Objective: The aim of this review was to investigate clinical studies on Korean medical treatments for dysmenorrhea. Method: Using the keywords "dysmenorrhea," "Korean medical treatment," "acupuncture," and "herbal medicine," searches were conducted using domestic databases, including the National Discovery for Science Leaders (NDSL), the Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), and the Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS). The keywords were combined in various ways, instead of being searched individually. Papers that did not cover clinical studies or were not matched with the subject, absent of the abstract and text, were excluded. Results: Using the above searching method, 20 studies were found. Of these, 15 were in the form of case reports and five were in the form of randomized controlled trials. Acupuncture, herb medicine, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion, and cupping were used as treatments for dysmenorrhea. All of these studies reported that the Korean medical treatment was effective. Conclusion: According to the results, Korean medical treatments can provide an effective treatment for dysmenorrhea. However, more clinical studies on dysmenorrhea should be conducted for further clinical applications.

Dysplastic epiglottis is extremely rare congenital malformation, which usually occurs in association with other laryngeal anomalies. Hypoplasia is the most common type in epiglottic malfomations. Other abnormalities include rudimentary, aplasia and bifid etc. Mostly, they are found in infancy and early childhood, and diagnosis at adulthood is extremely rare. A 69-year-old man with chronic cough and globus sense visited our clinic. Laryngoscopic findings revealed a unique form of epiglottis. He had no history of laryngeal trauma, tumors, head and neck surgery, and radiation. There was no another anomaly in the laryngo-pharynx. Because of a mass-like lesion at the apex of epiglottis, we performed the laryngeal microsurgery. The pathology revealed as granulation tissue. We report a rare and unique case of dysplastic epiglottis in elderly patient with a brief literature review.

Trilateral retinoblastoma is a syndrome involving midline intracranial malignancies in children with the heritable form of retinoblastoma. It is rare and usually lethal in spite of aggressive treatments. We report a case of trilateral retinoblastoma with review of the literature to gain further insight into this uncommon disease.

Cystic lesions of the neck are frequently encountered on clinical basis. The usual differential diagnosis includes branchial cleft, cystic hygroma, dermoid cyst, tuberculous lymphadenitis, benign detached goiterous thyroid cyst, and Cavitation epidermoid carcinoma. Most of cysts are benign and malignant cysts are rare. The most common form of cystic malignancy in the lateral neck is cystic degeneration of epidermoid carcinoma metastatic to cervical lymph nodes. Cystic neoplasia may result from malingnant changes occurring within the wall of a previously benign cyst Complete head and neck examination on the primary focus is important Especially, when palpation of thyroid is negative, thyroid carcinoma is easily overlooked. Recently, we experienced papillary carcinoma of the thyroid seen as lateral neck cyst. So we report this case with review of literatures.

The Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a severe form of erythema multiforme associated with multiple organ involvement that can result in severe mortality. There are many etiologic factors including drugs, infection, or stress ; but accurate pathogenesis is still obscure. Treatments are composed of the removal of possible etiologic factors, symptomatic and supportive treatment. We experienced a case of Stevens-Johnson syndrome with involvement of generalized skin, oral mucosa, and eye involvement. This patient was treated by symptomatic and preventive method including corticosteroid, antihystamine, and opthalmic treatment.

Rhinophyma is a painless benign tumor of the skin of the nose. It is the most severe form of rosacea. Rhinophyma is particularly rare among Asians. It can be treated with surgical resection using various methods, including scalpel excision, dermabrasion, cryosurgery, argon laser, carbon dioxide laser, and electrocautery. However, the gold standard treatment of rhinophyma remains unknown. In the present case, we debulked a giant rhinophyma with a scalpel and contoured it using a bur. Along with a relevant literature review, we present a case of rhinophyma in an Asian patient who was treated at no additional cost using a bur widely used in general plastic surgery.

The management of enterprise knowledge has been increasingly important because knowledge emerges as the new basis of competition in postcapitalist society. One of the key issues in knowledge management is to put knowledge into a repository where it can be easily stored, reused, and recreated. This paper proposes a model repository and the corresponding knowledge management framework. The emphases of model repository is on abstraction knowledge in the form of schematic models. Two major benefits are model independence and model integration. A metaschema is constructed according to six conceptual components: separate unit, external link, internal link, separate unite descriptor, link descriptor, and composite descriptor, which can be applied for a variety of models. A prototype system with a case illustrates the practical usefulness of model repository for knowledge management.

Osteogenic sarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor of bone in which tumor cells form neoplastic osteoid or bone or both. Classic osteogenic sarcoma usually involves the metaphysis of the more rapidly growing long bones (distal femur, proximal tibia). Osteogenic sarcoma of the foot is rarely noted and only a few well documented cases have been reported. Osteogenic sarcoma of foot can clinically, radiographically, and histologically mimic several benign lesions and tumor-like lesions, so it sometimes leads to late diagnosis and delayed treatment. We experienced a case of primary osteogenic sarcoma on left calcaneus in 66-years-old female and report it with a review of references.

The purpose of this study was to review and establish the two concepts of art film and artistic expression in Prada fashion films, through a literature review of domestic and international case studies, as a form of luxury branded content, Prada fashion films are considered to artistic film genre. For the study, aesthetic expression in art films as discussed in the previous research was divided into four types. The study method was to review fashion / art films from the founding of YouTube, specially, works that used digital images from Thunder Perfect Mind, which was introduced in Prada in 2005, to Nylon Farm in 2018, stylistic features were searched by film. In addition, for this study, fashion film was analyzed based on the typology of art films. The following conclusions regarding artistic expression were drawn from this study : First, the Prada fashion films represent a transition to advanced art through a conceptual approach. Second, the causal relationships personality psychology can be cited through the disturbed and fragmented narrative lines. Third, the films help people identity Prada's aesthetics by humanizing the luxury brand. Fourth, the films are a feature of serialization.

Objective: Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) is a leading cause of pediatric blindness and the most common form of pediatric visual disability, particularly prevalent among children with cerebral palsy (CP). This systematic review synthesizes the latest research on various interventions for managing CVI, focusing on studies published in the last decade. Design: A systematic review Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in March 2024 across several databases including MEDLINE, CINAHL, Embase, and Web of Science. Studies were selected based on inclusion criteria set under the PICOSD framework and were limited to those involving human subjects, published in English, and conducted within the past ten years. The selected studies included randomized controlled trials, observational studies, and case reports focusing on rehabilitation, therapy, and surgical interventions for CVI. Results: Out of 221 studies screened, 5 met the inclusion criteria and were reviewed in detail. These studies covered a range of interventions including physiotherapy, sensory integration training, visual training programs, neuromotor rehabilitation, and surgical procedures aimed at improving visual function and overall quality of life for CVI patients. Conclusions: The studies demonstrate the potential benefits of structured, early intervention programs that incorporate family involvement and are tailored to the unique needs of children with CVI. However, there remains a significant need for further research to establish evidence-based practices in this field.
