  • Objectives:This study was performed to examine the side effect of inflammatory reactions of Pharmacopuncture lubricants (CF and JsD) using animal model. Methods:Pharmacopuncture lubricants (CF and JsD) were treated repeatedly the same point in Sprague-Dawley rats. And after finish the treatment, we obtain the tissue of muscle layer in rats where Pharmacopuncture lubricants were treated. And we observed the tissue how the change occurred in HE staining. Results: 1. There was no evidence to make inflammation induced by pharmacopuncture lubricants except 4 weeks treated group. 2. Only 4 weeks treated group(CF, JsD) were showed some infectional tissue's view in H-E staining. But it is not certain due to Pharmacopuncture lubricants. Conclusion:It appears that prolonged usage of pharmacopuncture lubricant on the specific point can induce inflammation, so we may be careful for treating time and point using pharmacopuncture lubricant in clinics.

  • This paper presents a new digit-serial systolic multiplier over $CF(2^m)$ for cryptographic applications. When input data come in continuously, the proposed array produces multiplication results at a rate of one every ${\lceil}m/D{\rceil}$ clock cycles, where D is the selected digit size. Since the inner structure of the proposed array is tree-type, critical path increases logarithmically proportional to D. Therefore, the computation delay of the proposed architecture is significantly less than previously proposed digit-serial systolic multipliers whose critical path increases proportional to D. Furthermore, since the new architecture has the features of regularity, modularity, and unidirectional data flow, it is well suited to VLSI implementations.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the salinity on growth, inorganic ion content, and photosynthetic rate ($\textrm{P}^{N}$) in Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) with complex fertilizer (CF) and NaCl concentrations. The salinity was applied to plant using NaCl and CF, and controlled an EC as 0.0, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$. The salinity treated three times at 35, 42 and 49 d after transplanting. The leaf area in different electrical conductivity (EC) decreased only the higher NaCl 1.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$. The root growth increased with CF and especially, it was two times higher at 3.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$ than that of control. But the root growth sharply decreased with NaCl compared to CF. The light saturation point of Korean ginseng was around 100 $\mu\textrm{mol}\;\textrm{m}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$ photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), and $\textrm{P}^{N}$ increased as CF increased but decreased with NaCl especially at the late growth stage. The $\textrm{Na}^{+}$ content in Korean ginseng increased sharply with NaCl.

  • $CF_4$ gas is one of the most common chemicals used for dry etching in semiconductor manufacturing processes. For application to the etching process and environmental control, the low-pressure inductively coupled plasma (LP-ICP) was employed to obtain the spectrum of $CF_4$ gas. In terms of the analysis of the spectra, trace CF radical by A-X and B-X transitions was detected. The other $CF_x$ radicals, such as $CF_2$ and $CF_3$, were not seen in this experiment whereas strong C and $C_2$ emissions, dissociation products of $CF_4$ gas, were observed.

  • Estrogen deficiency in peri-and postmenopausal women results in variety of neurovegetative, psychic and somatic symptoms, and may contribute to severe diseases within the aged female population. Capsosiphon fulvecense (CF), green algae, loaded with large amount of proteins, calcium and ion. This seaweed is distributed in the Southern coast in Korea and widely throughout the world. Our objective was to investigate the effects of Capsosiphon fulvecense (CF) extract on serum lipid concentration and platelet aggregation in ovariectomized rats. Three groups were surgically ovariectomized (OVX). The fourth group was sham operated. Sprague-Dawley female rats were randomly assigned to the following groups : sham-operated rats (Sham), ovariectomized control rats (OVX-Control), ovariectomized rats supplemented with CF at 50mg/kg bw/d (OVX-CF5O) and ovariectomized rats supplemented with CF at 200mg/kg bw/d (OVX-CF200). The serum triglyceride level was significantly decreased after supplemented with the CF extracts. The serum HDL-cholesterol level in the OVX-CF group was significantly higher than the level in the OVX-control group. The ability of platelet aggregation treated with CF extract (CF group) was $7\%$ less than OVX-control group. Taken these together, CF extract may be used to improve the quality of life in menopausal women.

