In this study we aimed to enhance streamflow prediction skill of a land-surface hydrological model, WRF-Hydro, over one of the snow dominated catchments lies in Himalayan mountainous range, Astore. To assess the response of the Himalayan river flows to climate change is complex due to multiple contributors: precipitation, snow, and glacier melt. WRF-Hydro model with default glacier module lacks generating streamflow in summer period but recently developed WRF-Hydro-CROCUS model overcomes this issue by melting snow/ice from the glaciers. We showed that by implementing WRF-Hydro-CROCUS model over Astore the results were significantly improved in comparison to WRF-Hydro with default glacier module. To constraint the model with the observed streamflow we chose 17 sensitive parameters of WRF-Hydro, which include groundwater parameters, surface runoff parameters, channel parameters, soil parameters, vegetation parameters and snowmelt parameters. We used Dynamically Dimensioned Search (DDS) method to calibrate the daily streamflow with the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) being greater than 0.7 both in calibration (2009-2010) and validation (2011-2013) period. Based on the number of iterations per parameter, we found that the parameters related to channel and runoff process are most sensitive to streamflow. The attempts to address the responses of the streamflows to climate change are still very weak and vague especially northwest Himalayan Part of Pakistan and this study is one of a few successful applications of process-based land-surface hydrologic model over this mountainous region of UIB that can be utilized to have an in-depth understanding of hydrological responses of climate change.
Software tools for manual 3D projection mapping have been widely used in theme parks and exhibitions. However, no research has been conducted on detailed utilization methods and usability of those tools yet. This study organizes the entire process of manual 3D projection mapping step by step and analyzes the problems that occurred at each step to identify potential improvements of 3D projection mapping tools. First, we introduce the process, which includes: two methods for creating virtual-physical object pairs to construct a virtual environment that is identical to the real-world target of the 3D projection mapping, the production of video textures for special effects, and mapping methods that use semi-automatic projector calibration. In addition, through experiments comparing and analyzing two widely used tools under various conditions for 3D mapping, we identified the technical limitations, performance differences between tools, and issues that impede usability. Finally, we suggest improvements and future research directions to enhance the usability of the 3D projection mapping technology.

Quantitative analysis of the Zingiber Officinale sample using subcritical water extraction (SWE) was developed employing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to bolster the advancement of this innovative green extraction process. This research focuses on three principal ginger bioactive compounds: 6-gingerol, 6-shagoal, and 10-gingerol. Various stages were undertaken to establish the quantitative analysis method, encompassing the optimisation of HPLC operating conditions and the formulation of standard calibration curves, yielding individual compound equations. A robust correlation within the calibration curve was achieved, exhibiting an r2 value of 0.9814 and an RSD of 5.00%. A simultaneous, swift, and dependable method was established with an injection time of 20 minutes and an 8-minute delay between injections, in contrast to the previous HPLC analysis requiring a 45-minute injection time for detecting and quantifying all components. Notably, no post-treatment was applied after the SWE process. This advancement allows for potential future online measurement of Zingiber Officinale bioactive compounds extracted using subcritical water extraction through this technology.

