V2X 및 환경 센서 융합 기반 교차로 안전 시스템 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Control Algorithm for Intersection Safety System Using the Fusion of V2X and Environmental Sensors)

  • This paper describes the development and verification of control algorithms for V2X and environmental sensor integrated intersection support and safety systems. The objective of the research is to develop core technologies for effective fusion of V2X and environmental sensors and to develop new safety function for intersection safety. One of core technologies is to achieve the improvement of GPS accuracy, and the other is to develop the algorithm of a vehicle identification which matches all data from V2X, vehicle sensors and environmental sensors to specific vehicles. A intersection optimal pass (IOP) algorithm is designed based on these core technologies. IOP recommends appropriate speed to pass the intersection in the consideration of traffic light signal and preceeding vehicle existence. Another function is developed to prevent a collision avoidance when car crash caused by traffic violation of surrounding vehicles is expected. Finally all functions are implemented and tested in three test vehicles. It is shown that IOP can support convenient and comfortable driving with recommending optimal pass speed and collision avoidance algorithm can effectively prevent collision caused by traffic sign violation of surrounding vehicles.

도심 지역 비행을 위한 지상 인명 피해 기반 소형무인기 고장 빈도 분석 (Small UAV Failure Rate Analysis Based on Human Damage on the Ground Considering Flight Over Populated Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 소형무인기(≤25kg)가 도심 지역에서 비행하고자 할 때 요구되는 고장 빈도를 무인기 추락 시 발생할 수 있는 지상 인명 피해를 기반으로 정량적으로 분석하였다. 도심 지역의 인구 밀도, 차량 교통량, 건폐율, 건물 층수 데이터 및 무인기 추락 궤적 모델링을 이용하여 특정 위치에서 무인기 추락 시 인명 피해를 계산하였고 이를 바탕으로 각 무인기 추락 위치에서 안전성 목표값을 만족하기 위한 최대 허용 가능 무인기 고장 빈도를 계산하였다. 이를 통해 각 무인기 추락 위치별 고장 빈도 요구사항을 맵 형태로 도출할 수 있었다. 최종적으로 최대 허용 가능 무인기 고장 빈도를 몇 구간으로 구분하여 각 구간별 도심 지역 비행 가능 영역을 분석하였다. 영월 지역을 대상으로 했을 때 인구 주거 지역 접근을 위해서는 최소 10-4 (failure/flight hour) 이하의 무인기 고장 빈도가 요구됨을 확인하였다.

교통사고 소아환자 121례를 통한 임상적 고찰 (The Clinical Study on 121 Traffic Accident Child Patients)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of children patients who had been treated in the Oriental Medical Hospital due to traffic accidents. Methods The study was carried out with 121 children patients who visited the Oriental Medical Hospital from April 2011 to March 2012 and was analyzed by reviewing the patients' charts. Results In the distribution of sex the ratio between boys and girls were similar, but regarding the age, 0~6 year-old group was more than that of 7~15 year-old group. In the traffic accident patterns, 87.6% of the entire children patients were injured by car crash. The highest type in the collision between cars was rear-ending impact. The most patients (48.8%) visited our hospital for oriental medical treatment in less than 3 days after the traffic accident. The number of the first visitors in the Oriental Medical Hospital were 77 (63.6%) and those who visited other western hospitals before and were 44 (36.4%). The most frequent duration of admission and treatment in OPD was less than 7 days. Sleeping disorders (37.1%) were diagnosed the highest in 0~6 year-old group and C-spine sprain (49.0%) was diagnosed the highest at 0~7 years-old group. Herb medications were prescribed to relieve anxiety for 0~6 year-old group and for 7~15 year-old group, those were prescribed to activate blood eliminating phlegm and to normalize Qi flow. The highest effective treatment period was less than 7 days. Conclusions This data suggested that the oriental medical care could be more effective in treating children victims of traffic accidents by confirming many different symptoms depending on the age.

