XLPE 전력용 케이블 시편의 열화에 따른 분류 (Classification of Degradation Process with XLPE Cable Specimen)

  • In this paper, Neural Networks is studied for estimation of XLPE cable specimen according to degradation. And these data making use of a computer-aided discharge analyser, a combination of statistical and discharge parameter was calculated to discrimination processing stage of degradation. NN has not bad recognition rate result of discrimination for degradation stage because discharge characteristics are very similar to between degradation stage. So, there is some improvement for applied NN.

  • The cable degradation process is largely divided into three steps; Step 1 : Thermal degradation, Step 2 : Weibull degradation, Step 3 : Partial discharge. it is progress in step order. This article aims to explain the process of cable degradation using the method of insulation resistance and accordingly to compose and manufacture a system of measuring the life of electrical cable. Before measuring the insulation resistance, a system of measuring the temperature and current of cables was made, and the established system was installed for test on the site of a power plant to collect the measured data. The current sensor was used TFC30P80A-CL420, and temperature sensor was used the DK-1270 PT100 sensor as RTD sensor. When measured the temperature and the load current at the same position, was confirmed that in case of the load current value was high, also temperature value high. Therefore, the correlation between load currents and temperature was verified, and the analysis of diagnostic data was evaluated, which could be utilized in identifying the fault condition of cable systems.

  • In order to improve the reliability of XLPE cables, it is necessary to understand the mechanism of electrical and water tree degradation. Especially, electrical tree initiation and propagation are important in XLPE cable insulation. This paper deals with the changes of electrical properties of XLPE cable insulation with electrical tree degradation. To understand the electrical properties of XLPE insulation, specimens were prepared by 22.9kV distribution cable and made in a type of block. Ogura needles having tip radius of 10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ were inserted into each block pieces. AC voltages of 8kV, 10kV and 12kV at 60Hz were applied to needle. We investigated the relationship between electrical properties(PD quantity, tan$\delta$ and DC current) and the growth of electrical tree. The electrical properties of the specimens were measured from initiation of tree to breakdown and their characteristics were analyzed.

Hydrolytic Stability of Sulfonic Acid-Containing Polyimides for Fuel Cell Membranes

  • The long-term stability of sulfonic acid-containing polyimides has been investigated. The hydrolytic degradation of homopolyimide and the block copolyimide comprising $27\;mol\%$ of 2,2'-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzidine and $9\;mol\%$ of m-phenylenediamine (BTFMB27mPl0[7/(3+1)]), was quantified through viscosity measurements and FT-IR spectroscopic analyses. The viscosity decrease with respect to time and the degradation rate were similar. The degrees of degradation with respect to time under ambient conditions and at elevated temperature in water were monitored by FT-IR spectroscopy. A new absorption peak was observed at $1786\;cm^{-1},$ which we corresponds to the presence of anhydride end groups formed by hydrolytic scission of the imide rings.

  • Superconducting power cable is one of the most promising energy application of high-T$\sub$2/ superconductor(HTS). Thus we investigated previously the electrical and mechanical characteristics on Bi-2223 Ag sheathed tape. And a prototype HTS cable have been designed constructed and tested. In case of 19-filament type transport losses agree with the results of norris theory(strip). The critical current of HTS cable(1, 19-filament) in LN$_2$was 116[A], 240[A] and degradation coefficient(k) was 0.71, 0.73 respectively. In case of 19-filament cable critical current was decreased because of mechanical strain at pitch. And AC loss of HTS cable(19-filament) was 0.7 [W/m] in 240[A] loading

  • 고전압 CV 케이블은 편의성과 도시적 미관으로 인해 지하에 널리 설치되고 있습니다. 그러나 케이블 사고는 조립불량과 자연 열화로 인해 자주 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고전압 케이블 접속부의 최적 진단을 위한 다변수 측정 방법을 제안하고 그 기술적 유용성을 검증한다. 다변수 측정은 부분방전과 함께 진동과 열화상을 동시에 사용하여 케이블 연결 부품의 성능 저하를 진단하기 위한 기술이다. 다변수 측정의 유용성을 확인하기 위해 차폐 실험실에서 가속열화 실험을 수행하였고, 실험은 케이블 접속부의 열화를 12가지 유형으로 정의하여 각 열화 샘플을 제작하였다. 실험 결과, 진동신호 방법은 열화 진행과의 상관관계가 있는 결함 종류를 확인할 수 있었다. 열화상 검사의 경우 일부 결함의 진행과 관련하여 일관성이 발견되었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방법은 현장에서 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Recently, there has been a surge in interest in equipment diagnosis and monitoring technology from the perspective of providing quality electricity in terms of reliability and safety. In order to meet the electrical demands of consumers, reliability of power supply needs to be maintained. For this purpose, a monitoring system for power cable is very important. Since real-time measuring equipment has many advantages, it is highly applicable. By measuring the load current and the surface temperature of power cables, we have monitored and identified the deterioration phenomena of power cables in operation. Since direct measurement of the cable conductor temperature is not easy, we have measured the surface temperature instead, and converted that temperature to obtain the conductor temperature of the cables. In addition, we have designed a system to detect the deterioration processes of the power cables in operation.

  • Diagnosis of cable insulation degradation has important meaning from a viewpoint of reliability enhancement of CV cable systems. So, we diagnosed 3.3kV & 6.6kV CV distribution cable on live-line which is judged to a most poor installation condition because they have been used in water condition after installation at the Yeochon chemical complex. The paper describes the analysis of the measured data, the problems at diagnosis, and the items which are considered at the development of diagnosis technology and equipment hearafter.

원전 케이블 화재 열속평가 및 열화 진단방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat-Flux Evaluation for Cable Fire Including Diagnostic Methodology for Degradation in Nuclear Power Plants)

  • The fire event occurred in fire proof zone often causes serious electrical problems such as shorts, ground faults, or open circuits in nuclear power plants. These would be directed to the loss of safe shutdown capabilities performed by safety related systems and equipments. The fire event can treat the basic design principle that safety systems should keep their functions with redundancy and independency. In case of a multi-core cable fire, operators can not perform their mission properly and can misjudge the situation because of spurious operation, wrong indication or instrument. These would deteriorate the plant capabilities of safety shutdown and make disastrous conditions. In this paper, the characteristic of cable fire is investigated and the heat-flux evaluation for cable fire is studied. Moreover, a diagnostic methodology for degraded cable in nuclear power plants is presented.
