  • The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of decentering between centrality of event and meaning reconstruction, based on relational loss experiences. To do so, surveys were conducted on 295 people(male: 109, female: 186) who would experience relational loss and be over 20 years old in the country using a questionnaire including a relational loss history checklist, the CES(Centrality of Event Scale), the Decentering Scale and the GMRI(Grief and Meaning Reconstruction Inventory). And the valid data were statistically processed using SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study was followed. First, both centrality of event and decentering had positive corrleations with meaning reconstruction. Second, decentering completely mediated relationship of centrality of event and meaning reconstruction. Centrality of event had no direct effect on meaning reconstruction and the entire effect of centrality of event on meaning reconstruction was transmitted only through the path of decentering. Based on these results, limitations and implications of this study and suggestions for future studies were discussed.

  • Existing researches on movie genre have been focusing on the relationship between a specific genre and performance of a movie. However, most of films cross into multiple genres and new approach is needed for analyzing a genre network. In this study social network analysis was used to analyze the genre centrality and its relationship with movie performance by developing a genre network, i.e. network among multiple genres constructed via genre co-occurrence pattern in a specific movie. Three index of genre centrality, eigenvector centrality, degree centrality, and bonacich power centrality, were tested for the valued genre network. Results showed that the relationship between genre centrality and movie performance appeared to be inverted U-shaped. This empirical finding is in line with the theory of ambidexterity which emphasizes the balance of exploration and exploitation. In addition, this study can provide practical implications for movie producers, distributors, and theaters that need to develop genre strategies.

  • In traditional social network analysis, the betweenness centrality measure has been heavily used to identify the relative importance of nodes in terms of message delivery. Since the time complexity to calculate the betweenness centrality is very high, however, it is difficult to get it of each node in large-scale social network where there are so many nodes and edges. In this paper, we define a new type of network, called the expanded ego network, which is built only with each node's local information, i.e., neighbor information of the node's neighbor nodes, and also define a new measure, called the expended ego betweenness centrality. Through the intensive experiment with Barab$\acute{a}$si-Albert network model to generate the scale-free networks which most social networks have as their embedded feature, we also show that the nodes' importance rank based on the expanded ego betweenness centrality has high similarity with that based on the traditional betweenness centrality.

  • The present study positively analyzed the hyperlinks of 32 web sites with the purpose of analyzing the hyperlink network structure of web sites for each domestic library type. After collecting the hyperlink data using the crawler, we analyzed the overall characteristics of the websites in the network based on the characteristics of the library. The results are as follows. 1) Among all analyzed libraries, Yonsei scored the highest in degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, and eigenvector centrality. 2) By library type, Sejong for national library, Seoul for public library, and Yonsei for college library appeared an influential a relatively. Based on these analysis results, the present study will be utilized as basic data for establishing an operation strategy that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of library web sites in the future.

  • The value of social network and entrepreneurial orientation has widely been acknowledged as a critical resource of business success. However, the previous studies did not specify each role and conceptually have examined them as separate antecedents of firm performance. This study develops propositions concerning network capabilities and investigates the moderating effects of network structures (degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality) on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance. This research conducted with a sample of 115 small consulting companies in Korea. The findings indicate that closeness centrality moderates the relationship between proactiveness and performance. Also, the combination of betweenness centrality and proactiveness exerts a positive impact on performance. Accordingly, degree centrality enhances the influence of innovativeness on performance. In particular, betweenness centrality exacerbates the influence of risk-taking on performance against our expectation. Overall, these findings conclude the synergistic effects of network capability and entrepreneurial orientation on firm performance. Finally, practical implications and academic propositions are presented regarding the way firms could most effectively utilize entrepreneurial orientation and network capability to maximize firm performance.

  • This study aims to develop a potential centrality evaluation model (PCEM) which can evaluate the potential centrality of villages within the catchment boundaries. PCEM is a tool for evaluation of villages\` centralities by the potential centrality index (PCI) developed in this study. For quantification of PCI, total 31 evaluation criteria on the accessibility to other villages and the natural and human environment of the village were introduced. The weighting values of criteria were calculated from the step wise pair-comparision results of 14 specialists in academic fields on rural planning using by AHP (Analytic Hierachy Process) of MCE (multi-criteria evaluation) method. In the results, the weighting values of the spatial accessibility, the natural environments and the human environments were 448, 338 and 214, respectively, among total value being 1,000.

  • This paper proposes a closeness centrality analysis algorithm for workflow-supported social networks that represent the collaborative relationships among the performers who are involved in a specific workflow model. The proposed algorithm uses the social network analysis techniques, particularly closeness centrality equations, to analyze the closeness centrality of the workflow-supported social network. Additionally, through an example we try to verify the accuracy and appropriateness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Centrality has been actively studied in network analysis field. In this paper we show a calculation method of closeness centrality for WSN. Since nodes in a sensor network are very scarce in energy and computation capability the calculation of the closeness is done in two tiers by dividing network into clusters. In first step closeness centrality for cluster heads is calculated. In the second step closeness of member nodes of the chosen cluster is computed in respect to that cluster itself.

  • Social network analysis (SNA) techniques have recently been developed to monitor and detect abnormal behaviors in social networks. As a useful tool for process monitoring, control charts are also useful for network monitoring. In this paper, the degree and closeness centrality measures, in which each has global and local perspectives, respectively, are applied to an exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) chart and a multinomial cumulative sum (CUSUM) chart for monitoring undirected weighted networks. In general, EWMA charts monitor only one variable in a single chart, whereas multinomial CUSUM charts can monitor a categorical variable, in which several variables are transformed through classification rules, in a single chart. To monitor both degree centrality and closeness centrality simultaneously, we categorize them based on the average of each measure and then apply to the multinomial CUSUM chart. In this case, the global and local attributes of the network can be monitored simultaneously with a single chart. We also evaluate the performance of the proposed procedure through a simulation study.

  • This study aims to analyze the International trade network of Water transport service using Social Network Analysis for defining the status of Korean Water transport industry. This study use World Input-Output Table of Asian Development Bank from 2000 to 2020 and build the International trade matrix of Water transport service from that. Therefore, this study analyze Out-degree centrality, In-degree centrality and betweenness centrality of Korea and other main countries in the matrix of World Water transport industry. As a result, Korea rank above 10th in the all centralities and the total output also rank 8th in the world, therefore, this study show the importance of Korean Water transport industry in the world. However, Singapore has the highest centrality in the world, even though China has the largest Total output among 63 countries.
