The Introduction of Egg-Cam Clay Model and Elasto-Plastic Analysis of Reinforcement Effect on Buried Pipe (Egg-Cam Clay 모델 제안 및 지중매설관의 보강효과의 탄소성모델 해석)

  • In this study, stress-deformation characteristics of buried pipe are studied. A numerical model, i.e., Egg-Cam Clay is introduced for the analysis of soft clay. Cam Clay model has a difficulty in analyzing soft clay that has two properties of shrinkage and swelling. Egg-Cam Clay model is modified format of Cam Clay model. In addition, Mohr-Coulomb model using finite element method is employed to verify effects of the geogrid, EPS geofoam. Stress deformation of several cases of pipe and other reinforcemnt material combinations are analyzed. Geofoam and geogrid have positive effects on the deformation characteristics.

  • It is very important that establishing the valve train equations and representing the behavior of the valve train parts. To maintain the specific efficiency of running engine, the cam profile of valve train has more specific influence on the adequate behavior of the valve train than a valve clearance, heat-resistance and durability of parts. The polynomial cam, the multipol cam and polydyne cam profie are widely used to represent cam behaviour. In this study, using polydyne cam design profile equations which is more adequate for representing high speed engine, the geometrical modeling and mathmatical variable analysis are established to analysis the valve behaviour.

  • In this paper, we have interested in cooperative intelligent transport system and autonomous driving system, and focused on analysis of the characteristics of Cooperative Awareness Message (CAM) and Decentralized Environmental Notification Basis Service (DENM) message, which is key delivery message among cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS) characteristics for research objectivity. For research method, we also described V2X communication, and also analyzed the security certificate and header structure of CAM and DENM messages. We described CAM message, which is a message informing the position and status of the vehicle. And the DENM message is presented a message informing an event such as a vehicle accident, and analysis security communication, which is supported services. According to standard analysis result, 186 bits or 275 bits are used. In addition to the security header and the certificate format used for vehicle communication, we have gained the certificate verification procedure for vehicles and PKI characteristics for vehicles. Also We derived the characteristics and transmission capability of the security synchronization pattern required for V2X secure communication. Therefore when it is considered for communication service of DENM and CAM in the C-ITS environment, this paper may be meaningful result.

A Study on Optimum Cam Profile Extraction Considering Dynamic Characteristics of a Cam-Valve System (밸브 기구의 동특성을 고려한 캠 형상 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this work, a numerical and experimental study was done to get an optimum cam profile considering dynamic characteristics of a cam-valve system. First of all, a four degree of freedom dynamic model was set up for an OHV type cam-valve acceleration while not modifying original cam shape greatly. Also another optimization which aims to enlarge the valve displacement area while reducing the peak valve acceleration, was tried. The optimized cam profile was tested experimentally and found that the measured valve displacement and pushrod force show only very small error from the analytically predicted model simulation results.

  • The objective of this study is to understand the dynamic characterictics of OHV type valve trains and to design and optimal cam profile which will improve engine performance. A numerical model for valve train dynamics is presented, which aims at both accuracy and computational efficiency. The lumped mass model and distributed parameter model were used to describe the valve train dynamics. Nonlinear characterictics in the valve spring behavior were included in the model. Comprehensive experiments were carried out concerning the valve train dynamics, and the model was tuned based on the test results. The dynamic model was used in designing an optimal cam profile. Because the objective function has many local minima, a conventional local optimizer cannot be used to find an optimal solution. A modified adaptive random search method is successfully employed to solve the problem. Cam lobe area could be increased up to 7.3% without any penalties in kinematic and dynamic behaviors of the valve train.

  • In this paper a content addressable memory (CAM) is designed by adopting best-match method. It has a single processing element(PE) architecture with high computational efficiency and throughput. It is composed of three main functional blocks(input MUX, best-match CAM, control part). It support fully parallel processing. Logic simulation is completed by using QUICKSIM, Circuit simulation is performanced by using HSPICE. Its layout is based on the ETRI 3 m n-well process design rules. Its maximum operating frequency is 20 MHz.

  • In this study both the experimental and the analytic approach to find load characteristics on the cam-valve mechanism for matrine diesel engine were demonstrated. The experiment was per-formed with a test rig consisted of real engine components for cam-valve mechanism of overhead valve type. The 9-degree of freedom lumped mass model was developed to simulate cam-valve motion throughly. Behavior of the load acting on the cam-valve mechanism was estimated for the various cam speed. The load variation was getting deeper with the higher cam speed and the jumping of the follower was shown both in the experiment and in the simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 얼굴 추적을 위하여 기존의 CamShift 알고리즘의 단점을 보완한 새로운 CamShift 알고리즘을 제안한다. 배경 내 추적 객체와 색상이 유사한 객체가 존재할 경우 기존 CamShift 알고리즘은 불안정한 추적을 보여준다. 이러한 문제점을 화소 단위로 거리정보를 획득할 수 있는 Kinect 의 깊이 정보와 HSV 색공간 기반의 피부색 후보영역을 추출하는 Skin Detection 알고리즘을 이용하여 색상분포만 이용하는 기존의 CamShift 의 단점을 보완한다. 또한 추적하던 객체가 사라지거나 가려짐이 발생할 경우에도 다시 추적할 수 있는 특징점 기반의 매칭 알고리즘을 통하여 차폐영역에 강인한 특성을 가지게 한다. 이러한 향상된 CamShift 알고리즘을 사람의 얼굴 추적에 적용함으로써 다양한 분야에 활용 가능한 강인한 얼굴추적 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 실험결과 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존의 추적 알고리즘인 TLD 보다 월등히 빠른 처리속도와 더 우수한 추적성능을 보여주었고, CamShift 보다 조금 느리지만 기존의 CamShift 가 가지고 있는 문제점들을 해결하였다.

Real-time Face Tracking Method using Improved CamShift (향상된 캠쉬프트를 사용한 실시간 얼굴추적 방법)

  • This paper first discusses the disadvantages of the existing CamShift Algorithm for real time face tracking, and then proposes a new Camshift Algorithm that performs better than the existing algorithm. The existing CamShift Algorithm shows unstable tracking when tracing similar colors in the background of objects. This drawback of the existing CamShift is resolved by using Kinect’s pixel-by-pixel depth information and the Skin Detection algorithm to extract candidate skin regions based on HSV color space. Additionally, even when the tracking object is not found, or when occlusion occurs, the feature point-based matching algorithm makes it robust to occlusion. By applying the improved CamShift algorithm to face tracking, the proposed real-time face tracking algorithm can be applied to various fields. The results from the experiment prove that the proposed algorithm is superior in tracking performance to that of existing TLD tracking algorithm, and offers faster processing speed. Also, while the proposed algorithm has a slower processing speed than CamShift, it overcomes all the existing shortfalls of the existing CamShift.

  • 멀티미디어가 발달함에 딸 이를 위한 다양한 검색 기법들이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 WeCAM 시스템에서 비디오 검색을 하기 위한 텍스처 성분과 영상의 윤곽선 특징을 동시에 이용한 검색 기법을 제안한다. 텍스처 특성 추출에는 8$\times$8 블록 DCT를 기반으로한 DCT-par와 DCT-energy 기법을 적용하고 윤곽선 추출에는 DCT의 대각선 계수를 이용하는 기법을 이용한다. WebCAM으로 생성된 비디오는 MPEG표준을 따르는 것으로 가정하고 있으며, 압축된 데이터에 디코딩 과정없이 직접 검색 기법을 적용함으로써 처리 시간을 단축할수 있다는 장점이 있다.
