이기종 이동통신 네트워크에서 에너지 효율화를 위한 DNN 기반 동적 셀 선택과 송신 전력 할당 기법 (DNN-Based Dynamic Cell Selection and Transmit Power Allocation Scheme for Energy Efficiency Heterogeneous Mobile Communication Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 하나의 매크로 기지국과 다수의 소형 기지국들로 구성된 이기종 네트워크를 고려하고, 그 기지국들간 협력적 다중 포인트 전송을 가정한다. 또한, 기지국과 단말간 채널은 경로 손실과 레일레이 페이딩으로 구성된다고 가정한다. 이러한 가정에서 주어진 기지국에 대해 단말이 달성할 수 있는 에너지 효율을 제시하고, 이기종 네트워크의 총 에너지 효율을 최대화하기 위한 동적 셀 선택과 송신 전력 할당의 최적화 문제를 공식화한다. 본 논문에서는 최적화 문제를 해결하기 위하여 비지도 딥러닝 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 딥러닝 기법은 기존의 반복적 수렴 방식의 기법들에 비해서 낮은 복잡도를 갖는 동시에 높은 에너지 효율을 제공하는 것이 가능하다. 시뮬레이션을 통해서 제안된 동적 셀 선택 기법이 최대 신호 대 간섭 및 잡음비 기법과 Lagrangian dual decomposition 기법 보다 높은 에너지 효율 성능을 제공함을 보여주고, 제안된 송신 전력 할당 기법은 최대 에너지 효율을 달성할 수 있는 trust region interior point 기법과 유사한 성능을 제공함을 보여준다.

Long-term Environmental Changes: Interpretations from a Marine Benthic Ecologist's Perspective (II) -Eutrophication and Substratum Properties

  • Chemical oxygen demand (COD), phytoplankton cell number and chlorophyll-a concentration (Chl-a), sediment mean grain size and ignition loss were studied to determine their temporal trends in the study area. Historical data of COD, cell number and Chl-a were gathered from the late 1960s or early 1980s to 1997, and trends in temporal domain were obtained from a simple regression. Sediments for grain size and ignition loss (as organic contents in sediments) were sampled from the Chokchon macrotidal flat bimonthly from September 1990 to November 1996, and were analyzed using the decomposition method of time series analysis. In general, the first three data showed increasing trends based on regression analysis. The trends of sediment grain size fluctuated in a neutral pathway while those of ignition loss yielded no increasing pattern. In contrast with the suggestions from Ahn and Choi (1998) who reported a coarsening variation in sediment grain size to be a cause of the directional and remarkable changes of macrofaunal communities in this area, we could not find such a corresponding variation pattern from our samples. In diagnosing eutrophication, a paradoxical phenomenon was encountered between the trends in water column (COD, cell number and Chl-a) and sediment (ignition loss) data. In this paper, we inferred the possible processes that produce the discrepancy. Some explanations and biological responses to eutrophication were predicted and discussed.

Triallyl Borate as an Effective Separator/Cathode Interphase Modifier for Lithium-ion Batteries

  • Ni-rich layered oxides cathode has recently gained attention as an advanced cathode material due to their applicable energy density. However, as the Ni component in the layered site is increased, the high reactivity of Ni4+ results in parasitic reaction associated with decomposing electrolyte, which leads to a rapid decreasing the lifespan of the cell. The electrolyte additive triallyl borate (TAB) improves interfacial stability, leading to a stable cathode-electrolyte interphase (CEI) layer on the LNCM83 cathode. A multi-functionalized TAB additive can produce a uniformly distributed CEI layer via electrochemical oxidation, which implies an increase in long-term cycling performance. After 100 cycles at elevated temperature, the cell tested by 0.75 TAB retained 88.3% of its retention ratio, whereas the cell performed by TAB-free electrolyte retained 64.1% of its retention. Once the TAB additive formed CEI layers on the LNCM83 cathode, it inhibited the decomposition of carbonate-based solvents species in addition to the dissolution of transition metal components from the cathode. The addition of TAB to LNCM83 cathode material is believed to be a promising way to increase the electrochemical performance.