  • Low pressure casting process for unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced aluminum (UD-CF/Al) composites which is an infiltration route of molten Al into porous UD-CF preform has been a cost-effective way to obtain metal matrix composites (MMCs) but, easy to cause non-uniform fiber distribution as CF clustering. Such clustered CFs have been a problem to decrease the density and thermal conductivity (TC) of composites, due to the existence of pores in the clustered area. To obtain high thermal performance composites for heat-sink application, the relationship between fiber distribution and porosity has to be clearly investigated. In this study, the CF distribution was evaluated with quantification approach by using two-dimensional spatial distribution method as local number 2-dimension (LN2D) analysis. Note that the CFs distribution in composites sensitively changed by sizes of Cu bridging particles between the CFs added in the UD-CF preform fabrication stage, and influenced on only $LN2D_{var}$ values.

  • This study was done to observe the effect on the local thermal changes of herbal acupuncture on D.I.T.I.. The objects of this study are as follows; If there are remarkable local thermal changes between pre and post herbal acupuncture therapy on D.I.T.I.or not. If there are those, We examine how long that changes are maintained, what the adequate interval is on herbal acupuncture therapy, and what the reaction in a .local or whole body are on that therapy Materials and Methods : To study the local thermal changes in herbal acupuncture therapy, D.I.T.I. was used. Determination of this analysis periods are pre and post-therapy(1 hour, 24hours, 48hours and 7days later). The study group was divided into three groups(comprised 23 students in oriental medical college, Woosuk University). One was NS(Normal Saline) group, another was CF(CARTHAMI SEMEN) group and the other was BU(FEL URSI + BENZOAR BOVIS) group. The Herbal Acupunture solution was injected 0.2ml divide into 0.05ml at tile P'ungmun(B12), P'yesu(B13), Pubun(B41), Paek'o(B42) 4 points. Then, in order to analyze the clinical form, we have observed response of 23 students whenever we checked the thermal changes of their after perfoming Results : The results were obtained as follows ; 1. There is no significant dermatothermal changes at NS group and CF group, but BU group have remarkable changes in 24, 48, 72 hours. 2. From post-therapy 1 hour to 48 hours, there is a significant change (P<0.01) at NS-BU group and CF-BU group, But there is none 7 days later. 3. In the analysis of whole or local body reaction, local pain appears at NS group(22%), CF group(11%), BU group(91%), discomfort reaction appears at CF group(14%), BU group(30%). BU groilp has feel vertigo(13%), drowsy (70%) and pain in action(52%). 4. In the analysis of the duration of physic진 reaction, BU group is most lately maintained. Conclusions : These results suggest that in the physical reaction of herbal acupuncture solutions, BU solution is more sensitive than CF solution or NS.

  • The effect of $CF_4$ plasma treatment condition on the interfacial adhesion energy of inkjet printed Ag/polyimide system is evaluated from $180^{\circ}$ peel test by calculating the plastic deformation energy of peeled metal films. Interfacial fracture energy between Ag and as-received polyimide was 5.5 g/mm. $CF_4$ plasma treatment on the polyimide surface enhanced the interfacial fracture energy up to 17.6 g/mm. This is caused by the increase in the surface roughness as well as the change in functional group of the polyimide film due to $CF_4$ plasma treatment on the polyimide surface. Therefore, both the mechanical interlocking effect and the chemical bonding effect are responsible for interfacial adhesion improvement in ink jet printed Ag/polyimide systems.

  • The advancement of information technology and the popularization of Internet has explosively increased the amount of multimedia contents. Therefore, the requirement of multimedia recommendation to satisfy a user's needs increases fastly. Up to now, CF is used to recommend general items and multimedia contents. However, general CF doesn't reflect visual characteristics of image contents so that it can't be adaptable to image recommendation. Besides, it has limitations in new item recommendation, the sparsity problem, and dynamic change of user preference. In this paper, we present new image recommendation method FBCF (Feature Based Collaborative Filtering) to resolve such problems. FBCF builds new user profile by clustering visual features in terms of user preference, and reflects user's current preference to recommendation by using preference feedback. Experimental result using real mobile images demonstrate that FBCF outperforms conventional CF by 400% in terms of recommendation ratio.
