On the Tunneling, This paper described Concerning Nonel Caps and also Compared to Electric detonation Caps. If nonel caps used to Tunneling, advanced efficiency of Tunneling will be increased about 25% than Electric caps used.
A tool to evaluate the subjective wearing comfort of caps from the objective measurement of pressure was developed. Comfortable Fittability Index(C.F.I) and Holding Power(HP) were defined to represent the subjective wearing comfort of caps. As a preliminary step to define the Comfortable Fittability Index(C.F.I), average pressure, pressure distribution, standard deviation of pressure were obtained and subjective sensation were evaluated by wearing caps. Also Holding Power(HP) was estimated from wind tunnel testing. Two sets of caps were evaluated, one set made of elastic fabric(F-caps) and the other set made of non-elastic fabric(S-caps). F-caps begin to be taken off by the higher wind velocity and thus exhibited higher values of Holding Power. On the other hand, F-caps exerted lower average pressure, narrower pressure distribution, smaller standard deviation.
The application of metal caps has been continuously increased as real life are extended. Metal caps is usually made of aluminum and polyethylene(PE) as packing. Since metal caps contain 75% aluminum on a weight basis, metal caps may be a valuable source when these were properly recovered. The recovery methods of metal caps have mechanical peeling and incineration. However these are either hard to apply in some case or environmentally unacceptable. So in this investigation, recovery method of aluminum from metal caps was investigated using pyrolysis. The result shows that pyrolysis temperature and pyrolysis time was $450^{\circ}C$ and 120min. respectively. Also 100% of aluminum was recovered from metal caps. Heat content of recovered oil was high enough to use as a fuel representing 7,425.0, 7,793.1, 7,583.2, 7,726.2(cal/g). Heavy metal contens in the oil were under regulatory limit indicating.
This paper addresses some issues on the Northern Nigerian traditional garments and caps. We observed that most of the Northern Nigerian garments and caps, particularly those of the Kanuri people, have their origin in the culture and traditions of the people. In very significant ways, the garments and the caps depict the belief systems, political metaphysics, and the general consciousness of the people including their creative impulses. But as more and more people move from rural areas to the cities, travel abroad and as more and more cultures intermingle, inevitable changes catch up with the culture and tradition of the people. We observed that it is hard to find in the Northern Nigeria scene, particularly among the Kanuri people, clothes that have assumed new nomenclature other than garments and caps. We realized that, the culture and tradition of the Kanuri people wearing longer, voluminous and roomy garments preferably with cap have witnessed changes due to the blend with foreign culture. This and many other issues are discussed in this paper. The purpose of this research is to show that inspite of the Kanuri people's strong adherence to their beliefs and culture which hardly encourage any changes, the use of their traditional garments and caps have exhibited the flexibility of their beliefs, culture and traditions. The use of the garments and caps discussed in this paper are those observed among the Kanuri people of Northern Nigeria.
This study aimed to cross between Korean and Japanese pure lines of Neopyropia strains to establish cross breeding technology and identify a superior variety that harbors the strength of both parents. Four crossing combinations were tried using three methods, resulting in 1,476 single conchocelis colonies. The three co-dominant Cleaved Amplified Polymorphic Sequence (CAPS) markers (EF-1α/Mse I, TOP2/Mse I, car A/ApaL I) were used to distinguish heterozygotic sporophytes and their maternal lines obtained from the inter and intraspecific cross-fertilization within the wild type of Neopyropia strains. Of the 1,476 colonies, 26.9% (218) were heterozygotes obtained from the nuclear CAPS markers. Their maternal line was clearly confirmed using organelle CAPS marker and chimeric thallus was obtained from crossing experiment of Japanese N. yezoensis (♀) and Korean N. yezoensis (♂). The use of CAPS markers improved the efficiency of crossbreeding by quickly screening heterozygotes and maternal lines in the conchocelis phase, which otherwise required pigmentation mutants as genetic markers.
Deep pile caps usually contain no transverse shear reinforcement and only small percentages of longitudinal reinforcement. The current design procedures including ACI 318-02 for the pile caps do not provide engineers with a clear understanding of the physical behavior of deep pile caps. In this study, the failure strengths of nine pile cap specimens tested to failure were evaluated using 3-dimensional strut-tie models. The analysis results obtained from the present study were compared with those obtained from several design methods, and the validity of the present method implementing 3-dimensional strut-tie models was examined.
Engineers should be careful in the design of bonding piles into pile caps because they are weak points in the pile foundation. Therefore in this study, the mechanism of bonding piles into pile caps was explained, and the design method of the composite bonding method was proposed. And the proposed design method was verified in comparison with the result of the full scale test. Also, the characteristic for the bearing capacity and the mechanism of compressive load of bonding method were analyzed.