MIMO 공간 다중화 시스템을 위한 효율적인 심볼 검출기의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Efficient Symbol Detector for MIMO Spatial Multiplexing Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 입출력 (MIMO) 공간다중화 (spatial multiplelxing, SM) 시스템을 위한 효율적인 심볼 검출 알고리즘이 제안되고, 이의 최적 설계 및 구현 결과가 제시된다. 에러 전파 (error propagation)을 야기하는 첫 검출 심볼의 검출 성능을 개선시킴으로써, 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 정렬된 QR 분해 (sorted QR decomposition, SQRD) 기반 알고리즘이나 정렬된 순차적 검출 (ordered successive detection, OSD) 알고리즘에 비해 성능 이득을 얻을 수 있다. 4개의 송수신 안테나를 갖는 16QAM MIMO-SM 시스템에 대한 성능 평가 결과, 제안된 알고리즘은 기존 알고리즘에 비해 $10^{-3}$의 EBR에서 약 2.5-13.5 dB의 성능 이득을 얻음을 확인하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 하드웨어 설계 언어를 이용하여 설계 되었고, 0.18um CMOS 표준 셀 공정 라이브러리를 이용하여 합성 및 구현되었다. 구현결과, 제안된 알고리즘은 하드웨어의 큰 증가없이 구현 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • A method of two and three dimensional orthogonal grid generation with control of spacing by using the covariant Laplace equation is Presented. An important feature of the methodology is its ability to control effectively the grid spacing especially near the boundaries still maintaining good orthogonality in whole field. The method is based on the concept of decomposition of the global transformation into consecutive transformation of an approximate conformal mapping and au auxiliary orthogonal mapping to have linear and uncoupled equations. Control of cell spacing is based on the concept of reference arc length, and orthogonal correction is performed in the auxiliary domain. It is concluded that the methodology can successfully generate well controlled orthogonal grids around bodies of 2 and 3 dimensional configurations.

산양산삼 추출물이 지방세포의 분화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Cultivated Wild Ginseng Extract on Preadipocyte Proliferation)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of cultivated wild ginseng extract on primary cultured preadipocyte and adipocytes. Methods Diminish preadipocyte proliferation does primary role to reduce obesity. So, preadipocytes and adipocytes were performed on cell cultures with using Sprague-Dawley rats and treated with 0.01-1mg/ml cultivated wild ginseng extract. Result At all concentrations, cultivated wild ginseng extract wasn't show the suppress proliferation of preadipocytes significantly and failed to show effects on decomposition of adipocytes except high dosage. Conclusion Based on these findings, cultivated wild ginseng is not a suitable choice for the treatment of localized obesity.

  • In this paper we investigate a simple two-level additive Schwarz preconditioner for the P1 symmetric interior penalty Galerkin method of the Poisson equation on rectangular meshes. The construction is based on the decomposition of the global space of piecewise linear polynomials into the sum of local subspaces, each of which corresponds to an element of the underlying mesh, and the global coarse subspace consisting of piecewise constants. This preconditioner is a direct combination of the block Jacobi iteration and the cell-centered finite difference method, and thus very easy to implement. Explicit upper and lower bounds for the maximum and minimum eigenvalues of the preconditioned matrix system are derived and confirmed by some numerical experiments.

  • This paper proposes a path planning method of a mobile robot in two-dimensional work space. The path planning method is based on a cell decomposition approach. To create a path which consists of a number of line segments, the Delaunay Triangulation algorithm is used. Using the cells produced by the Delaunay Triangulation algorithm, a mesh generation algorithm connects the starting position to the goal position. Dijkstra algorithm is used to find the shortest distance path. Greedy algorithm optimizes the path by deleting the path segments which detours without collision with obstacles.

  • 조립작업에 있어서의 경로계획(path planning)에 대하여 지금까지 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔으며, 그것의 주종을 이루는 것들은 cell decomposition 방식과 potential field 방식이다. 이러한 방식들은 free space를 세분하거나 potential field를 계산하는데 많은 시간을 필요로 하며, 조립부품 이동영역이 configuration space로 먼저 치환이 되어야 하는 문제점들이 발생하게 된다. 그러므로, 만약에 조립부품에 대한 이동환경이 복잡하지 않고 알려져 있으면 위의 방식들은 비용적인 면에서 많은 낭비를 가져온다. 본 논문에서는 간단하면서도 알려진 작업환경에서 효과적인 조립부품의 경로계획 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 먼저, channel, junction 및 간격 유지계수(clearance gap)의 개념을 도입하고, 이 개념들을 이용하여 룰 방식의 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 그리고, 이 알고리즘을 이동용 로봇의 경로계획에도 적용될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • In this paper, two Fuzzy Logics for path planning of an autonomous mobile robot are proposed. If a target point is given, such problems regarding the velocity and object recognition are closely related with path to which the mobile robot navigates. Therefore, to ensure safety navigation of the mobile robot for two fuzzy logic parts, path planning considering the surrounding environment was performed in this paper. First, feature points for local and global path are determined by utilizing Cell Decomposition off-line computation. Second, the on-line robot using two Fuzzy Logics navigates around path when it tracks the feature points. We demonstrated optimized path planning only for local path using object recognition fuzzy logic corresponds to domestic situation. Furthermore, when navigating, the robot uses fuzzy logic for velocity and target angle. The proposed algorithms for path planning has been implemented and tested with pioneer-dxe mobile robot.
