Many taxis called "Mobum" in Seoul are empty and waiting along the curb during the day time. However, it is almost impossible for elderly and handicapped people, and women carrying babies to use them .It is because they can not serve passengers who request services by phone. If taxis, expecially "Mobum" taxis which offer high quality services, can be dispatched based on requests by phone, not only elderly and handicapped people but also auto commuters will easily call and use them. This paper shows a taxi dispatching system. The system minimizes the total empty vehicle hours under given number of empty vehicles and passengers and their locations. As a result, the system maximizes number of services and revenue under given number of taxis. The system adopts a well -known linear programming model and the model can fast and easily be solved by PC level linear programming packages. Also, practical solutions of the system's constraints such as size and travel time forecast are discussed.ecast are discussed.

One of the key issues in mobile communication system is how to predict the number of calls per each cell. It is an important parameter and usually assumed as random Poisson value. For effective management of cellular network, the average number of calls should be traced and the changes in the numbers need to be promptly detected. In this paper we propose an algorithm detecting the changes in the demands of the users using the technique proposed for point-of-change problem based only on the number of call arrivals. Computer simulation reveals that the proposed method can effectively detect the discord, and the developed model is very accurate as showing mostly less than 1% differences.

콜센터 성과평가 및 인적자원 관리는 상담원의 개인적, 사회적 특성을 고려하지 않고 해결 콜 수에만 의존적으로 평가되고 있다. 그러나 콜센터는 대부분 업무가 고객과의 공동 문제해결에 기반하고 있어 상담원의 개인적 역량 및 사회적 역량이 업무성과에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서 본 연구는 콜센터 상담원을 대상으로 개인적 역량 및 조직 내 사회적 특성이 업무 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 콜센터 성과평가 및 상담원의 채용관리에 도움을 주고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 RGT를 이용하여 개인적 특성을 도출하였고, 네트워크 분석을 통해 사회적 관계를 분석하였다. RGT와 네트워크 분석을 통해 도출된 변수를 바탕으로 회수실적과의 상관계수가 높은 항목을 선정한 후 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 회식망 내향 중앙성, 업무 적극성, 개방적 성향, 배우는 것을 즐기는 성향의 네 가지 특성이 회수실적에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 콜센터 상담원 성과평가 뿐 아니라 상담원의 채용 및 관리에도 의미있는 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

인터넷전화에서의 SMS 번호이동 서비스를 위한 네트워크 구성은 인터넷전화 사용자가 SMS를 사용하는데 편의성을 제고하는 필수적인 사항이다. 인터넷전화 SMS 번호이동 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 SMSC 시스템의 경우 번호이동 가입자의 DB 처리 및 가입자 관리 기능이 요구된다. 타망 및 SMSC 연동을 위한 SMSG 시스템의 경우에는 NPDB(Number Portability DB)와 연동으로 번호를 이동한 가입자의 호처리 기능이 필요하다. 본고는 인터넷전화에서 번호 이동된 가입자에게 SMS서비스를 제공하기 위한 주요 번호이동 기술을 분석하고 적용하여 효율적인 망 구성방안에 대해 제시한다.

This letter proposes a handover ranging power adjustment scheme to improve handover performance. Incorrect ranging power can degrade handover performance due to the increased handover latency; therefore, the proposed scheme exploits the uplink channel information to adjust the uplink handover ranging power. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme reduces call outage probability by 33% compared to that of the conventional scheme. It also improves the number of users who satisfy the system requirements for handover interruption time.

NATM becomes one of the major methods of tunnel construction, such as that of subways and highways. However, a number of design and construction problems have been noticed and reported from the recent large-scale tunnelling projects. Some of them are presented and discussed in this report in order to call an attention to these problems and provide a sound basis for the improvement of current problems.

Video segmentation is an essential part in region-based video coding and any other fields of the video processing. Among lots of methods proposed so far, the watershed method in which the region growing is performed for the gradient image can produce well-partitioned regions globally without any influence on local noise and extracts accurate boundaries. But, it generates a great number of small regions, which we call over segmentation problem. Therefore we proposes image segmentation improvement by selective application structuring element of mathematical morphology.

Enormous instruments have been installed to measure movement and stresses during and after the construction of Seoul Subway. 본 논문은 Wibro가 제공하는 VoIP 서비스의 번호이동성에 따르는 호처리 시스템, 즉 Wibro와 이동전화간, Wibro와 유선 인터넷전화간, Wibro와 시내전화간 번호이동성을 처리하기 위한 망의 기능구조 및 정보흐름을 규정한다. 본 논문에서는 번호이동성 요구사항에 따라, 소요되는 번호이동성 시스템의 구조와 망기능 및 시스템 기능을 정의하고, 이들 기능간에 주고받는 정보를 규정한다.

Let p be an odd prime number. We introduce simple and useful decoding algorithm for orthogonal Latin square codes of order p. Let H be the parity check matrix of orthogonal Latin square code. For any x ${\in}$ GF(p)$^{n}$, we call xH$^{T}$ the syndrome of x. This method is based on the syndrome decoding for linear codes. In L$_{p}$, we need to find the first and the second coordinates of codeword in order to correct the errored received vector.
