A Study on Vibration Characteristics of Helical Gear Pairing (헬리컬 기어시스템의 진동특성 연구)

  • The vibrational model of a helical gear pair is developed with considering the elastic deformation of the active teeth and the body to be a rigid. The main source of vibration in geared system which has been known to be the gear transmission error is mathematically formulated and used for the analysis of vibrational characteristics of geared system. As an example, a simple geared system containing a helical gearing is considered. The critical speeds are found by the campbell diagram and compared with the experimental results.

  • At the fuel processing system (FPS) of fuel cell vehicle, hydrogen recirculation blower (HRB) is used for the recirculation of remained hydrogen after reaction. In this paper, noise and vibration improvement of HRB is studied by changing design and control. It is checked the campbell diagram and critical speed for stability of rotor, and housing stiffness is improved using simulation of frequency response function (FRF). A method is suggested that can decrease the unbalance amount of the rotor and impeller which main source of noise and vibration. In order to reduce the noise during deceleration of blower, electrical braking is applied and tested the risk impact of durability. Founded the optimum switching frequency of the motor control, and reduced the idle rpm by increasing of aerodynamic performance. The superiority of paper is proved by measurement of the improved product's noise and vibration.

Effect of Atmosphere Sterilization Using Acidic Electrolyzed Water on Storage Quality and Microbial Growth in Grapes (전해산성수에 의한 저장기체살균이 포도의 품질특성과 부패균 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of storage atmosphere sterilization using acidic electrolyzed water for table grapes (Vitis labrusca L.). ‘Campbell Early’ and ‘Sheridan’ grapes were stored at $0^{\circ}C$ for 12 weeks under the atmosphere that was passed through an acidic electrolyzed water for sterilization. Storage atmosphere sterilization using acidic electrolyzed water did not influence on the changes in soluble solids, titratable acidity, soluble tannins, anthocyanins, ethanol, acetaldehyde and organoleptic quality attributes including color, aroma, texture, juiciness and sweetness of both varieties during storage. Growth of bacteria and fungus in grapes during storage, however, was inhibited by storage atmosphere sterilization. These results suggest that the storage atmosphere sterilization using acidic electrolyzed water can be utilized for improving the storage life of table grapes.

In Vitro Propagation of Persimmon(Diospyros kaki) by Embryo Culture (감나무의 배 배양법에 의한 기내 증식)

  • The embryos(6-8mm) isolated from seeds of Diospyros kaki were cultured on Murashlge-Skoog(MS), Woody Plant Medium(WPM), Campbell Durzen(CD), Lictvay's Medium(LM), Kao-Michaluk(KM), Nitsch, White, Heller, Wolter-Skoog(WS) media. The results showed that MS and WPM media were most suitable to the development of embryos into plantlets with length of $5.4{\pm}1.2 cm$ and 5-6 leaves. However, when LM and KM media were used, the addition of 1 to $2{\mu} moles/\ell GA_3$ was required for the germination of the embryos. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities, one of the changing factors in leaves according to physiological status displayed to be exceptionally significant in the leaves of plantlets germinated from seeds in potting sand soil contrary to those of cultured embryos specially around germination period.

  • This paper described the characteristic of vibration in wind turbine system including gearbox housing, gear drive, blade, generator. Especially, in planetary gear set, planet gears are supported by flexible pin. So, in planet gear, to consider not only torsional movement but also lateral movement. And include housing movement, because wind turbine system is supported by mount. To find out the characteristic of vibration, take the excitation source and study campbell diagram in operating range. Results of campbell diagram, resonances are occurred at 81.2HZ, 104.7Hz by 2nd tooth passing frequency. And resonance are also occurred at 264.5HZ, 377Hz, 424.6Hz by 3th tooth passing frequency. From the result, take vibration reduced measures.

Visualization research based on hero tale stories in a fantasy movie (영웅서사구조 중심으로 하는 판타지영화의 시각화 연구)

  • The digital contents industry already heads toward the OSMU(One Source Multi Use) method of media. In case the success of the original novel recreates to a movie, the success of a movie is again noticed with the original novel. For this reason, a novel and movie are open at the same time, In this paper, we analyze through the case study of three fantasy films having the narrative structure of the germane myth : The Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, The Chronicles Of Narnia based on the analysis basis : Hero's Journey 12 steps by J. Campbell, The analysis of scenes of each film visualizing the narrative structure of a novel can be used as the basic materials in the process of visualizing the scale of the original and message of a writer, we consequently believe that these analysis will be able to be applied the appropriate visual techniques (the special effect, the scene tractions, and etc.)in visualization of films.

Effect on Wine Quality of Pre-treatment of Grapes prior to Alcohol Fermentation (포도주 품질에 미치는 알코올 발효전 포도 전처리 효과)

  • This study was conducted to determine the influence of heating and carbonic maceration (CM) pre-treatments prior to alcohol fermentation on wine quality from the main Korean grape variety, Campbell Early. Wine fermented with CM treatment had lower total acidity than control and heated wines. Wine fermented with heat treatment contained higher concentrations of anthocyanin and tannin than control wines, while CM-treated wine had the lowest concentrations. The red coloration of the wine was highly correlated with the polyphenol content, as a high content of anthocyanin and tannin resulted in increased red color intensity. The significant differences found in wine quality as a consequence of the use of pre-treatment techniques (heating and CM treatments) suggest their potential application in wine making.

Prediction of Dormancy Release and Bud Burst in Korean Grapevine Cultivars Using Daily Temperature Data (기온자료에 근거한 주요 포도품종의 휴면해제 및 발아시기 추정)

  • An accurate prediction of dormancy release and bud burst in temperate zone fruit trees is indispensable for farmers to plan heating time under partially controlled environments as well as to reduce the risk of frost damage in open fields. A thermal time-based two-step phenological model that originated in Italy was applied to two important grapevine cultivars in Korea for predicting bud-burst dates. The model consists of two sequential periods: a rest period described by chilling requirement and a forcing period described by heating requirement. It requires daily maximum and minimum temperature as an input and calculates daily chill units (chill days in negative sign) until a pre-determined chilling requirement for rest release is met. After the projected rest release date, it adds daily heat units (anti-chill days in positive sign) to the chilling requirement. The date when the sum reaches zero isregarded as the bud-burst in the model. Controlled environment experiments using field sampled twigs of 'Campbell Early' and 'Kyoho' cultivars were carried out in the vineyard at the National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI) in Suwon during 2004-2005 to derive the model parameters: threshold temperature for chilling and chilling requirement for breaking dormancy. The model adjusted with the selected parameters was applied to the 1994-2004 daily temperature data obtained from the automated weather station in the NHRI vineyard to estimate bud burst dates of two cultivars and the results were compared with the observed data. The model showed a consistently good performance in predicting the bud burst of 'Campbell Early' and 'Kyoho' cultivars with 2.6 and 2.5 days of root mean squared error, respectively.
