제주지역 상동나무의 자생지 생육환경 및 식생조사 (Vegetation and Habitat Environment of Sageretia thea in Jeju Island)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the vegetation and habitat environment of Sageretia thea which is distributed in Jeju island, Korea. Sageretia thea were mainly distributed to the west area in Jeju island. Soil pH and EC of Sageretia thea habitat were 5.8 and $0.34dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$. The contents of organic matter, available phosphate, exchangeable potassium, exchangeable sodium, exchangeable magnesium and exchangeable calcium were 15.27%, $13.6mgkg^{-1}$, $0.27cmol_+kg^{-1}$, $1.3cmol_+kg^{-1}$, $1.7cmol_+kg^{-1}$, $4.9cmol_+kg^{-1}$, respectively. Thirty one taxa including 25 families, 31 genus, 27 species and 4 varieties were identified surrounding Sageretia thea habitat. Specific plant species were 1 taxon in III grade, 1 taxon in I grade and 3 taxa in I grade.

멸종위기식물 층층둥굴레의 자생지 생육환경 및 식생구조 (Growth Environment and Vegetation Structure of Natural Habitat of Polygonatum stenophyllum Maxim)

  • This study was carried out to investigate vegetation structure and soil property of natural habitat of Polygonatum stenophyllum to provide basic information for propagation, conservation and restoration. Habitats of Polygonatum stenophyllum were classified into Hemiptelea davidii-Robinia pseudo-acacia dominant population (Yeongwol-eup), Pinus densiflora-Hemiptelea davidii-Callicarpa japonica dominant population (Nam-myeon), and Hemiptelea davidii-Rubus crataegifolius dominant population (Gangchon-ri). The soil pH 6.49~7.28; and electron conductivity 0.10~0.19 ds/m. The average content of organic matter, total nitrogen, available $P_2O_5$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $K^+$, and $Na^+$ were 8.24~16.45 g/kg, 0.02~0.13%, 45.67~123.67 mg/kg, 4.61~6.71 cmol(+)/kg, 0.17~0.63 cmol(+)/kg, 0.06~0.27 cmol(+)/kg and 0.03~0.30 cmol(+)/kg, respectively. Species diversity index (H'), maximum species diversity index (H' max), evenness (J') and dominance (1-J') of investigated sites ranged 1.0323 (Nam-myeon)~1.1134 (Yeongwol -eup), 1.4914 (Gangchon-ri)~1.6128 (Nam-myeon), 0.6401 (Nam-myeon)~0.7270 (Yeongwol-eup) and 0.2730 (Yeongwol-eup)~0.3599 (Nam-myeon) respectively.

문수조릿대 개체군의 식생 (Vegetation of Arundinaria munsuensis Population)

  • Arundinaria munsuensis population were classified into Lespedeza maximowiczii dominant population and Spiraea prunifolia for. simpliciflora dominant population in the habitat of Jiri Mt. In the study sites, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorous, exchangeable K, exchangeable Ca, exchangeable Mg contained, cation exchange capacity, and soil pH were ranged from 14.52~16.13%, 0.57~0.59%, 5.57~10.24 (mg/kg), 0.44~0.49 ($cmol^+/kg$), 0.62~0.92 ($cmol^+/kg$), 0.31~0.32 ($cmol^+/kg$), 28.26~32.44 ($cmol^+/kg$) and 4.33~4.48 respectively. DCCA ordination analysis showed that Lespedeza maximowiczii dominant population dwells where pH, exchangeable Ca and exchangeable Mg content are high and Spiraea prunifolia for. simpliciflora dominant population is placed where CEC, total nitrogen and organic matter content are high.

Assessing Changes in Selected Soil Chemical Properties of Rice Paddy Fields in Gyeongbuk Province

