  • In this study, finite element analyses were performed by applying a stress ring and split die design to relieve the tensile stress acting on the die due to high surface pressure during warm-closed forging. The applied material was a yield-ratio-control-steel (YRCS). It was used without quenching or tempering after forging. In the case of stress rings design, the number of stress rings and the tolerance for shrink fit were different. Vertical and horizontal splits were applied for insert die split design. Case 5 die with three stress rings, 0.2 % shrink fit tolerance, and vertical split was selected as an effective die design for tensile stress reduction. Based on die stress reduction analyses, Case 5 die for warm-closed forging was produced and smooth forgeability was secured, making it possible to manufacture forging product of yoke with the required geometry. In addition, controlled cooling using warm forging heat was applied to secure mechanical properties of yokes. When oil cooling was used for direct controlled cooling after warm-closed forging, a relatively uniform Rockwell hardness distribution and high mechanical properties could be obtained.

  • This study of bimodal integration management system in conjunction with the tram and the tram cars bimodal integrated management system that occupies a part of the system to perform its role as a bimodal tram vehicle configuration, a device for the vehicle's infrastructure ryureul development and it is aimed to build on the vehicle. Bimodal tram vehicle infrastructure systems, internal and external information of the larger vehicles, and vehicles used to collect information for its own part and the integrated operations management center, or providing partial information from the station and collect/provide for the transfer of information to the communication part consists In this study, the core of these devices, the configuration of the vehicle infrastructure systems for the overall management and control of vehicles operating a computer's central processing device, vehicle infrastructure systems that make it manages and stores all jangchiryu Integrated Operations Management Center is reporting. In addition, seamless integration with operational management center for interactive communication in a vehicle mounted communications devices to maintain the best condition to manage. Current general traffic management system in a similar terminal device being used, but bimodal tram vehicles operating the computer of the vehicle operates the infrastructure to configure the devices around the one to configure the system in terms of step enhanced the active type, the operating terminal unit of inter active type. In this study, considering the future alignment of the accounting fee system, the expansion of the system reliability and stability around the activities that are underway.

  • The increasing of power and processing speed and miniaturization of central processor unit (CPU) used in electronics equipment requires better performing thermal management systems. A typical thermal management package consists of thermal interfaces, heat dissipaters, and external cooling systems. There have been a number of experimental techniques and procedures for estimating thermal conductivity of thin, compressible thermal interface material (TIM). The TIM performance is affected by many factors and thus TIM should be evaluated under specified application conditions. In compact packaging of electronic equipment the chip is interfaced with a thin heat spreader. As the package is made thinner, the coupling between heat flow through TIM and that in the heat spreader becomes stronger. Thus, a TIM characterization system for considering the heat spreader effect is proposed and demonstrated in detail in this paper. The TIM test apparatus developed based on ASTM D-5470 standard for thermal interface resistance measurement of high performance TIM, including the precise measurement of changes in in-situ materials thickness. Thermal impedances are measured and compared for different directions of heat dissipation. The measurement of the TIM under the practical conditions can thus be used as the thermal criteria for the TIM selection.

  • In recent years, since the continuing increase in the capacity in personal computer such as the optimal performance, high quality and high resolution image, the computer system's components produce large amounts of heat during operation. This study analyzes and investigates the ability and efficiency of a cooling system inside a computer by means of central processing unit (CPU) and power supply cooling fan. This research was conducted to enhancement of efficiency of the cooling system inside the computer by making a structure which produces different air pressures in an air inflow tube. Consequently, when temperatures of the CPU and room inside computer were compared with a general personal computer, temperatures of the tested CPU, the room and the heat sink were as low as $5^{\circ}C$, $2.5^{\circ}C$ and $7^{\circ}C$ respectively. In addition to, revolution per minute (RPM) was shown as low as 250 after 1 hour operation. This research explored the possibility of enhancing the effective cooling of high-performance computer systems.

  • 최근 핵심어 검출 시스템은 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크의 UI(User Interface) 기술로써 각광받고 있다. 핵심어 검출 시스템은 TV, 라디오, 떠드는 소리 등과 같은 동적 생활 잡음에 매우 취약하다. 특히, 실제 임베디드 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 환경에서는 상대적으로 CPU(Central Processing Unit) 연산능력이 떨어지므로, 실시간으로 입력되는 음성을 인식하기가 어려워 인식율은 급격히 하락하게 된다. 본 논문은 임베디드 DSP 환경에서 원활한 연속음성인식을 수행하기 위하여 '나래야', '홈매니저'등과 같은 호출명령어를 선정하고 잡음을 포함한 묵음구간과 호출명령어로 구성된 최소의 인식네트워크를 토큰으로 구성하여 입력된 음성에 대해 실시간 음성인식을 계속적으로 수행한다.

