In this study, the performance of a DPRMs is evaluated and the measurement precision for the pile driving is presented. The DPRMs is a visual-measurement system for the pile rebound and the penetration movement using a high speed line-scan camera. The DPRMs generates the measurement deviation. It is caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. To reduce it, the vibration signal analysis about the pile driving is performed. As a result, it is confirmed that the tilting frequency of a camera-tripod structure corresponding to excitation frequency range of the ground is under 40Hz. Through the structure modification, the camera-tripod structure is redesigned to the model being free itself from the excitation frequency range of the ground. By the verification testing about the improvement effects, it is inspected that the tilting and measurement deviation of the redesigned DPRMs are reduced.

The Electro-optical camera subsystem as a payload of a satellite system consists of OM (optical module) and CEU(camera electronics unit), and most performances of the camera subsystem depend a lot on the CEU in which TDI CCDs(Time Delayed Integration Charge Coupled Device) take the main role of imaging by converting the light intensity into measurable voltage signal. Therefore it is required to specify and design the CEU very carefully at the early stage of development with overall specifications, design considerations, calibration definition, test methods for key performance parameters. This paper describes the overview of CEU development. It lists key requirement characteristics of CEU hardware and design considerations. It also describes what kinds of calibration are required for the CEU and defines the test and evaluation conditions in verifying requirement specifications of the CEU, which are used during acceptance test, considering the fact that CEU performance results change a lot depending on test and evaluation conditions such as operational line rate, TDI level, and light intensity level, so on.

This paper focuses on the implementation of an efficient tracking method of a moving object using optimal representative blocks by way of a pan-tilt camera. The key idea is derived from the fact that when the image size of a moving object is shrunk in an image frame according to the distance between the mobile robot camera and the object in motion, the tracking performance of a moving object can be improved by reducing the size of representative blocks according to the object image size. Motion estimations using Edge Detection (ED) and Block-Matching Algorithm (BMA) are regularly employed to track objects by vision sensors. However, these methods often neglect the real-time vision data since these schemes suffer from heavy computational load. In this paper, a representative block able to significantly reduce the amount of data to be computed, is defined and optimized by changing the size of representative blocks according to the size of the object in the image frame in order to improve tracking performance. The proposed algorithm is verified experimentally by using a two degree-of- freedom active camera mounted on a mobile robot.
Recently, various types of camera mouse are developed using the image processing. The camera mouse showed limited performance compared to the traditional optical mouse in terms of the response time and the usability. These problems are caused by the mismatch between the size of the monitor and that of the active pixel area of the CMOS Image Sensor. To overcome these limitations, we designed a new input device that uses the face recognition as well as the speech recognition simultaneously. In the proposed system, the area of the monitor is partitioned into 'n' zones. The face recognition is performed using the web-camera, so that the mouse pointer follows the movement of the face of the user in a particular zone. The user can switch the zone by speaking the name of the zone. The multimodal mouse is analyzed using the Keystroke Level Model and the initial experiments was performed to evaluate the feasibility and the performance of the proposed system.

Tolerance analysis is one of the most important processes to improve the image quality of products. High resolution camera module for mobile phones needs precision assembly technology since the module becomes smaller and thinner. This paper will focus on the unit tolerance and the assembly tolerance which can affect the performance of the module. Lens shading and relative illumination were used to evaluate the optical axis scatter for each component on camera and estimate the assembly yield rate based on the evaluation result. A program was developed to analyze the impact on optical axis by each module, then to optimize the dimensions and tolerance for reducing the scatter of optical axis assembly. Through the simulation, though a rate of relative illumination was declined in where optical axis is displaced $100{\mu}m$ from sensor center, MTF performance is not influenced by increasing in optical axis displacement. It was seen that assembly yield was improved in result of simulation after correcting optical axis tolerance.
A wide variety of applications of imaging spectrometer have been proved using data from airborne systems. The Compact Airborne Imaging Spectrometer System (CAISS) was jointly designed and developed as the airborne hyperspectral imaging system by Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and ELOP inc., Israel. The primary mission of the CAISS is to acquire and provide full contiguous spectral information with high spatial resolution for advanced applications in the field of remote sensing. The CAISS consists of six physical units; the camera system, the gyro-stabilized mount, the jig, the GPS/INS, the power inverter and distributor, and the operating system. These subsystems are to be tested and verified in the laboratory before the flight. Especially the camera system of the CAISS has to be calibrated and validated with the calibration equipments such as the integrating sphere and spectral lamps. To improve data quality and its availability, it is the most important to understand the mechanism of imaging spectrometer system and the radiometric and spectral characteristics. The several performance tests of the CAISS were conducted in the camera system level. This paper presents the major characteristics of the CAISS, and summarizes the results of performance tests in the camera system level.
The purpose of this study is to perform radiation monitoring by acquiring gamma images and real-time optical images for 99mTc vial source using charge couple device (CCD) cameras equipped with the proposed compact gamma camera. The compact gamma camera measures 86×65×78.5 mm3 and weighs 934 g. It is equipped with a metal 3D printed diverging collimator manufactured in a 45 field of view (FOV) to detect the location of the source. The circuit's system uses system-on-chip (SoC) and field-programmable-gate-array (FPGA) to establish a good connection between hardware and software. In detection modules, the photodetector (multi-pixel photon counters) is tiled at 8×8 to expand the activation area and improve sensitivity. The gadolinium aluminium gallium garnet (GAGG) measuring 0.5×0.5×3.5 mm3 was arranged in 38×38 arrays. Intrinsic and extrinsic performance tests such as energy spectrum, uniformity, and system sensitivity for other radioisotopes, and sensitivity evaluation at edges within FOV were conducted. The compact gamma camera can be mounted on unmanned equipment such as drones and robots that require miniaturization and light weight, so a wide range of applications in various fields are possible.
CNC tools contribute to the production of high-precision and consistent results. However, employing damaged CNC tools or utilizing compromised numerical control can lead to significant issues, including equipment damage, overheating, and system-wide errors. Typically, the assessment of external damage to CNC tools involves capturing a single viewpoint through a camera to evaluate tool wear. This study aims to enhance existing methods by using only a single manually focused Microscope camera to enable comprehensive external analysis from multiple perspectives. Applying the NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) algorithm to images captured with a single manual focus microscope camera, we construct a 3D rendering system. Through this system, it is possible to generate scenes of areas that cannot be captured even with a fixed camera setup, thereby assisting in the analysis of exterior features. However, the NeRF model requires considerable training time, ranging from several hours to over two days. To overcome these limitations of NeRF, various subsequent models have been developed. Therefore, this study aims to compare and apply the performance of Instant NGP, Mip-NeRF, and DS-NeRF, which have garnered attention following NeRF.