A 1.8V $650{\;}\textrm{mm}^2$ 4Gb DRAM having $0.10{\;}\mu\textrm{m}^2$ cell size has been successfully developed using 0.11 $\mu\textrm{m}$DRAM technology. Considering manufactur-ability, we have focused on developing patterning technology using KrF lithography that makes $0.11{\;}\mu\textrm{m}$ DRAM technology possible. Furthermore, we developed novel DRAM technologies, which will have strong influence on the future DRAM integration. These are novel oxide gap-filling, W-bit line with stud contact for borderless metal contact, line-type storage node self-aligned contact (SAC), mechanically stable metal-insulator-silicon (MIS) capacitor and CVD Al process for metal inter-connections. In addition, 80 nm array transistor and sub-80 nm memory cell contact are also developed for high functional yield as well as chip performance. Many issues which large sized chip often faces are solved by novel design approaches such as skew minimizing technique, gain control pre-sensing scheme and bit line calibration scheme.
A smart pressure measurement system is described, which provides a precise A/D conversion and is highly suitable for communication with microprocessors. In order to avoid unstable problems of remote pressure sensing we have developed a new interface board which performs the A/D conversion and smart signal processing of the measured pressure data. Serial communication software which is based on ASCII code commands is also developed to process initial setup and calibration functions as well as multi-drop communication with PC. The test and evaluation of the proposed system has been shown as having the better performance compared to the other types of existing pressure measuring systems and will give good applications to the industrial use where a highly precision remote sensing is needed.
We used a three-dimensional inductance extraction program, Fasthenry for optimal design of the spiral inductors on silicon substrate. The inductance and quality factor of the spiral inductors with various design parameters were calculated so that the optimal parameter value was determined. The spiral inductors then were fabricated using different foundary processes and were measured using the network analyzer and microwave probes. The pad and other parasitics of measurement system were de-embedded using the y-parameter calibration technique. the inductors fabricated using the LG 0.8um process and HP 0.5um process showed the quality factor of 5.8 and 3, respectively. Finally the equivalent circuit farameters of the spiral inductors on silicon substrate were extracted from the measurement data using the matlab.

To reconstruct the complete 3-D shape of an object, seveal range images form different viewpoints should be merged into a single model. The process of extraction of the transformation parameters between multiple range views is calle dregistration. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to find the transformation parameters between multiple range views. Th eproposed algorithm consists of two step: initial estimation and iteratively update the transformation. To guess the initial transformation, we modify the principal axes by considering the projection effect, due to the difference fo viewpoints. Then, the following process is iterated: in order to extract the exact transformation parameters between the range views: For every point of the common region, find the nearest point among the neighborhood of the current corresponding point whose correspondency is defined by the reverse calibration of the range finder. Then, update the transformation to satisfy the new correspondencies. In order to evaluate the performance the proposed registration algorithm, some experiments are performed on real range data, acquired by space encoding range finder. The experimental results show that the proposed initial estimation accelerate the following iterative registration step.

An air-fuel ratio control is essential in reducing hazardous exhaust emissions from a compressed natural gas(CNG) engine, and can be accomplished by accurate control of gas injection flow. In this study, theoretical research was conducted on injection characteristics of a solenoid gas injector, and injection experiments for calibration and analysis were performed. Various factors for gas injection flow such as injection pressure, gas temperature, and supply voltage are studied. A dynamic flow equation of the natural gas was proposed on the basis of flow dynamics theories and results of the injection experiment. The verification of the dynamic flow equation of the solenoid injector was carried out with a large CNG-engine applied to an urban bus. Air-fuel ratio control experiments were conducted in both steady and transient state. Results of injection experiments for the solenoid injector and the CNG-engine was proved the control method proposed herein to be effective.

The interface heat transfer coefficient was measured for non-isothermal bulk forming of Ti-6Al-4V. FE analysis and experiments were conducted. Equipment consisting of AISI H13 die was instrumented with thermocouples located at sub-surface of the bottom die. Die temperature changes were investigated in related to the process variables such as reduction, lubricant and initial die temperature. The calibration approach based on heat conduction and FE analysis using an inverse algorithm were used to evaluate the interface heat transfer between graphite-lubricated die and glass-coated workpiece. The coefficients determined determined were affected mainly by the contact pressure. The validation of the coefficients was made by the comparison between experimental data and FE analysis results.

The solution way of color difference in display device is using a device profile recorded with color dimension, color properties of each device and is using sRGB color space. The color matching is better sRGB than RGB color space. The sRGB is independent device color space and based on the monitor characteristice. An accurate characterization of the display device is essential for color matching. The calibration and characterization process in display device is needed to transform the device dependent color to the device independent color. The process of characterization performs a linerizaiton and transforms the linearized values into the CIE XYZ tristimulus values. The purposes of this paper is to estimate color reproduction using device profile and to explain the propriety of transformation method using variable.
