Performances of VSI Multivariate Control Charts with Accumulate-Combine Approach

  • Performances of variable sampling interval(VSI) multivariate control charts with accumulate-combine approach for monitoring mean vector of p related quality variables were investigated. Shewhart control chart is also proposed to compare the performances of CUSUM and EWMA charts. Numerical comparisons show that performances of CUSUM and EWMA charts are more efficient than Shewhart chart for small or moderate shifts, and VSI chart is more efficient than fixed sampling interval(FSI) chart. We also found that performances of the CUSUM or EWMA chart with accumulate-combine approach are substantially efficient than those of Shewhart chart.

  • A CUSUM control chart was used to monitor semiconductor plasma equipment. The performance of plasma monitoring was evaluated with various combinations of design variables involved in CUCUM control chart. Experimental data collected by using a real-time matching monitoring system include electrical positions of impedance and phase positions, and reflected power. The evaluation revealed that by determining specific design variables plasma states could be more strictly monitored.

A Study of The reference value of the CUSUM control chart that can detect small average changes in the process

  • 반도체나 석유화학 공정과 같이 프로세스 중심의 장치 산업에서는 흔히 관측된 자료들 사이에 자기상관(Autocorrelation)이 존재하는데, 이러한 공정에 기존의 SPC(Statistical process control)를 적용하는 경우 공정의 평균 변화를 효과적으로 검출하지 못하는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 특정 시계열 모형을 따르는 공정자료에 일정한 크기의 평균 변화가 발생할 때, 잔차는 시간의 흐름에 따라 그 평균이 달라지게 되는데, ARMA(1,1) 과정을 중심으로 평균의 변화 패턴을 소개하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 공정의 작은 평균 변화를 검출할 수 있는 CUSUM(Cumulative sum) 관리도의 공정 자료가 갖는 시계열 모형의 형태와 관심 있는 공정 평균 변화의 폭을 고려하여 CUSUM 관리도의 설계 과정에서 필요한 참고값이 적절히 선택되어 사용되어야 함을 모의실험을 통해 확인하였다.

  • Several different control statistics to simultaneously monitor dispersion matrix of several quality variables are presented since different control statistics can be used to describe variability. Multivariare cumulative sum (CUSUM) control charts are proposed and the performances of the proposed CUSUM charts are evaluated in terms of average run length (ARL). Multivariate Shewhart charts are also proposed to compare the properties of the proposed CUSUM charts. The numerical results show that multivariate CUSUM charts are more efficient than multivariate Shewhart charts for small or moderate shifts. And we also found that small reference value of the CUSUM chart is more efficient for small shift.

  • 본 연구에서는 반도체 플라즈마 장비 감시를 위한 CUSUM 제어 차트 설계기법에 관해 연구하였다. CUSUM 제어차트에 관여하는 설계변수의 다양한 조합에 대하여 플라즈마 장비의 감시 성능을 평가하였다. 평가를 위해 RF 정합망 감시시스템을 이용하여 플라즈마 임피던스 정합에 관여하는 정합변수에 대한 실시간 데이터를 수집하였으며, 여기에는 임피던스와 상위치에 대한 전기적 정보, 그리고 반사전력에 대한 정보가 포함된다. 평가결과, 설계변수의 조합에 대하여 감시 성능이 크게 달랐지만, 각 센서 정보의 감시 성능을 증진시키는 설계변수의 조합이 있었음을 확인하였으며, 이는 각 종 다양한 센서정보별 CUSUM 제어 차트의 설계가 필요함을 의미한다. 연구에서는 Raw 데이터 대비 성능 분석을 위해 CUSUM 제어 차트의 설계변수를 변수인 d와 ${\Theta}$값의 변화를 주어 다수의 (d, ${\Theta}$)의 조합에 따른 감시 성능을 평가하였으며, 평가에 이용된 데이터는 소스전력이 750 W, 압력이 15 mTorr, Ar 유량이 50 seem일 때 수집하였다.

  • Properties of the variable sampling interval(VSI) CUSUM chart for monitoring dispersion matrix of related quality characteristics are investigated. Performances of the proposed charts are evaluated for matched fixed sampling interval(FSI) and VSI charts in terms of average time to signal(ATS) and average number of samples to signal (ANSS). Average number of swiches(ANSW) of the proposed VSI Shewhart and CUSUM charts are also investigated.

  • Control chart is most widely used in SPC(Statistical Process Control), Recently it is a critical issue that the standard control chart is not suitable to non-normal process with very small percent defective. Especially, this problem causes serious errors in the reliability procurement, such as semiconductor, high-precision machining and chemical process etc. Procuring process control technique for non-normal process with very small percent defective and perturbation is becoming urgent. Control chart technique in non-normal distribution become very important issue. In this paper, we investigate on research trend of control charts under non-normal distribution with very small percent defective and perturbation, and propose some variable-transformation methods applicable to CUSUM control charts in non-normal process.

시공간 탐지 정확성을 고려한 다변량 누적합 관리도의 비교 (Comparison of Multivariate CUSUM Charts Based on Identification Accuracy for Spatio-temporal Surveillance)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare two multivariate cumulative sum (MCUSUM) charts designed for spatio-temporal surveillance in terms of not only temporal detection performance but also spatial detection performance. Method: Experiments under various configurations are designed and performed to test two CUSUM charts, namely SMCUSUM and RMCUSUM. In addition to average run length(ARL), two measures of spatial identification accuracy are reported and compared. Results: The RMCUSUM chart provides higher level of spatial identification accuracy while two charts show comparable performance in terms of ARL. Conclusion: The RMCUSUM chart has more flexibility, robustness, and spatial identification accuracy when compared to those of the SMCUSUM chart. We recommend to use the RMCUSUM chart if control limit calibration is not an urgent task.

  • Cumulative sum(CUSUM) control charts for monitoring dispersion matrix under multivariate normal process are proposed. Performances of the proposed CUSUM charts are measured in terms of average run length(ARL) by simulation. Numerical results show that small reference values of the proposed CUSUM chart is more efficient for small shifts in the production process.
