  • NOAA operational bulk SST product (Reynolds et al, 2002) is very popular global SST data sets and is extensively used for various studies. However, the original time resolution is weekly and relatively large. On the other hand, there exist many new global SST data sets at present. In this study, we compare many global SST data sets including NOAA operational bulk SST product, CAOS OI SST product, Microwave Optimum Interpolation (MWOI) SST, Real Time Global (RTG) SST and JMA merged satellite and in situ Global Daily (MGD) SST.

  • In the base of tale stories, main character in Henry Selick's works is always faced with CAOS situation such as the separated world as two part real and cyber. That makes audience feel the sense of the real. I concentrated to research how audiences' estimate was formed and reversed and what type of surrealism techniques will happened in the animation for the near future. Animation will be shown the new possibilities with extension and harmony of all kinds of arts expression. This paper examines the study of animations by Henry Selick who is the world famous stop-motion animation director, production Art director. The case works are focused on 'Depaysement technique of Surrealism' in his works.

  • The usefulness and accuracy of computer-assisted surgery have been evaluated clinically in many orthopedic fields, such as, joint replacement arthroplasty, cruciate ligament reconstruction, and pedicle screw placemen. Recently several preliminary reports have been issued on the application of navigation to bone tumor surgery. The main advantage of navigation-assisted bone tumor surgery is that it provides highly accurate three-dimensional radiological information for intraoperative guidance. In particular, distances from tumors to resection margins can be precisely determined using intraoperative three-dimensional images. Accordingly, the technique allows preservation of function to be maximized by minimizing unnecessary resection. However, surgeons should recognize that the accuracies of navigation systems in bone tumor surgery have some hidden pitfalls. Here, based on our clinical results, we describe the surgical techniques used and include some cautionary notes.
