Many studies have been implemented to manage solar plant being supplied widely in recent years. This study analyzed heat emission of solar cell using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-based thermal infrared sensor, and major conclusions are as belows. Firstly, orthomosaic image and digital surface model(DSM) data were acquired using UAV-based RGB sensor, and solar light module layer necessary to analyze the heat emission of solar cell was constructed by these data. Also as a result of horizontal error into validation points using virtual reference service(VRS) survey for evaluating the location accuracy of solar light module layer, higher location accuracy could be acquired like standard error of $dx={\pm}2.4cm$ and $dy={\pm}3.2cm$. And this study installed rubber patch to test the heat emission of solar cell and could analyzed efficiently the location of rubber patch being emitted heat using UAV-based thermal infrared sensor. Also standard error showd as ${\pm}3.5%$ in analysis between calculated cell ratio by rubber patch and analyzed cell ratio by UAV-based thermal infrared sensor. Therefore, it could be efficiently analyzed to heat emission of solar cell using UAV-based thermal infrared sensor. Also efficient maintenance of solar plant could be possible through extracting the code of solar light module being emitted of heat automatically.

In this paper, we investigate the properties of CoGe thin film-based galvanic cells as a function of their dimension (cell length, width, etc.) and show their application as sensors to Arduino-based IoT sensor networks to detect water contact. Because these CoGe thin film-based galvanic cells do not require mechanical strains or temperature gradients unlike piezoelectric and thermoelectric energy harvesters, we think that these thin film-based galvanic cells are more suitable for self-powered sensor networks demanding sustainable and robust energy harvesters. In the past, a sputter-deposited CoGe thin film has not been intensively investigated for energy harvesting appilcations. Thus, in this study, we perform a feasibility study of galvanic cells composed of a sputter-deposited CoGe thin film to see if they can be applied as potential self-powered sensors. We believe that this paper will be of great help in developing even more enhanced sensor networks.
In this paper, the usability of a compact silicon strain gauge load cell in a weighting disdrometer for measuring the impact load of a falling raindrop is introduced for application in a multi-meteorological sensor. The silicon strain gauge load cell is based on the piezoresistive effect, which has a high linearity output from the momentum of the raindrop and the simplicity of signal processing. The weighting disdrometer shows a high sensitivity of 7.8 mV/g in static load measurement when the diaphragm thickness of the load cell is $250{\mu}m$.

In this study, an effective model-based sensor fault detection methodology that can detect and isolate PEM temperature sensors fault is introduced. In fuel cell vehicle operation process, the stack temperature affects durability of a fuel cell. Thus, it is important for fault algorithm to detect the fault signals. The major objective of sensor fault detection is to guarantee the healthy operations of the fuel cell system and to prevent the stack from high temperature and low temperature. For the residual implementation, parity equation based on the state space is used to detect the sensors fault as stack temperature and coolant inlet temperature, and residual is compared with the healthy temperature signals. Then the residuals are evaluated by various fault scenarios that detect the presence of the sensor fault. In the result, the designed in this study fault algorithm can detect the fault signal.
In this study a biosensor was developed by using Drosophila cells expressing a gustatory receptor Gr5a and an ion sensitive field effect transistors (ISFETs) sensor device, which demonstrated significant compatibility with the Drosophila cells expressing Gr5a and their response to sugar. These results suggested that the newly developed cell based biosensor has a potential as a simple and easy screening device for Alzheimer's disease in the future.
We propose a specific ubiquitous sensor network (USN) architecture as a promising candidate of the future telemedicine model which offers the patient's mobility and more cost-efficient medical care system. This new USN architecture is a kind of cell-based secure sensor network supporting encrypted multi-casting communications and it has a hybrid routing protocol by adapting flat routing to hierarchical routing. For the patient's privacy and the protection of patient's vital information from eavesdropping, we adopt a lightweight PKI-based secure communication protocol with some formal presentation on its core procedure.
A cell-based in vitro exposure system was developed to determine whether oxidative stress plays a role in the cytotoxic effects of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene, toluene, xylene, and chlorobenzene, using human epithelial HeLa cells. Thin films based on cysteine-terminated synthetic oligopeptides were fabricated for immobilization of the HeLa cells on a gold (Au) substrate. In addition, an immobilized cell-based sensor was applied to the electrochemical detection of the VOCs. Layer formation and immobilization of the cells were investigated with surface plasmon resonance (SPR), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The adhered living cells were exposed to VOCs; this caused a change in the SPR angle and the VOC-specific electrochemical signal. In addition, VOC toxicity was found to correlate with the degree of nitric oxide (NO) generation and EIS. The primary reason for the marked increase in impedance was the change of aqueous electrolyte composition as a result of cell responses. The p53 and NF-${\kappa}B $ downregulation were closely related to the magnitude of growth inhibition associated with increasing concentrations of each VOC. Therefore, the proposed cell immobilization method, using a self-assembly technique and VOC-specific electrochemical signals, can be applied to construct a cell microarray for onsite VOC monitoring.
The most of important thing when we design a Wireless Sensor Network is resources. You have to consider energy efficient operation When you design Wireless Sensor Network. Because Sensor devices have a limited resources. In this paper, we proposed energy efficiency localization technique in Wireless Sensor Network. We used Cell ID technique for location search. This method can reduce power consumption and the network life time will be extension.
The load cell is a force sensor and a transducer that is used to convert a physical force into a electrical signal for weighing equipment. Most conventional load cells are widely used a metal foil strain gauge for sensing element when force being applied spring element in order to converts the deformation to electrical signals. The sensitivity of a load cell is limited by its low gauge factor, hysteresis and creep. But silicon-based sensors perform with higher reliability. This paper presents the basic design and development of the silicon type load cell with an SUS630 diaphragm. The load cell consists of two parts the silicon strain gauge and the SUS630 structure with diaphragm. Structure analysis of load cell was researched by theory to optimize the load cell diaphragm design and to determine the position of peizoresistors on a silicon strain gauge. The piezo-resistors are integrated in the four points of silicon strain gauge processed by ion implantation. The thickness of the silicon strain gauge was polished by CMP under 100 ${\mu}M$. The 10 mm diameter SUS630 diaphragm was designed for loads up to 10 kg with 300 ${\mu}M$ of diaphragm thickness. The load cell was successfully tested, the variation of ${\Delta}$R(%) of four points on the silicon strain gauge is good linearity properties and sensitivity.
In this paper, we propose a hybrid MAC architecture for reducing energy consumption and maximizing network lifetime in wireless sensor networks. For this purpose, the hybrid MAC architecture is proposed for energy efficient by combining inter-cell TDMA and intra-cell CSMA scheme. Based on the ns-2 simulation result, we prove that the proposed architecture improves energy efficiency as compared with CSMA and TDMA.
