  • 지구환경보존이 세계적인 과제로 되어있는 오늘날 디젤엔진으로부터 배출되는 배기배출물에 대한 문제가 대두되고 있으며, 미국의 캘리포니아주(CARB)에 있어서는 세계최초로 농업기계용 엔진을 포함한 운송용 엔진에 대하여 엄한 배기가스 규제법안을 세워 시행중에 있다. 또한 전미, 유럽 및 일본에 동일한 검사가 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 디젤엔진으로서 문제가 되고 있는 배기성분인 NOx와 파라큘레이트(PM)에 대한 저감대책으로 최근 고압분사(HSDI), EGR 및 후처리(De-NOx) 촉매등의 연구가 시행되고 있으며, 전망이 기대되어지고 있다. 그러나 경제성, 내구성, 제품의 크기, 차량의 중량증가 등이 과제로 남겨지고 있다(유강택 외 1997).   • This paper presents the detection of internal combustion engine's multiple misfire. The primary cause of air pollution by vehicles is imperfect conbustion of fuel. The CARB(California Air Resources Board) have imposed regulations for the detection of misfiring in automotive engines. The OBD-II regulations requir that misfire should be monitored by the diagnostic system, and that the goal of OBD-II is to alert the driver to the presence of a malfunction of the emission control system. Present invention based upon measurements of engine roughness as derived from crankshaft angular velocity measurements with special signal processing method. Crankshaft angular velocity signals are processed by walsh-fourier transform. Experimental work confims that it's possible to apply walsh-fourier transform for the detection of multiple misfires in no-load idle and road testing.

게 껍질분말 첨가식이가 고지혈증 흰쥐의 지진대사에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Crab Shell Powder on Lipid Metabolism in Diet-Induced Hyperlipidemic Rats)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of dietary crab shell powder on lipid metabolism in diet induced hyperlippidemic rats. Sixteen male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two groups and fed 20% (w/w) carb shell powder supplemented diet for 4 weeks. Energy intake and weight gain were lower in experimental group than in control group. Concentrations of plasma triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, and atherogenic index (AI) were decreased and concentration of HDL-cholesterol was increased by crab shell powder supplementation. Concentrations of liver total cholesterol and triglyceride were significantly lower in experimental group. The crab shell decreased triglyceride and cholesterol concentration in plasma and liver, and increased bile acid excretion in feces. Therefore, the crab shell powder is assumed to exhibit function of chitin or chitosan that effects on lipid metabolism and cholesterol reabsorption.

컨버터 OBD에 대한 연구 (A Study on Converter OBD)

  • As a part of stringent emission regulations, OBD on a converter is requested by EU and CARB. It demands that MIL is light-on to inform the failure to the driver when the converter is failed in its function. Usually dual oxygen sensor method is used for converter OBD. For this, detail methods, like amplitude ratio, time delay and frequency ratio methods are adapted for vehicle application. Actually, the cars produced later than MY94 for US market are using one of these methods. In this study, OSCs of converters are investigated with an absolute measuring method. The converters are aged with a furnace aging, an engine bench aging and vehicle aging method to represent various aging condition in field applications. An OBD index that is used for TLEVs regulation is also investigated to find a relation between two parameters. The relations of these parameters with THC emission on vehicle are evaluated.

  • A new kind of aminophosphonopeptides containing carbapenem, allyl-(5R,6S)-3-(2-carbobenzyloxyamino-3-dialkylph osphonopropionyl-2-amino)ethanthio-6-{(1'R)-hydro xyethyl}-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-ene-carb oxylate 1a-1d, have been synthesized. 2-Carbobenzyloxyamino-3-dialkylphosphonopropion yl-2-amino-ethanethiol 7a-7d, aminophosphonopeptides, were produced starting from N-carbobenzyloxyserine methyl ester (2) and 2-amino-3-dialkyl-phosphonopropionate(4) by way of methyl 2-carbobenzyloxyamino-3-dialkylphosphonopropion ate 5a-5d. The coupling of amino-phosphonopeptides 7a-7d and allyl-(5R,6S)-6-{(1'R)-hydroxyethyl}-1-aza-3,7-dio xobicyclo[3.2.0]-heptane-2-carboxylate yielded aminophosphonopeptides containing carbapenem 1a-1d.

