The Evaluation Tool and Process for Effective Education Outcomes Measurement and Analysis of Computer Education

  • This paper is concerned with education courses operating practices for basic computer literacy training. In this study, we propose an example for students to effectively measure and evaluate the achievement of defined ability in the performance measurement and analysis, learning objectives and learning outcomes set in operation throughout the course. Through research and development use case presents the tools for teaching method and effective and objective measurement of the related subjects. And based on the results, we propose the possibility of utilizing NCS-based course operation and education certification. In this study, the measurement process is based on the association with the objective of the development and operation, and measurement tools, measuring tools for measuring learning outcomes associated with the curriculum design methods for the measurement and evaluation of the case of the operation of the course units of learning outcomes and the method proposed.

Secondary School Science Education for Whom?: An Historical Case Study from Japan

  • In many countries, secondary school science is no longer solely for those destined for careers in science, medicine or engineering and both boys and girls study biology, chemistry and physics. In Japan, secondary science has been studied by boys and girls as a compulsory subject since the establishment of the modem school system in the late 19th Century. However, although 'science for all' is becoming the norm, it appears that science is less popular with girls than it is with boys, and that lower-attaining students are not adequately catered for in Japan and elsewhere. In this paper, the author investigates gender issues in the secondary science curriculum and examines the curriculum for future scientists using a historical perspective and focusing on the case of Japan. An analysis of two historical issues, gender and the curriculum for future scientists, found that, firstly, the science curriculum needs to contain a clear statement of its aims, and, secondly, that the secondary science teacher is one of the most important factors influencing science teaching particularly for girls. ost important factors influencing science teaching especially for girls.

  • This paper aims to explore whether Learning Study improves teachers' subject content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and attitude toward teaching mathematics. A Learning Study was conducted in a Hong Kong primary school for a research lesson on comparing the size of fractions to explore the new teacher roles.

영재학생의 시험선발과 자동진급방법에 따른 영재학생의 학업정서, 메타인지능력, 자기효능감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gifted Students Academic Emotion, Metacognition, Self-Efficacy According to Gifted Students Selection Methods between the examination selection and the automatic promotion)

  • 연구의 목적은 영재교육대상자의 선발 방법이다. 즉, 시험 선발과 자동 진급에 따라 선발된 영재학생간의 학업정서, 메타인지, 자기효능감을 차이를 비교, 분석함으로써 선발 방법에 따른 영재 학생의 특성을 이해하고 효과적인 영재교육을 위한 영재교육대상자 판별 및 선발에 있어서의 타당한 근거를 마련해 보고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영재선발방법에 따라 선발된 영재 학생간의 학업정서, 메타인지능력 및 자기효능감의 연구에서는 시험 선발 영재학생과 자동 진급 영재 학생 간에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 영재라는 동질 집단 조건에서는 선발방법의 차이에 따른 영향은 없는 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 동일한 선발된 방법에 따른 비교에서, 영재학생의 학업정서를 살펴보면, 시험선발의 경우 초등과 중등 모두에서 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 자동진급에서는 중등의 영재교육기관별 분석에서 영재교육원 학생이 영재학급 학생보다 높았음을 알 수 있었다(p<.05). 메타인지능력에서 있어서는 초등에서는 차이가 없었으나, 중등의 경우 시험선발에서 남학생이, 영재교육원 학생이 높았고(p<.05), 자동진급에서는 영재교육원 학생이 높았음을 알았다(p<.05). 또한 자기효능감에서는 선발 방식에 따라 차이가 없었고 단지 자동진급에서 영재교육원 학생이 영재학급학생보다 높았음을 알았다(p<.05).

온라인 학습에서 머신러닝을 활용한 초등 4학년 식물 분류 학습의 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Application of Plant Classification Learning for 4th Grade Elementary School Using Machine Learning in Online Learning)

  • This study is a case study that applies plant classification learning using machine learning to fourth graders in elementary school in online learning situations. In this study, a plant classification learning education program associated with 2015 revision science curriculum was developed by applying the Artificial Intelligence biological classification teaching Learning model. The study participants were 31 fourth graders who agreed to participate voluntarily. Plant classification learning using machine learning was applied six hours for three weeks. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of image analysis on artificial intelligence, participants were mainly aware of artificial intelligence as mechanical (27%), human (23%) and household goods (23%). Second, an artificial intelligence recognition survey by semantic discrimination found that artificial intelligence was recognized as smart, good, accurate, new, interesting, necessary, and diverse. Third, there was a difference between men and women in perception and emotion of artificial intelligence, and there was no difference in perception of the ability of artificial intelligence. Fourth, plant classification learning using machine learning in this study influenced changes in artificial intelligence perception. Fifth, plant classification learning using machine learning in this study had a positive effect on reasoning ability.