  • This study was conducted with the data of monitoring on soil chemical properties of rice paddy soils in Gyeongbuk Province. The selected soil chemical properties were analyzed every 4 year from 1999 to 2015. The soil pH measured in 2015 was higher than pH 6.0, which was 0.3-0.4 pH unit higher than data until 2007 survey year. The mean content of organic matter was greater than $24g\;kg^{-1}$ since 2003, but 35% of soil samples remained below the recommended level ($20-30g\;kg^{-1}$) in 2015. The mean concentration of available phosphate was maintained at $40mg\;kg^{-1}$ higher than the upper recommendation level ($80-120mg\;kg^{-1}$), and more than 40% of paddy soils tested were found to have less than the recommendation level during the survey period. The exchangeable K concentration ranged from 0.25 to $0.39cmol_c\;kg^{-1}$. Exchangeable Ca showed an average at the optimum range ($5.0-6.0cmol_c\;kg^{-1}$) during the monitoring period. Exchangeable Mg decreased linearly ($0.02cmol_c\;kg^{-1}\;year^{-1}$) from $1.55cmol_c\;kg^{-1}$ as of 1999 to below the lower level of the recommendation range ($1.5-2.0cmol_c\;kg^{-1}$). The amount of available $SiO_2$ was increased significantly from 2011 to over the recommendation level (${\geq}157mg\;kg^{-1}$). It was revealed that the soil chemical properties of rice paddy fields was influenced by topology, soil texture, type and region as result of principal component analysis or cluster analysis. Therefore, an assessment on chemical properties of rice paddy soils should be performed to consider various soil physical conditions and agronomic practices such as fertilization, cropping system, and so on. Because of the high variability of nutrient levels across Gyeongbuk Province, nutrient management based on soil fertility test is required by respective farm land unit.

소성 점토다공체 및 코코넛 피트를 혼합한 인공토양의 물리화학적 특성과 식물생육에 미치는 영향 (Physicochemical Properties of Artificial Soil Formulated by Blending Calcined Clay and Coconut Peat and its Effect on Plant Growth)

  • This study was carried out to compare artificial soil formulated by blending calcined clay and coconut peat with perlite, then to evaluate this soil as a perlite substitute for use as an artificial planting medium. To achieve this, a determination of the physico-chemical properties and it's effect on plant growth were conducted by comparing those with large perlite grains and small grains. The results are summarized as follows: 1) The bulk density was 0.41g/㎤. This density was lower than that of field soil, but higher than that of large perlite grain(0.23g/㎤) and small grain(0.25g/㎤). The porosity, field capacity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity were 71.3%, 49.2%, and 3.8$\times$10-2cm/s, respectively. The air-permeability, water holding capacity, and drainage were better than or equal to that both large and small perlite grain. 2) It was near-neutral in reaction(pH=6.6). It had a high organic carbon content(65.8g/kg) and a low available phosphoric acid content(84.7mg/kg). It was similar to crop soil in cation exchange capacity(11.4cmol/kg). It had a low exchangeable calcium content(0.71cmol/kg), a low exchangeable magnesium content(0.68cmol/kg), a high exchangeable potassium content(2.54cmol/kg), and a high exchangeable sodium content(1.12cmol/kg). Except for the exchangeable potassium and sodium content, the chemical properties were better than or equal to both large and small grain perlite. The excessive exchangeable potassium or sodium content will inhibit plant growth. 3) In Experiment 1, the plant growth tended to be higher compared to that of large and small perlite gains. But in Experiment 2, it tended to be lower. This might be linked to the excessive exchangeable potassium or sodium content. 4) It could be considered as a renewable perlite substitute for greening of artificial soil. But, it would be necessary to leach the excessive exchangeable potassium or sodium to avoid the risk of inhibiting plant growth.

한강 퇴적토의 식재 토양 활용에 관한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on Application of Alluvial Deposit in the Han River for Planting Soil)

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze the feasibility of the alluvial deposit deposited on upper terrace in Han River as a substitute for conventional plant soil. For this purpose, the soil characteristics were analyzed, and germination and growth rate of pansy and marigold for 75 days were investigated. Soil contamination level of all the samples, except mineral oil, was analysed under the legal contamination level, while some mineral oil was detected in almost samples at 2.0~32mg/kg. The measures of the soil texture (sandy loam or loam), organic matter (2.5~5.5%), available phosphate (22~98mg/kg), exchangeable cation of K (0.5~1.1cmol/kg), Ca (0.9~9.6cmol/kg), Mg (0.1~0.7cmol/kg), Na (0.7~3.1cmol/kg), CEC (3.1~24.3cmol/kg) were identified as not worse than those of conventional planting soil. But the pH (5.1~5.3) was detected slightly lower than the range (5.5~6.9) of average domestic field soil. The germination rate of pansy in alluvial deposit was lower than that of fertile field or paddy field soil, while the growth rate of pansy for 75 days in alluvial deposit was as good as that of the compared fertile soils. But the germination rate and growth rate of marigold in alluvial deposit were much poorer than those of marigold in compared fertile soils. Consequently, the feasibility of alluvial deposit as a substitute for planting soil was evaluated to be high.