안개발생시 운전자의 안전을 위한 멀티센서 기반의 차량 안전 시스템 설계 (Design of Vehicle Safety System based on Multi-sensor for Driver's Safety to Fog)

  • 안개가 발생하였을 시 운전자는 시야가 확보되지 않아 운전에 어려움을 가지게 되고 이 경우 교통사고의 발생 확률이 매우 높다. 이러한 사고를 줄이고 운전자의 안전을 확보하기위한 방안으로는 운전자에게 현재의 상황을 인지하여 서비스를 제공하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 안개가 발생할 경우 사고를 방지하기 위해 차량 안전 시스템을 이용하여 적절한 경고 및 제어를 하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 차량외부에 설치된 습도, 조도 센서로부터 수집된 정보를 자동차 내부의 안개검출 시스템 컨트롤러에서 조건을 확인한 후 영상장비를 이용하여 최종적으로 안개가 발생하여 운전자의 시야가 확보되지 않을 경우 이벤트를 발생시키는 시스템이다.

Self-Piercing Rivet과 Hybrid Joining을 이용한 자동차용 선도장 칼라강판과 용융아연도금강판의 접합부 기계적 성질 평가 (A Study on Tensile Shear Characteristics of Dissimilar Joining Between Pre-coated Automotive Metal Sheets and Galvanized Steels with the Self-Piercing Rivet and Hybrid Joining)

  • The automotive manufactures increase their use of lightweight materials to improve fuel economy and energy usage has a significant influence on the choice of developing materials. To meet this requirements manufacturers are replacing individual body parts with lightweight metals, for these the process treating and painting surfaces is changing. The pre-coated steels are newly developed to avoid the conventional complex and non-environmental painting process in the body-in-white car manufacturing. The development of new joining techniques is critically needed for pre-coated steel sheets, which are electrically non-conductive materials. In the present study, dissimilar combination of pre-coated steel and galvanized steel sheets were joined by the self-piercing rivet, adhesive bonding and hybrid joining techniques. The tensile shear test and free falling high speed crash test were conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of the joints. The highest tensile peak load with large deformation was observed for the hybrid joining process which has attained 48% higher than the self-piercing rivet. Moreover, the hybrid and adhesive joints were observed better strain energy compared to self-piercing rivet. The fractography analyses were revealed that the mixed mode of cohesive and interfacial fracture for both the hybrid and adhesive bonding joints.

소형지주에 충돌하는 차량의 속도변화 산정방법과 영향인자 (Calculation Method and Influence Factor for Speed Change of a Vehicle Impacting Small Sign Post)

  • Breakaway 단부장치 설계에 중요한 요소가 충돌 차량의 속도변화이다. 이는 충돌실험이나 3차원 유한요소 해석을 통해서 구할 수 있으나 에너지와 운동량 보존의 법칙을 이용하여 비교적 간단하게 계산할 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 에너지와 운동량 보존의 법칙에 기초한 지주와 소형차 충돌 시 속도변화를 계산하는 식을 유도하였다. 이를 이용한 민감도 분석을 통하여 지주 단부의 분리하중, 파괴에너지, 차량의 강도 와 충돌속도가 소형지주에 충돌하는 차량의 속도변화에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 지주 단부가 기초에 고정된 정도를 나타내는 분리력 및 분리파괴에너지(Breakaway Fracture Energy)가 클수록 속도변화가 크고 충돌속도의 크기가 작을수록 속도변화가 크게 나타났다.

경로 최적화 알고리즘을 이용한 3차원 차량 충돌 시뮬레이션 (Vehicle Crash Simulation using Trajectory Optimization)

  • 본 논문은 실제 블랙박스 영상을 통해 추적한 차량의 실제 경로 또는 사용자가 UI를 통해 그린 차량의 이동 경로를 이용하여 사실적인 3차원 차량 충돌 장면을 물리 시뮬레이션을 통해 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션에 사용될 차량의 3차원 경로의 획득, 물리 기반 시뮬레이터 상에서 사용자가 원하는 경로대로 3차원 차량 모델을 적은 오차로 제어하는 경로 추적 알고리즘, 그리고 남아있는 오차를 보다 더 줄여주는 경로 최적화 알고리즘을 조합하여 사용자의 의도에 맞는 정확한 경로에서의 차량 충돌 장면을 재현하도록 도와준다. 또한 차량 충돌로 인한 차체의 변형을 차량 모델 골격의 세분화를 통하여 실시간으로 시뮬레이션 하여 실제 교통사고 시의 차량의 충돌 장면이 최대한 가상공간에서 사실적으로 재현되도록 한다.

