자동차 환경에서 Oak DSP 코어 기반 음성 인식 시스템 실시간 구현 (A Real-Time Implementation of Speech Recognition System Using Oak DSP core in the Car Noise Environment)

  • This paper presents a real-time implementation of a speaker independent speech recognition system based on a discrete hidden markov model(DHMM). This system is developed for a car navigation system to design on-chip VLSI system of speech recognition which is used by fixed point Oak DSP core of DSP GROUP LTD. We analyze recognition procedure with C language to implement fixed point real-time algorithms. Based on the analyses, we improve the algorithms which are possible to operate in real-time, and can verify the recognition result at the same time as speech ends, by processing all recognition routines within a frame. A car noise is the colored noise concentrated heavily on the low frequency segment under 400 Hz. For the noise robust processing, the high pass filtering and the liftering on the distance measure of feature vectors are applied to the recognition system. Recognition experiments on the twelve isolated command words were performed. The recognition rates of the baseline recognizer were 98.68% in a stopping situation and 80.7% in a running situation. Using the noise processing methods, the recognition rates were enhanced to 89.04% in a running situation.

남녀성별 분류를 위한 화자종속 음성인식 알고리즘 (Speaker-dependent Speech Recognition Algorithm for Male and Female Classification)

  • 본 논문에서는 백색잡음 및 자동차잡음 환경 하에서 남녀 성별인식이 가능한 신경회로망에 의한 화자종속 음성인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 음성인식 알고리즘은 남성화자 및 여성화자를 인식하기 위하여 LPC 켑스트럼 계수를 사용하여 신경회로망에 의하여 학습된다. 본 실험에서는 백색잡음 및 자동차잡음에 대하여 총 6개의 신경회로망의 네크워크에 대한 인식결과를 나타낸다. 인식실험의 결과로부터 백색잡음에 대해서는 최대 96% 이상의 인식률, 자동차잡음에 대해서는 최대 88% 이상의 인식률을 구하였다. 마지막으로 본 실험에서는 제안하는 음성인식 알고리즘이 배경잡음 환경 하에서의 기존의 음성인식 알고리즘과 비교하여 본 방식의 알고리즘이 유효하다는 것을 실험으로 확인한다.

  • Since the eco-era is getting closer, the importance of noise reducing in the passenger cars of high-speed train is very important. The active noise control is best choice to reduce low frequency noise because the passive one is too heavy for high speed trains where weight is so critical. Also ANC is able to reduce the ambient noise when the environmental-factor changes. To reduce a three-dimensional closed-space sound field like a car of a high-speed rail is hard to do using single channel ANC control system. We used multi-channel FXLMS algorithm which calculation speed is fast and the secondary path estimation is possible in order to take into account the physical delay in electro acoustic hardware control loudspeaker and power amplifier. Firstly, we have measured interior noise of KTX and estimated noise path in KTX test-bed. However there was some problem related to algorithm divergence and increasing the filter order. We have made a simulation of interior environment of KTX car by using three frequency bands of 120Hz, 280Hz, 360Hz as the most important for KTX ANC system. During this research the interior noise reduction of KTX car was made by using the multi-channel FXLMS algorithm. Reduction performance was evaluated and compared each other for open space section and tunnel section. in-situ experiment for the KTX noise reduction by proposed ANC was performed based on data obtained in simulation and they were compared for open space section and tunnel section as well.

