  • This paper presents a method for generating an autonomous activity-based diary in the environment including a personal computer (PC). In order to record a user's various tasks in front of a PC, we consider the contextual information such as current time, opened programs, and user interactions. As one modality for the user interaction, a motion sensor was applied to recognize a user's hand gestures in case that the activity is conducted without interaction between the user and the PC. Moreover, we propose a temporal clustering method to recapitulate the sequential and meaningful activity in the stream of extracted PC usage logs. By combining those two processes, we summarize the user activities in the PC environment.

  • To keep the online medical records available to anyone without constraint of time and space, introducing EMR (Electronic medical record), which is a clinical support management system. The purpose of this study is to develop interface standard of clinical test device. Integration and sharing of medical information is faced with enormous obstacles because medical organizations and associated companies are separately developing the interface. I hope that multi-function management system with workstation concept is operated to efficiently transmit clinical device result data based on this study. Transfer of precise medical result data available for decision making will improve quality of health care service.

  • Physical therapy record what the therapist dose to manage the individual patients case. The rights of the therapist and patients are protected should any question occur in the future regarding the care provided to the patient. Physical therapy note is a method of communicating with the patient's physician, other health care professionals and including other therapists. Abbreviations and symbols are used as a time and space saver while writing physical therapy Progress note. In order to ensure that everyone in the hospital need understand what has been written in the chart by others. Therefore, we need a enactment of physical therapy abbreviations and symbols in Korea. There are 468 abbreviations and symbols. It will be change with development of medical science, physical therapy and culture.

  • Ground penetrating radar(GPR) uses radio waves to detect buried objects in any non-metallic material. Initially it was used to detect structures in ice. GPR has evolved to include the penetration of soils, rocks and man-made structures. GPR uses a sensitive detector to record weak radio waves reflected from objects embedded in the material under investigation. In this study, the GPR is applied to outside plant telecommunication facilities such as cable tunnels, manholes and underground conduits and model experiments to obtain radar characteristics. The thickness and soundness of tunnel lining can be evaluated, and the location of rebars and steel ribs can also be found effectively. The location of underground conduits as well as manholes can be found and the results of GPR give good coincidence with design drawings. In order to investigate the tunnel lining, the GPR mounted vehicle is developed and it is proved that the vehicle can save time and manpower.

  • This is a study on the houses that will be submerged by the construction of hwa-buk dam. The purpose of this study is to record the folk houses that will be disappeared, and to make clear the regional characteristics of folk houses in this area. The type of site plan presents variously according to the location of several important factors. Types of site plan that are presented in this area are 4 (-, \ulcorner, equation omitted, - ), and \ulcorner, type is general. Types of houses according to the number of front room unit are 2. And 3room and 4 room type enlarge the living space by installing the toe-gan. In case of the 4 room-type is having Maru between rooms. The 3 room type shows superior distribution than the 4 room type.

  • Objective: Data exchange, interoperability, and access as a service in healthcare information management systems (HIMS) is the basic need to provision health-services. Data existing in various HIMS not only differ in the basic underlying structure but also in data processing systems. Data interoperability can only be achieved when following a common structure or standard which is shareable such as semantics based structures. We propose web-enabler: A Hadoop MapReduce based distributed approach to transform the existing huge variety data in variety formats to a conformed and flexible ontological format that enables easy access to data, sharing, and providing various healthcare services. Results: For proof of concept, we present a case study of general patient record in conventional system to be enabled for analysis on the web by transforming to semantics based structure. Conclusion: This work achieves transformation of stale as well as future data to be web-enabled and easily available for analytics in healthcare systems.

  • In the field of cultural heritage, for the purpose of its preservation and restoration, cultural heritage has been recorded using three-dimensional (3D) digital technology. However, these 3D digital records are a large-scale digital record produced through complicated steps from point cloud data acquisition to 3D model production, and long-term preservation problems cannot be avoided. With international discussions are ongoing, this study looks into the preservation direction of the cultural heritage 3D digital records based on precedent research and case analysis.

  • This paper describes an adaptive management approach for predicting, monitoring, and controlling ground movements associated with excavations in urban areas. Successful use of monitoring data to update performance predictions of supported excavations depends equally on reasonable numerical simulations of performance, the type of monitoring data used as observations, and the optimization techniques used to minimize the difference between predictions and observed performance. This paper summarizes each of these factors and emphasizes their inter-dependence. Numerical considerations are described, including the initial stress and boundary conditions, the importance of reasonable representation of the construction process, and factors affecting the selection of the constitutive model. Monitoring data that can be used in conjunction with current numerical capabilities are discussed, including laser scanning and webcams for developing an accurate record of construction activities, and automated and remote instrumentations to measure movements. Self-updating numerical models that have been successfully used to compute anticipated ground movements, update predictions of field observations and to learn from field observations are summarized. Applications of these techniques from case studies are presented to illustrate the capabilities of this approach.