희귀식물 꼬리진달래의 자생지 생육환경 및 삽목, 종자번식 (Habitat Environment and Cutting, Seed Propagation of Rare Plant Rhododendron micranthum Turcz)

  • The habitats characteristics of Rhododendron micranthum Turcz. were investigated to compile basic data for conservation and restoration. Natural habitats were located at altitudes of 100-500 m with inclinations of $10-35^{\circ}$. Rhododendron micranthum population was classified into Pinus densiflora dominant population. In the study sites, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphate, exchangeable potassium, exchangeable sodium, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium, cation exchange capacity and soil pH were 4.10-8.64%, 0.18-0.46%, 8.69-26.70 $mgkg^{-1}$, 0.10-0.23 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 0.06-0.10 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 0.85-4.10 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 0.24-0.64 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 12.76-20.90 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 4.34-5.15. Rooting rate is too low, cutting propagation, breeding methods are not good. Also, this study was investigated seed germination of R. micranthum depends on soaking treatment. R. micranthum was soaked with tap water for four days, the average values of germination day were represented of 70%/1 week.

우리나라 고추, 마늘 및 양파 주산지 밭토양의 물리·화학적 특성 (Physico-Chemical Properties of Soils at Red Pepper, Garlic and Onion Cultivation Areas in Korea)

  • 우리나라의 주요 조미채소인 고추, 마늘 및 양파 주산지 토양의 물리화학적 특성 및 화학성분함량을 조사하여 토양관리 및 시비 기준설정의 기초자료로 활용하기 위하여 고추(132개지점), 마늘(59개지점) 및 양파(24개지점) 주산지 총 215개 지점의 근권토양을 채취하여 분석하였다. 우리나라 고추, 마늘 및 양파 주산지 토양은 사양토(SL)와 양토(L)가 전체의 68% 이상을 차지하였으며, 토성별 빈도분포는 양토(L. 35.4%) > 사양토(SL,31.6%) > 미사질양토(SiL, 14.9%) > 식양토(CL.7.0%)의 순이었다. 토양 pH는 마늘 및 양파재배지 토양은 평균 6.0 이상이었으나 고추재배지 토양은 5.5로서 낮았으며, 전체조사지역의 58.7%인 126개 지점이 6.0 이하였으며, pH 5.0 이하인 지점도 전체의 21.4%인 46개 지점이었으며, 7.1 이상인 지역은 약 10.3%인 22개 지점이었다. 토양유기물 함량은 전반적으로 $20{\sim}30g\;kg^{-1}$ 수준이H으며 양파재배지 토양에서 다소 높게 나타났다. 유효 $P_2O_5$$719{\sim}746mg\;kg^{-1}$ 범위로서 작물간에 큰 차이는 없었으며, 빈도분포는 전체 조사지역중 62.8%가 유효 $P_2O_5$ $600mg\;kg^{-1}$ 이상으로서 기준치를 초과하였으며 $1,000mg\;kg^{-1}$ 이상도 전체의 22.3%를 차지하였다. 치환성 양이온인 K 및 Ca 함량은 마늘(1.27 및 $9.11cmol\;kg^{-1}$) 및 양파(1.20 및 $8.39cmol\;kg^{-1}$)재배지토양이 고추재배지 토양(0.96 및 $5.87cmol\;kg^{-1}$)에 비하여 높았으며, Mg 함량은 마늘재배지 토양이 $2.17cmol\;kg^{-1}$으로서 가장 높았으며, 고추 및 양파재배지토양은 각각 약 1.51 및 $1.80cmol\;kg^{-1}$으로 마늘재배지 토양에 비하여 낮게 나타났으나 치환성 양이온인K, Mg 및 Ca모두 경작지 토양의 적정수준 이상으로 함유되어 있었다. 그리고 미량원소는 Fe는 $54.3{\sim}60.1mg\;kg^{-1}$ 범위, Mn은 $31.3{\sim}42.3mg\;kg^{-1}$ 범위 Cu및 Zn은 각각 1.7~2.3 및 $4.8{\sim}5.5mg\;kg^{-1}$ 범위였다.

