, may be useful for reducing the symptoms of phantogeusia.

The purpose of this study is to describe the effects of temporomandibular joint balancing therapy on a patient with a spinal accessory neuropathy. A patient reported sternocleidomastoid muscle and trapezius muscle weakness after self-massage. The patient was instructed to wear the Accurate Balancing Appliance (ABA) for at least 8 hours per day and maintain an upright posture. The patient received cervical spine manipulation on day 2, 4, and 6. The patient's progress was tracked based on the angle at which the head turned to the right from the midline when she lifted her head while lying down, as well as the muscle strength and pain in the right trapezius muscle. The patient recovered spontaneously after 7 days. The ABA and cervical spine manipulation assisted the patient in reducing fatigue and discomfort during daily activities.

It was observed in the Subfertility Cases that Customized yinyang Balance Appliance (CBA) and Balancing Upper Cervical Alignment Technique of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance are theraputic. Four Subfertility cases were managed with the CBA, combined with acupuncture and herb-medicine. The other cases were managed with the Balacing Upper Cervical Alignment Technique, combined with acupuncture and herb-medicine. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures and clinical observations. Patients showed positive changes in subjective symptoms after the treatment and these effects maintained over the follow-up period. And each patient gave a birth to a male/female child. Further clinical and biological research with FCST therapy on hormone-related disordres is expected.