자동차 환경에서의 단독 숫자음 및 명령어 인식 (Isolated Digit and Command Recognition in Car Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 DHMM(Discrete Hidden Markov Model) 기반의 음성 인식 시스템에서 소음에 강인한 인식 성능을 얻기 위하여, 관찰 확률 스무딩(observation probability smoothing) 방법을 제안하고, 자동차 소음하에서의 음성 인식에 적합한 소음처리 기법을 실험을 통해 제시한다. 제안된 관찰 확률 스무딩 방법은 입력되는 음성의 특징벡터가 소음에 오염되어 양자화(vector quantization) 과정에서 적절한 코드워드(codeword)가 아닌 다른 코드워드로 양자화됨으로써 발생하는 인식성능 저하를 막기 위하여, 각각의 코드워드와 거리가 가까운 코드워드들의 관찰 확률값을 높여주는 방법이다. 이 밖에 자동차 소음에 대한 대처 방안으로 특징 벡터의 거리 측정시의 리프터(lifter) 사용, 고역 통과 필터(high pass filter) 사용, 스펙트럴 차감법(spectral subtraction) 사용 등의 성능을 평가한다. 인식 실험은 자동차 정지 중과 주행 중의 두 가지 상황에서 녹음된 한국어 단독 숫자음과 명령어 14단어에 대해 수행하였으며, 정지 중 97.4%와 주행 중 59.1%의 인식률로부터, 제안된 관찰 확률 스무딩 방법과 리프터, 고역 통과 필터, 스팩트럴 차감법의 소음 처리 기법을 추가한 결과, 정지 중 98.3%와 주행 중 88.6%의 인식률을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • The interior sound pressure level of the Korean high speed train is predicted using ray acoustic method. The motor car, motorized car and passenger cabin are investigated under the environment of passing open countryside and inside tunnel Calculated sound levels of KHST are compared with the those of KTX prototype which vehicle shows similar acoustic behavior with KHST for the purpose of assuring the calculated data. In order to reduce the calculated SPL in systematic way, contribution analysis of sound sources and sensitivity analysis of concerning wall's transmission loss on the SPL of the designated receiving points are carried out. Finally, practical design suggestions are proposed.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of noise and vibration of high speed train is analyzed depending on its speed. The speed is a very important parameter because it can affect the interaction between the train and the environment as well as the characteristics of the train itself. To measure its characteristics, we analyzed the signals from microphones and accelerometers which were attached to the passenger car of the high speed train. The signals from each sensor were stored in the recorder, and then analyzed by using the signal processing program. The data from each sensor are analyzed with the spectrogram. From the spectrogram, we found some distinct characteristics of the passenger car. Also, the characteristics of the noise propagation were inferred from the spectrogram.

잡음에 강인한 음성인식을 위한 스펙트럼 보상 방법 (A Spectral Compensation Method for Noise Robust Speech Recognition)

  • 음성 인식 시스템의 용용에서 실제 문제점의 하나는 음성신호의 왜곡에 의한 인식성능의 저하이다. 음성신호의 왜곡에 가장 중요한 원인은 부가적인 잡음이다. 이 논문은 잡음에 강인한 음성인식을 위하여, 스펙트럼 피크 향상 기법과 효과적인 잡음 차감 기법에 기초한 스펙트럼 보상 방법을 기술한다. 제안한 방법은 음성 스펙트럼의 포먼트 구조를 향상시키고 스펙트럼 기울기를 보상하면서도 광 대역폭 스펙트럼 요소는 그대로 유지한다. 백색 가우스 잡음, 자동차 잡음, 음성 잡음 또는 지하철 잡음에 의해 왜곡된 음성을 이용한 인식실험을 수행한 결과, 새로운 방법은 스펙트럼 보상을 하지 않은 경우에 비해, 높은 SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) 환경에서는 평균 오인식율을 약간 줄였으며, 낮은 SNR(10 dB) 환경에서는 평균 오인식율을 1/2로 크게 줄였다.

A Study on the Design of Integrated Speech Enhancement System for Hands-Free Mobile Radiotelephony in a Car

  • This paper presents the integrated speech enhancement system for hands-free mobile communication. The proposed integrated system incorporates both acoustic echo cancellation and engine noise reduction device to provide signal enhancement of desired speech signal from the echoed plus noisy environments. To implement the system, a delayless subband adaptive structure is used for acoustic echo cancellation operation. The NLMS based adaptive noise canceller then applied to the residual echo removed noisy signal to achieve the selective engine noise attenuation in dominant frequency component. Two sets of computer simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system; one for the fixed acoustical environment condition, the other for the robustness of the system in which, more realistic situation, the acoustic transmission environment change. Simulation results confirm the system performance of 20-25dB ERLE in acoustic echo cancellation and 9-19 dB engine noise attenuation in dominant frequency component for both cases.

Speech Enhancement Using Level Adapted Wavelet Packet with Adaptive Noise Estimation

  • In this paper, a new speech enhancement method using level adapted wavelet packet is presented. First, we propose a level adapted wavelet packet to alleviate a drawback of the conventional node adapted one in noisy environment. Next, we suggest an adaptive noise estimation method at each node on level adapted wavelet packet tree. Then, for more accurate noise component subtraction, we propose a new estimation method of spectral subtraction weight. Finally, we present a modified spectral subtraction method. The proposed method is evaluated on various noise conditions: speech babble noise, F-l6 cockpit noise, factory noise, pink noise, and Volvo car interior noise. For an objective evaluation, the SNR test was performed. Also, spectrogram test and a very simple listening test as a subjective evaluation were performed.