  • The plastics are widely utilized in the inside of vehicles. The dynamic tensile characteristics of auto-body plastics are important in a prediction of deformation mode of the plastic component which undergoes the high speed deformation during car crash. This paper is concerned with the dynamic tensile characteristics of the auto-body plastics at intermediate strain rates. Quasi-static tensile tests were carried out at the strain rate ranged from 0.001/sec to 0.01/sec using the static tensile machine(Instron 5583). Dynamic tensile tests were carried out at the strain rate ranged from 0.1/sec to 100/sec using the high speed material testing machine developed. Conventional extensometry method is no longer available for plastics, since the deformation of plastic is accompanied with localized deformation. In this paper, quasi-static and dynamic tensile tests were performed using ASTM IV standard specimens with grids and images from a high speed camera were analyzed for strain measurement. True stress-strain relations and the actual strain rates at each deformation step were obtained by processing load data and deformation images, assuming the plastics to deform uniformly in each grid.

정면충돌 시 차량 탑승자의 하지 손상기전에 대한 분석 (Analysis of Lower Extremity Injury Mechanism Centered on Frontal Collision in Occupant Motor Vehicle Crashes)

  • Injury mechanisms of lower extremity injuries in motor vehicle accidents are focused on fractures, sprains, and contusions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the analysis of lower extremity injury mechanism in occupant motor vehicle accident by using Hospital Information System (HIS) and reconstruction program, based on the materials related to motor vehicle accidents. Among patients who visited the emergency department of Wonju Severance Christian Hospital due to motor vehicle accidents from August 2012 to February 2014, we collected data on patients with agreement for taking the damaged vehicle's photos. After obtaining the verbal consent from the patient, we asked about the cause of the accident, information on vehicle involved in the accident, and the location of car repair shop. The photos of the damaged vehicle were taken on the basis of front, rear, left side and right side. Damage to the vehicle was presented using the CDC code by analytical study of photo-images of the damaged vehicle, and a trauma score was used for medical examination of the severity of the patient's injury. Among the 1,699 patients due to motor vehicle crashes, 88 (5.2%) received a diagnosis of lower extremity fracture and 141 (8.3%) were the severe who had ISS over 15. Nevertheless during 19 months for research, it was difficult to build up in-depth database about motor vehicle crashes. It has a limitation on collecting data because not only the system for constructing database about motor vehicle crash is not organized but also the process for demanding materials is not available due to prevention of personal information. For accurate analysis of the relationship between occupant injury and vehicle damage in motor vehicle crashes, build-up of an in-depth database through carrying out various policies for motor vehicle crashes is necessary for sure.

12인승 밴 전복사고의 상해 분석 (Injury Analysis of a 12-passenger Van Rollover Accident)

  • The fatality of rollover accidents in motor vehicle crashes is high despite their low incidence. Through the investigation of a 12-passenger van rollover accident in which 10 passengers were involved, we intend to analyze the correlation between the severity of the injury and the position of the occupants. We collected accident information from medical records, interviews, photo-images of the damaged van, field surveys, and the results of the Korean New Car Assessment Program (KNCAP). Based on the occupants' position, we classified injury sites and estimated injury severity. Passenger injury severity was evaluated by trauma score calculation. The initiation type of the rollover accident was passenger side 'fall-over' and the Collision Deformation Classification (CDC) code for the damaged van was 00TDZO3. The crash of the van involved 10 passengers, with an average age of $16.3{\pm}4.2years$. Few of the occupants had fastened seat belts at the time of the incident, and there was no airbag installed. One patient sustained severe liver injury and another was diagnosed with a fracture of the right humerus. The most common injuries were at the upper extremities and the neck. The average of Injury Severity Score (ISS) was $4.8{\pm}5.9$, and the average ISS of right-seated, mid-seated and left-seated occupants was $7.5{\pm}9.3$, $1.5{\pm}0.7$, and $3.3{\pm}2.1$ respectively (p>0.05). In the rollover (to-passenger side) accident of occupant unfastened, the average ISS of right-seated occupants (near side) was higher, but there was no statistically significant difference.
