  • In this paper, we design the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) of the CAMB (Constant-Amplitude Multi-code Biorthogonal) modulation, and implement the SoC (System on Chip). The ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) chip is be implemented through targeting and board test. This 12Mbps modem SoC includes the ARM (Advanced RISC Machine)7TDMI, 64Kbyte SRAM(Static Random Access Memory) and ADC (Analog to Digital Converter)/DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) for flexible applications. Additionally, the modem SoC can support the variable communication interfaces such as the 16-bits PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association), USB (Universal Serial Bus) 1.1, and 16C550 Compatible UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter).

  • A survey of the natural regeneration of the gallery forest at the Sao Bartolomeu river, Federal District - Brazil it was carry out. Plots of $100m^2$ let established the composition of the trees succession of one hectare. 4262 plants distributed in four classes according to the height were found. The phytosociological value of the classes was respectively 3,3 2,4 2,0 2,3 and through of them it was possible to identify the phytosociological position of the species. The results of the calculations of the relative index of the natural regeneration and value of importance shows that the most important species are Cheiloclinium cognatum A.C. Smith, Piptadenia communis Benth., Faramea cyanea M. Arg., Xylopia sericea St. Hil., Copeifera lansdorfii Desf., Cupania vernalis Camb., Matayba guianensis Aublet, Virola sebifera Aublet, Ocotea densiflora Meissn and Didimopanax morototoni (Aublet) Dcne et Pl.

  • We consider dynamical dark energy models based on a minimally coupled scalar field with three different potentials: the inverse power-law, SUGRA and double exponential potentials. For each model, we derived perturbation initial conditions in the early epoch and performed the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis to explore the parameter space that is favored by the current cosmological observations like Planck CMB anisotropy, type Ia supernovae, and baryon acoustic oscillation data. The analysis has been done by using the modified CAMB/COSMOMC code in which the dynamical evolution of the scalar field perturbations are fully considered. The MCMC constraints on the cosmological as well as potential parameters are derived. In the talk we will present a progress report.

  • Purpose: Breast cancer is the commonest malignancy of females throughout the world with one million new cases each year. In Pakistan, the burden of breast cancer disease is high with late stage presentation being a common feature, more than half being stage III or stage IV. The objective of this study was to study various aspects, patterns and risk factors in breast cancer patients of Balochistan. Method: Present study was performed on 134 patients of breast cancer who were registered in CENAR. The patients were interviewed by providing a questionnaire. Informed consent was taken from all the patients who took part in this study after explanation of the study aims. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated andbiopsy reports were obtained from patients files. All the cases were classified with respect to age, gender, ethnic group (Baloch, Pashtoon, Punjabi, Afghani, Hazara) BMI, cancer type, cancer grade, hormonal status, side of the cancer, fertility and marital status. Results: Out of 134 patients, the most common ethnic group was Pashtoon with a total of 42 and the common age group was 41-50 years with a total of 51. Invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) was the most common type, accounting for in 128 patients (95.5%) followed by invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). Conclusion: Pashtoon was the most common ethnic group, IDC was common type and most of the patients had an ER/PR positive hormonal status.
