Trilateral retinoblastoma is a syndrome involving midline intracranial malignancies in children with the heritable form of retinoblastoma. It is rare and usually lethal in spite of aggressive treatments. We report a case of trilateral retinoblastoma with review of the literature to gain further insight into this uncommon disease.

Background and Objective : Localized Pustular Psoriasis(LPP) is a rare form of psoriasis characterized by erythematous papules, plaques studded with pustules(usually on palms or soles) However, the pathophysiology of the LPP remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is no report on LPP treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods : We conducted one patient with LPP seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital in 2003. We treated LPP in a forty-nine years old man by a herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxa, etc Conclusions : We had a significant results. So we report this case to estimate the efficiency of oriental medic at treatment and management on LPP

Patients with facial paralysis, in whom nerve damage is irreparable or in whom the innervation of the paralyzed musculature cannot be restored by nerve suture, grafting, or cross-face nerve transplantation, should be offered some form of reconstructive static and dynamic aid. Temporalis muscle-fascia unit used as a circumorbital sling and motor unit is a dynamic controlled reconstructive procedure, but it has several disadvantages such as wide surgical exposure, bulky-looking at lateral canthal area, insufficient voluntary control. This is a case report of facial palsy of posttraumatic lagophthalmos of 41-year-old male, which was corrected by temporalis muscle-tendon transfer with plantaris tendon transplantation.

Slight protrusion of the dorsum of midfoot without degenerative arthritis is common and usually can be treated by avoiding pressure of the shoe. Primary or posttraumatic degenerative arthritis accompanied by severe functional disability is treated by realignment and arthrodesis of the involved joints. We report a case of osteophytic changes in the form of lipping at the base of the first metatarsal and medial cuneiform which was treated by resection of the spurs. The cause of these spurs may be the congenital coalition of the first metatarsocuneiform joint.

Recently, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) was given the status of an approved form of psychotherapy for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder. However, its effectiveness in the treatment of other anxiety disorders such as phobia is yet to be determined given that controlled studies have provided mixed results. This report summarizes the case of a child with a specific phobia (i.e. nighttime fear) which was successfully treated with two sessions of EMDR. This result suggests the further and thorough evaluation of this technique for use in childhood phobic disorders.

The diffuse form of supravalvar aortic stenosis represents a surgical challenge when the ascending aorta, aortic arch, proximal descending thoracic aorta and arch arteries are involved. It can be treated by a variety of surgical approaches. We report a case of severe diffuse supravalvar aortic stenosis combined with an aortic valve anomaly and occlusion of the right coronary artery ostium in a 14-year-old boy with Williams syndrome. We enlarged the aortic root(Nick's procedure), ascending aorta, aortic arch, proximal descending thoracic aorta, and innominate artery with patches and replaced aortic valve with 19 mm St. Jude valve. Deep hypothermic circulatory arrest and retrograde cerebral perfusion were used during repair of the arch and arch artery.

Osteogenic sarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor of bone in which tumor cells form neoplastic osteoid or bone or both. Classic osteogenic sarcoma usually involves the metaphysis of the more rapidly growing long bones (distal femur, proximal tibia). Osteogenic sarcoma of the foot is rarely noted and only a few well documented cases have been reported. Osteogenic sarcoma of foot can clinically, radiographically, and histologically mimic several benign lesions and tumor-like lesions, so it sometimes leads to late diagnosis and delayed treatment. We experienced a case of primary osteogenic sarcoma on left calcaneus in 66-years-old female and report it with a review of references.

Background and Objective: Erythema multiforme(EM) is related disorders of skin and mucous membranes which is typically associated with antecedent medications or infections. etc. EM is an erythematous maculopapular cutaneous eruption of variable form. However, the pathophysiology of the EM remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is no report on EM treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods: We conducted one patient with EM seen at Won-Kwang University Kwang-Ju Oriental Medical Hospital in 2004. We treated EM in a twenty-two years old man by a herbal medicine(Joa-Chang-Bang), a herbal medicine for external use, acupunture, moxa, COTDE-made cosmetics, and P-Tx(carbon). Conclusions. We had a significant results. So we report this case to estimate the efficiency of oriental medical treatment and management on EM.

후복막 자궁외 임신은 자궁외 임신 중에서도 매우 드물게 발생한다. 후복막 자궁외 임신은 발생률이 낮고 비특이적 증상을 보여 첫 내원 시 진단이 매우 어렵다. 주로 방사선 위험이 없는 초음파, 자기공명영상을 통해 진단이 이루어지며 전산화단층촬영을 촬영하는 경우는 드물다. 우리는 전산화단층촬영을 통하여 진단된 드문 후복강 자궁외 임신 1예를 보고하고자 한다.

Objectives: The object of this study is to report a clinical effect of oriental medical treatments with Chuna for acute low back pain during the early stages of pregnancy.Methods: The patient in this case, 31 years-old female was admitted for 1days (20th/June/2016-30th/June/2016) due to the acute low back pain on the 7 weeks of pregnancy. We diagnosed as 挫閃腰痛, 傷筋 (Sprain and strain of lumbar spine) and treated with Chuna therapy and other conservative treatments including acupuncture herbal mixture. And we measured Visual Analog Score (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), McGill pain questionnaire-short form (SF-MPQ).Results: After treatments, Visual Analog Score (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), McGill pain questionnaire-short form (SF-MPQ) were significantly improved in case.Conclusion: Oriental medical treatments with Chuna manual therapy were associated with improvement of acute low back pain during the early stages of pregnancy.