Adsorption/desorption of uranium on iron-bearing soil mineral surface

  • In this study, we evaluated the adsorption/desorption of uranium (U) in pure soil environment using continuous column reactor. We additionally investigated the adsorption/desorption mechanism of U on vivianite surface in molecular scale using quantum calculation. We observed that below $0.1{\mu}M$ of U was detected after 20 d from U injection ($1{\mu}M$) in adsorption test. However, all of absorbed U was detached from vivianite surface in 24 h by injection of CARB solution ($1.44{\times}10^{-2}M\;NaHCO_3$ and $2.8{\times}10^{-3}M\;Na_2CO_3$). Based on exchange energy calculation, we found that $UO_2(CO_3)_2{^{2-}}$ and $UO_2(CO_3)_3{^{4-}}$ species have higher repulsive energy than $UO_2(OH)_2$ species. The results obtained from this study could be applied to predict the behavior of uranium in contaminated and remediation sites.

  • OBD-II regulations are already effective in many countries. The California Air Resources Board(CARB) first issued regulations in 1985 for the 1988 model year, known as OBD-I, and required the vehicle's engine management computer to warn the driver by means of a dash-mounted light if a malfunction occurred in either the oxygen sensor, the exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) valve or the evaporative emission system purge solenoid, and to store information on troubles that have no recurrent characteristics. This paper presents two methods of wireless monitoring OBD signal, which is one of the ECU output for self diagnostic measurement. RF module is used to monitor ECU's Self diagnostic signal remotely. Two kinds of measurement systems which are based on micro-controller(80C196KC) for portable detection and PC for sever are considered for receiving the RF signal. Therefore, possibility of real-time monitoring of ECU's self diagnostic signal remotely is verified on this paper.

캐나다의 침구 및 동양의학 교육과 평가 현황 (Current Status on Education and Evaluation of Acupuncture and TCM in Canada)

  • Purposes : The Purpose of this study was to review a current status on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Canada focusing on the rules of regulatory bodies of 5 states including legislation history, development in professional self-regulation, education and evaluation system. Methods : Based on literature review, we studied on 5 legislated states cases, educational accreditation status and licensure system. We also interviewed on a person who is a chair of CTCMA & CARB-TCMPA and more TCM practitioners in British Columbia within educational topics. Results & Conclusions : Acupuncture legislations have been approved by the governments in Canada between 1988 and 2014 within the acceptance of self-regulation. Since then, regulatory bodies in each states have tried to strengthen their duties and rights as a healthcare professionals. Based on firm laws and regulations, occupational competency-based education in acupuncture and TCM has been gradually improved and established quite well in parallel with a development of higher educational system in Canada.

섶 속살이게, Pinnotheres pholadis의 기생이 진주담치의 번식력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Pea Carb (Pinnotheres pholadis) on the Reproductive Capacity of the Blue Mussel (Mytilus edulis galloprovincialis))

  • 1981년 8월에서 1982년 5월까지 일본 암수현 대퇴만에서 섶 속살이게, Pinnotheres pholadis에 기생된 진주담치를 정기적으로 채집하고 기생군과 비기생군간의 각장에 대한 육중의 상관관계를 조사하고, 그 성숙도와 영양상태의 차를 조직학적 방법에 의해 구명했다. 섶 속살이게의 기생으로 말미암아 진주담치는 증육에 명백한 장해를 받음이 밝혀졌다. 또한, 생식선의 발달이 늦어질뿐 아니라, 생식세포의 수가 감소됨으로써 전체면적에 대한 생식선의 면적비가 낮아지게 되므로, 기생군의 번식력은 비기생군에 비해 현저하게 약한 것으로 추정된다.

LPLi엔진에서의 LPG 연료 조성비가 개별탄화수소 배출특성과 시동성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Individual HC Emission Characteristics and Startability for Various Composition Ratio of LPG Fuel on LPLi Engine)

  • The regulations for hydrocarbon emission from vehicles have become much more stringent in recent years. These more stringent regulations request vehicle manufacturers to develop the advanced exhaust system for reducing exhaust emissions. The exhaust emissions has many sources in vehicle. In order to investigate the characteristics of hydrocarbon(HC) in the exhaust manifold, concentrations of individual HC species were measured in exhaust process. Using sampling valve, the light hydrocarbon emissions were captured in the exhaust manifold(catalyst before and after) and analyzed from LPLi engine exhaust manifold(catalyst before and after) using different fuel properties. Then exhaust samples were measured by gas chromatography(GC) and exhaust gas analyzer. Catalyst conversion efficiency for fuel properties of Butane 100% was better than Propane 100%. Start delay of LPLi engine was observed as increment of propane contents in LPG fuels.