창원시 보호수의 분포현황과 실태진단 (Diagnosis of Real Condition and Distribution of Protected Trees in Changwon-si, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 창원시에 위치한 보호수를 체계적이고 합리적으로 관리하기 위한 기초자료 제공에 그 목적이 있다. 조사항목은 일반현황, 입지정보, 개체정보, 건강정보, 토양정보에 대해 조사하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 보호수 현황은 총 26개소에 위치하고 있으며, 수종은 느티나무, 팽나무, 푸조나무, 은행나무, 개서어나무, 반송, 굴참나무, 소나무, 왕버들 등 9종이다. 보호수 유형에서는 정자목이 가장 많았고, 대부분의 보호수가 수령 200년 이상이었다. 해발범위는 14~173m였고, 평탄지에 보호수가 많이 있었다. 입지유형의 경우 마을형, 산야형 순이었으며, 토지이용은 건물지가 가장 많았다. 수고범위는 8.0~30.0m, 지하고는 0.6~5.1m, 흉고직경은 240~700cm, 근원직경은 210~800cm이었다, 수관면적의 경우, 5번 느티나무가 가장 넓었다. 현황판은 23번과 26번을 제외하고 대부분 설치되어 있었다. 보호책이 설치된 지역은 9개소, 석축이 있는 지역은 14개소였다. 지지대가 설치된 지역은 5개소, 복토는 대부분 되어 있지 않았다. 바닥재질은 흙, 자갈과 식생의 순이었다. 고사지율 범위는 0~40%이며, 수피이탈율은 0~60%이었다. 공동이 있는 지역은 23개소였으며, 12번 푸조나무가 공동의 면적이 가장 넓었다. 답압 발생 지역은 7개소, 병충해 발생 지역은 2개소, 상처 발생 지역은 23개소, 뿌리 노출 지역은 13개소로 나타났다. 토양 분석 결과, 토양산도 pH 4.5~8.0, 유기물함량 3.5~69.8g/kg, 전기전도도 0.11~2.87dS/m, 유효인산 3.0~490.6mg/kg, 치환성 칼륨 0.10~1.05cmol+/kg, 치환성 칼슘 1.41~16.45cmol+/kg, 치환성 마그네슘 0.37~1.96cmol+/kg, 치환성 나트륨 0.25~2.41cmol+/kg, 양이온치환용량 8.35~26.55cmol+/kg으로 나타났다.

인천국제공항 식재기반 구조 및 토양특성 연구 (A Study on the Structure Characteristics of Planting Ground in Incheon International Airport, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 대규모 매립지에 조성된 인천국제공항을 대상으로 수목 식재기반에 대한 구조적, 이화학적 특성을 파악함으로써 합리적인 토양관리 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 세부 연구 대상지는 국제업무단지, 여객터미널, 공항지원단지, 자유무역지역, 진입도로 등 5개소이었다. 인천국제공항 수목생육 기반에 대한 토양 구조분석결과 표토로부터 80cm 이내에 경반층 또는 이질층의 토양층위가 존재하는 조사구는 총 27개소 중 9개소이었으며, 성토재료로 자갈 매립(4개소), 준설토와 혼합된 재료 매립(2개소), 점토가 다량 포함되어 투수가 불량한 성토 재료 사용(3개소), 폐골재를 매립한 경우(1개소) 등이었다. 토양의 물리적 특성으로 토양경도는 성토층 평균 $11.5kg/cm^2$이었고, 토성은 모래함량이 많은 사토, 사양토, 양질사토 등이었다. 화학적 특성으로서 토양산도는 성토층 평균 pH 6.7이었으며, 유기물함량은 0.7%, 전기전도도(EC)는 0.0dS/m, 교환성양이온함량은 $Ca^{2+}$ 3.4cmol/kg, $Mg^{2+}$ 1.5coml/kg, $K^+$ 0.3cmol/kg, $Na^+$ 1.0cmol/kg, 교환성양이온치환용량(CEC)은 11.0cmol/kg이었다. 성토층의 절대적 평균치는 대부분 조경설계기준을 만족하였으나 매립지토양특성상 층위별 조사구별 편차를 반영할 수 없는 한계가 있어 성토층위별로 분석한 교환성양이온별 염기포화도(BSP)는 소성토지역 $Ca^{2+}$ 29.9%, $Mg^{2+}$ 13.3%, $K^+$ 3.7%, 중성토지역 $Ca^{2+}$ 33.3%, $Mg^{2+}$ 17.0%, $K^+$ 2.7%, 대성토지역 $Ca^{2+}$ 32.6%, $Mg^{2+}$ 12.2%, $K^+$ 1.9%이었다. 교환성나트륨백분율(ESP)은 소성토지역 16.4%, 중성토지역 7.5%, 대성토지역 4.7%이었고, 나트륨흡착비(SAR)는 소성토지역 0.8, 중성토지역 0.3, 대성토지역 0.2이었다. 성토재료의 불균질과 불량, 준설토의 교란, 답압에 의한 높은 토양경도와 지중의 경반층형성, 낮은 유효토심 등의 물리적 요인과 높은 pH, 염기밸런스 불균형, 낮은 유기물, 유효인산 등은 식물생육에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다.