  • 일반적으로 MPSoC(Multi-Processor System on a Chip)의 설계 및 구현을 위한 비용이 높고 시간이 오래 걸리며 복잡하기 때문에 이를 위한 IP(Intellectual Property)의 기능 및 성능을 검증하기 위해서는 플랫폼을 이용하여 테스트한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티 프로세서에서 CPU(Central Processing Unit) 간의 Interconnect Network 구조를 기반으로 하는 IP를 검증하기 위한 플랫폼 구조를 연구하고, 이를 바탕으로 응용 프로그램을 수행하였을 경우에 단일 프로세서를 사용했을 때보다 얼마나 많이 성능이 향상될 수 있는지를 보이고자 한다.

Comparison of Artificial Neural Networks for Low-Power ECG-Classification System

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) classification has become an essential task of modern day wearable devices, and can be used to detect cardiovascular diseases. State-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based ECG classifiers have been designed using various artificial neural networks (ANNs). Despite their high accuracy, ANNs require significant computational resources and power. Herein, three different ANNs have been compared: multilayer perceptron (MLP), convolutional neural network (CNN), and spiking neural network (SNN) only for the ECG classification. The ANN model has been developed in Python and Theano, trained on a central processing unit (CPU) platform, and deployed on a PYNQ-Z2 FPGA board to validate the model using a Jupyter notebook. Meanwhile, the hardware accelerator is designed with Overlay, which is a hardware library on PYNQ. For classification, the MIT-BIH dataset obtained from the Physionet library is used. The resulting ANN system can accurately classify four ECG types: normal, atrial premature contraction, left bundle branch block, and premature ventricular contraction. The performance of the ECG classifier models is evaluated based on accuracy and power. Among the three AI algorithms, the SNN requires the lowest power consumption of 0.226 W on-chip, followed by MLP (1.677 W), and CNN (2.266 W). However, the highest accuracy is achieved by the CNN (95%), followed by MLP (76%) and SNN (90%).

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 및 통신분야의 급속한 기술발전으로 마이크로세서의 성능향상과 제어용 LAN(Local Area Network)이 실용화됨으로 시스템 구축에 대한 유연성이 높아져 중앙처리장치(CPU)를 기능별로 분리하고 LAN 통신선로(Dataway)를 이용하여 프로세스의 제어기능은 분산시키고, 정보처리 및 감시와 운전조작기능은 집중화시켜 전체시스템을 구성하므로 신뢰성 향상을 도모하는 분산제어시스템의 개발배경과 적용과정 그리고 제철, 전력, 환경, 수 처리, 석유화학 등의 산업현장에서 다방면에 적용 및 응용되고 있는 분산제어시스템을 고찰하여 보고 향후 분산제어시스템의 발전방향까지 살펴보았다.

  • A가 nxn 삼중대각행렬인 선형방정식 Ax=b를 WZ분해 알고리즘을 이용하여 해석하고 이 알고리즘을 CAM Systolic Array 로 구현했다. 그리고 이 어레이를 평가하기위하여 LU분해 알고리즘을 제시하고 이를 W, D, Z분해 알고리즘과 비교 고찰한 결과 LU분해 알고리즘 보다 WZ분해 알고리즘이 1/4정도 가까운 시간으로 실행시간이 단축될 수 있었다. CAM Systolic Array에서 실행되는 각 단계를 1 time stpe으로 가정하면 2n+1 times이 필요하고 CAM의 데이타 워드는 메트릭스 원소의 값과 행번호, 연산의 형태 및 상태에 관한 정보를 포함하고 pipeline식으로 각 프로세서를 systolic processing하므로서 중앙제어가 필요없고, data brodcasting도 피할 수 있다.

단기통 모터사이클 엔진 제어용 ECU에 관한 연구 (A Study on the ECU for Controlling One Cylinder Motorcycle Engine)

  • The most typical fuel control devices of motorcycle engines have carburetors, they are simple in structure and reliable in work. Most of the motorcycle engines have used carburetors in the fuel system, but the fuel economy and the emissions of those engines are bad when we compared with automobile engines. According to stricter emission regulations and higher requirements for fuel economy, the application of the carburetor on the motorcycle engines would be limited. In this paper, we studied about the ECU of motorcycle engine controled by indirect method. A new engine system was designed and experiments were carried out. The experimental results for both carburetor type and ECU type were compared. Maximum torque of $1.053kg{\cdot}m$ at 6500rpm was measured. The engine torque controled using ECU was increased by $10\%$ compared with the carburetor type.