초등학교 교과교육에서의 환경교육 강화방안 (A Study on the Strategies for Strengthening Subject-based Environmental Education in Elementary Schools)

  • This research aims to improve the environmental education for elementary student's education program. That let environmental education be connected to other curriculum with a compunction enhancement plan to the internal volume side of environmental education, and grope for activation of compunction environmental education with curriculum necessary paradigm conversion of education for continuance possibility in green education. In case of legal and system, improving of legal and system by establishment of the environmental education act for system repair and source of revenue preparation of environmental education is needed. Based on importance of teaching-education and evaluation, it must be developed various teaching-education ways of environmental education in case of curriculum and an improvement of teaching-education ways and evaluation must be performed. After teaching-education about environmental education has been executed, a teaching-education improvement must be performed by evaluation.

산업체 연계 프로젝트 기반 학습(PBL)을 활용한 성형해석 실습 교과목 운영 사례 연구 (Case Study on Education of Metal Forming Simulation Practice Subject through Industry-linked Project Based Learning)

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct Project Based Learning (PBL) in collaboration with industry experts to operate practical subjects in an industry-university-linked teaching method. PBL is a teaching method in which students can learn through actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects. For a long period of time, PBL methodologies have been found to be especially effective in engineering education. This case study deals with the operational results of a practice subject which has been conducted over three years from 2017 to 2019 in Korea University of Technology and Education. The course is for the 4th grade students in the school of mechatronics engineering. The results of the surveyed learning outcomes (for example, Program Outcomes and Course Learning Outcomes) have been analyzed and reflected in the next years for the Continuous Quality Improvement. By working on practical projects linked to industry, students have been able to develop so-called 4C's capabilities which are Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration.

사용자 중심의 단설 유치원 계획 및 설계기준을 위한 기초연구 -사례조사와 자문의견을 중심으로- (Basic Study for User-centered Kindergarten Planning and Design Standards -Focusing on Case Studies and Advice-)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 유치원 교육공간의 문제점 및 시설적 한계를 탈피하여 미래 사회 및 미래 교육의 변화에 대응하여 유치원 교육공간의 구체적인 실행 모델구축을 위한 기초연구로써 국내 사례조사와 전문가 자문 결과를 바탕으로 계획방향(Criteria)을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 누리과정에 대한 고찰과 국내 사례분석, 유치원 전문가 협의회를 통해 유치원 시설계획에 대한 구체적인 기준 개정을 통해 구체적인 실행 모델 구축을 위한 기초자료로 사용됨으로써 추후 교육정책에 따른 긍정적인 효과를 주는데 기여하고자 한다. 주요 연구결과로는 사례분석과 자문협의를 통해 배치계획, 일반교실과 지원시설, 공용공간, 외부공간으로 구분된 시설기준 및 계획방향을 도출하였으며, 향후 본 기초연구에서 도출된 시설기준을 바탕으로 공간에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하고, 체계화를 위한 과정이 필요하다.

Virtual reality education program including three-dimensional individualized liver model and education videos: A pilot case report in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma

  • Three-dimensional (3D) modeling of the liver can be especially useful for both the surgeon and patient to understand the actual location of the tumor and planning the resection plane. Virtual reality (VR) can enhance the understanding of 3D structures and create an environment where the user can focus on contents provided. In the present study, a VR platform was developed using Unreal Engine 4 software (Epic Games, Potomac, MD, USA). Patient's liver based on magnetic resonance image was imported as a 3D model that could distinguish liver parenchyma, vascular structure, and cancer. Preoperative education videos for patients were developed. They could be viewed inside the VR platform. To evaluate the usefulness of VR education program for patients undergoing liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma, a randomized clinical trial evaluating the knowledge and anxiety of the patient was designed. The case presented in this report was the first experience of performing the VR education program and examining the knowledge and anxiety using questionnaires. When the knowledge score increased, the anxiety score also increased after the education program. Based on findings of this pilot case study, the timing and place where the questionnaire will be answered can be modified for formal initiation of the randomized controlled study to examine the usefulness of VR in patient education.

초등예비교사 교육에서의 플립드 러닝 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Flipped Learning Class in Pre-service Teacher Education)

  • 최근 플립드 러닝, 블렌디드 러닝 등 전통적인 강의식 수업에 변화를 꾀하는 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있으며, 다양한 분야에서 그 효과성이 검증되고 있다. 한편, 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 학생 참여형 수업을 활성화하여 자기주도적 학습 능력을 기를 수 있도록 하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 요구에 맞게 교수자 역시 수업 방식의 변화를 시도하여야 하고, 그러한 새로운 수업 방식의 장단점과 효과를 확인하면서 더 나은 수업으로의 개선을 꾀하여야 할것이다. 본 연구에서는 교육대학 2학년 학생들이 필수로 이수하는 초등수학교육 이론 수업에 플립드 러닝을 적용한 사례를 분석하였다.
