Electrochemical Properties of LiNiyMn2-yO4 Prepared by the Solid-state Reaction

  • LiN $i_{y}$M $n_{2-y}$ $O_4$were synthesized by calcining a mixture of LiOH, Mn $O_2$(CMD), and NiO at 40$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 h and then calcining at 85$0^{\circ}C$ for 48 h in air with intermediate grinding. The voltage vs. discharge capacity curves at a current density 300 $\mu$A/c $m^2$ between 3.5 V and 4.3 V showed two plateaus, but the plateaus became ambiguous as the y value increases. The sample with y=0.02 had the largest first discharge capacity, 118.1 mAh/g. As the value y increases from 0.02 up to 0.2, on the whole, the cycling performance became better. The LiN $i_{0.10}$M $n_{1.90}$ $O_4$sample had a relatively large first discharge capacity 95.0 mAh/g and showed an excellent cycling performance. The samples with larger lattice parameter have, in general, larger discharge capacities. The reduction curves in the cyclic voltammograms for the y=0.05-0.20 samples exhibit three peak showing that the reduction may proceed in three stages in these samples. For the samples with relatively large discharge capacity, the lattice destruction induced by strain causes the capacity fading of LiN $i_{y}$M $n_{2-y}$ $O_4$ with cycling.cling.ing.

동재하시험을 이용한 모래지반의 말뚝지지력 산정 (Evaluation of Bearing Capacity of Piles in Sand Using Pile Driving Analyzer)

  • 말뚝재하시험방법 중 정적재하시험은 시험에 소요되는 시간과 비용측면에서 불리하여 이를 개선하기 위한 여러 가지의 시험방법이 개발되어 소개되고 있다. 국내에 소개된 시험방법으로는 동재하시험으로 불리는 항타분석기 (PDA : Pile Driving Analyzer)를 이용한 방법을 비롯하여 STATNAMIC. Osterberg cell등이 있다. 이들 중 동재하시험의 사용은 상당히 활성화되어 있는 실정이나 지반조건과 말뚝시공방법에 따라서는 지지력산정시 추가적인 해석모델을 사용하여야 보다 정확한 지지력을 평가 할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 현장에서 수행한 정적 및 동적 재하시험결과의 비교1분석으로 부터 주로 SIP말뚝에 대한 동재하시험시 발생할수 있는 기하감쇠(geometrical damping)의 영향을 고찰하였다. 해석결과로 부터 기하감쇠가 발생한 지반의 경우 CAPWAP에 의해 산정된 지지력이 정재하시험에 의한 지지력에 비해 30~60% 정도 과소평가 되었으며 이때 말뚝주면에 대한 Smith의 감쇠계수 (SSkn)가 1.0 sec/m를 초과 하였다. CAPWAP해석시 기하감쇠를 고려한 해석모델을 사용함으로써 정재하 시험결과와 근사한 지지력을 얻을 수 있었으며 SSkn값도 0.7sec/m이하의 일반적인 범위로 해석되었다.

지표면과 투수성 보도 블록의 침투능 결정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Determination of Infiltration Capacity of Ground Surface and Pervious Pedestrian Blocks)

  • 침투는 지표면에서 토양속으로 물이 침입하는 현상으로 지하수위 및 강우시 지표면 유출량에 영향을 미친다. 도시화가 진행됨에 따라 침투량은 감소한다. 이러한 침투량의 감소는 하천수량의 감소 또는 하천 건천화의 원인이 되기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 한경대학교 교내 3지점에서 침투량 측정을 통하여 침투능 및 누가침투량 관계식을 결정하였다. 침투량 실험용 투수성 보도블록을 3종류로 제작하여 지표면 3개 지점에서의 보도블록에 관한 침투능 및 누가침투량 관계식을 결정하였다. 3종류의 보도블록 중 하나의 침투능은 지표면 침투능과 거의 동일하게 관측되었다. 각 지점의 침투능 및 누가침투량 관계식은 Kostiakov 형식으로 유도하였다. Kostiakov 형의 종기침투능을 근거로 하여 Horton형 침투능 및 누가침투량을 결정하였다. 또한 Horton 형 침투능 관계식에서 토양의 종류를 반영하는 매개변수 값을 결정하고 토양의 종류를 추정하였다.

소프트 핸드오프를 갖는 셀룰러 CDMA 이동통신 시스템의 Erlang 용랑 (Erlang Capacity of Cellular CDMA Mobile Communication System with soft Handoff)

  • This paper presents an analysis of the capacity, the interference of adjacent cells of a CDMA cellular system, depending on the soft handoff region and log-normal shadowing. The optimum soft handoff region is chosen by using Erlang capacity. It is shown that when the soft handoff region increases, the Erlang capacity increase due to a reduction of the interference power of adjacent cells. But if the region is increased above a certain value, there is no improvement in the system’s capacity. Furthermore as the standard deviation of the log-normal shadowing's normal distribution factor increases, the soft handoff region has to be increased linearly to achieve the same Erlang capacity.

국토환경성평가 지표를 이용한 환경용량 산정모델 개발 (A Development of Environmental Capacity Estimation Model Using the National Environmental Assessment Indicators)

  • Land resources should be managed not only for human utilizations but also for environmental preservation. Based on that, environmental capacity should be estimated in both environmental and developmental ways. This study was performed for developing an estimation model for relative environmental capacity, considering both Development Tolerance Index(DTI), which shows environmental and ecological conservation value and is based on national environmental assessment indicators of the Korea Ministry of Environment, and Development Attractiveness Index(DAI), which shows topographical characteristics and geographical accessibility. The relative environmental capacity in this study can be helpful to coping with the conflict in planning and managing the use of land resources. The relative environmental capacity in this study, however, did not include either environmental or ecological sensitivity of land resources. This limitation should be solved through further research.

혼합냉매를 사용한 열펌프 시스템의 성능과 열전달 특성 (Performance and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Heat Pump System Using Refrigerant Mixtures)

  • A heat pump system is constructed to evaluate its performance and heat transfer characteristics with mixtures of R22/R142b as working fluids. The heat transfer in the evaporator and the overall performance are measured and analyzed in terms of the compositions and relevant variables. Possibility of capacity modulation by changing composition is observed without degradation of heat transfer coefficients and coefficient of performance. The cooling capacity is varied continuously within 200 percent based on minimum capacity at constant compressor speed. For similar cooling capacity, COP is improved by mixing two refrigerants and shows maximum value at 60% mass fraction of R22. Average heat transfer coefficients of mixtures decrease in comparison with pure refrigerants at similar cooling capacity and mass flow rate. However, the overall heat transfer coefficients decrease moderately. A cycle simulation is performed in order to manifest the advantages of using refrigerant mixtures, considering experimentally observed heat transfer characteristics.

  • An experimental study using a psychrometric calorimeter was conducted to investigate the temperature and pressure mea surement errors permitted for determining cooling capacity of an air conditioner. First, the instrument calibration was made in accordance with the related test methods and guidelines in order to accurately evaluate basic performance (cooling capacity and airs flow rate). Secondly, a parametric study was performed to examine the effect of measurement error involved if temperature and pressure measuring instruments on the cooling capacity calculation. From the results, it was found that the degree of accuracy for both temperature and pressure measurements played an important role on the error occurring in the determination of cooling capacity and needed to be maintained within a certain value to guarantee required accuracy of cooling capacity.

  • Effects of different heat treatments on microstructure and damping capacity of Cu-55%Mn alloy were investigated to find an optimum heat treatment condition for a maximum damping capacity. The alloy showed the high level of damping capacity in case of the aging at 375 and $400^{\circ}C$. This is ascribed to the FCC${\rightarrow}$FCT martensitic transformation and microstructural changes from mottled to tweed band type. The damping capacity had a maximum value of 0.33 in logarithmic decrement when the alloy was aged at $375^{\circ}C$ for 14 hours followed by 20 times of thermal cycling between room temperature and $250^{\circ}C$. The refinement of tweed structure by thermal cycling is thought to be responsible for the highest damping capacity.

  • This paper has calculated DSM's latent capacity through a survey investigating electric arc furnaces in over 2,000 toe companies and related organizations. The latent capacity of DSM calculated with the same time load factor is considered in this paper. The time load factor depends on the probability of each electric arc furnace of the value to work and the consideration of experts and technician's experience. Also, this paper verifies the reliability and application of unposed capacity which compared the old latent capacity of Load Management with KEMCO and KEPCO's Direct Load Control gathering capacity.

  • Static characteristics of hemispherical aerodynamic bearing is studied theoretically. In this paper nonlinear equation of second order considering compressibility and slip effect of air is calculated by Newton-Raphson method. Results indicate that axial load capacity has maximum value when the inclination angle of groove is about 30$\circ$, the ratio of groove clearance to ridge clearance is two. We also present the design method of hemispherical Aerodynamic bearing based on it's load capacity taking into account manufacturing and assembling viewpoint.
