The Development of 3D Printing Primary Education Program Using CAD SW (CAD SW를 이용한 3D 프린팅 초등 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • As promotion of the 3D printer supply policy, need for 3D printer education is emphasized. But it is few that study of 3D printing educational program teachers can utilize at school. Especially study of CAD SW is very urgent because most of the CAD SW for 3D modeling is difficult and expensive. So in this study, we examine the CAD SW for educational purposes and propose educational programs that can be used at primary school. The instructional model is called "MDIAP" which consists of five stages : Motivation, Demonstration, Imitation, Application, Presentation. Instructional process is consisted of performing tasks and projects. We expect to enhance the function of 3D modeling and creative thinking which is essential to the Fourth Industrial Revolution society.

Comparative analysis of distance measurement on the rendering screen between dental CAD programs (치과용 CAD 프로그램의 렌더링 화면상 거리측정 비교분석)

  • Purpose: This study was to find out whether the rendering screen difference affect to measuring distance in a CAD program according to three types of CAD programs. Materials and methods: The model presented in ISO 12836 for dental scanner evaluation was reduced by 70%. This model was repeatedly scanned 15 times using Trios II (3Shape, Denmark). Using the output STL file, 3Shape CAD, inLab 15, and ExoCAD programs were used to measure the horizontal distance (H) and vertical distance (V) between adjacent point angle, and for each experiment, three groups were set according to the CAD program type. Statistical analysis was performed using One-way ANOVA test and post hoc was performed using Dunnett T3 test. Results: In the horizontal and vertical distance measurement, there was no difference in the average of the measured values between the three groups according to the CAD program (P>.05). Conclusion: There were no effect of the difference in the rendering screen in the horizontal and vertical linear distance measurements of the inlay model on the dental CAD program.

  • With the advent of computers, CAD systems are widely used for various design practice. Complexity of CAD systems and difficulty of exchanging data among different CAD systems, however, do not allow efficient use as desired. In addition, to follow variety of designers' need, CAD activities should be customized. This article proposed a methodology fer developing an intelligent CAD system and the sate-of-the-art technologies described fur customizing CAD systems using API (Application Programming Interface). A basic platform is proposed and a useful application system is implemented to enable a parametric design by directly inputting numerical values on a CAD model. Based on this application, we developed a system that makes it possible to share part family data between SolidEdge and Pro/Engineer. The proposed concept on intelligent CAD systems facilitates integration of external systems such as CAE tools and promotes the use of CAD for both engineering designers and analysts.

  • In this study surface modeling .method with 3D curve net is proposed. For surface modeling, ship hull was divided into several parts, Generated surface was loaded general purpose CAD program through IGES file format, and the quality of generated surface model was checked by CATIA's internal function. Lastly it is tried to find a method for improving the accuracy of surface connection by using the blending method in CATIA and the result was discussed.

  • Does CAD technology have a possibility to promote new logics of design thinking and form-creation? Starting with such a question, this study inquires into soical constructions of linear perspective and CAD programs. Using a concept of the modelling interface as an analytical frame, this study discusses; 1) a historical process in which the linear perspective, as a drawing-oriented modelling interface, had permeated its geometrical principles into the artificial environment and justified them in a dimension of the aesthetic discourse, 2) technological contexts in which computer-based modelling interfaces such CAD programs were developed and separated from the tradition of the linear perspective, with the introduction of new kinds of modelling algorithms and graphic user interfaces.

  • In order to improve in quality and productivity using the CNC machine tools, it has been endeavored to elevate production process by adding supplementary axes(2 axes) to 2,3 axial CNC machine tools. It is because the movement between the progress of work in processed goods is remarkably decreased more than that of general CNC machine tools that productivity improvement with precision maintenance can be improved. VBScript in CAD/CAM is applied to utilize CNC machine tools added supplementary axes so that Multi-axial &Multi-process manufacturin g program can be conveniently drawn up. However, there is generally much skilful work and operation by the manual program of CAD(2.5D) and CNC machine tools in the filed. As a result of conducting an experiment by COM-filing VBScript at the spot of Insert Tip for milling Face Cutter in CAD/CAM Software(2.5D), it was not only timesaving to draw up program but also more convenient than complicated Multi CAD/CAM Software to approach and possible to program various products instantaneously.

  • 본 논문은 사출금형 설계를 위한 전문가 시스템의 개발에 관한 연구이다. 설계자가 오토케드 (AutoCAD)환경에서 금형부품 및 몰드베이스를 3차원 형상으로 나타낼 수 있으며 필요한 설계 데이터를 추가할수 있는 프로그램 개발에 있다. 주 프로그램은 C++를 사용하여 구축하였으며,금형부품 치수 및 몰 드베이스를 데이터베이스화 하였다. 주 프로그램과 오토캐드와 인터페이스를 하여 오토캐드 환경에서 자 유롭게 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. Pull-down menu와 Dialog box를 이용하여 금형 설계자가 금형의 각 부 품을 자유롭게 선정할 수 있으며, 각 단계별 선정된 금형부품은 즉시 나타나 설계자가 바로 확인 할 수 있도록 하였다. 이젝터 핀의 위치 및 크기를 자동적으로 나타낼수 있으며, 선정된 금형 부품 및 몰드베이 스는 2차원이나 3차원으로 나타낼 수 있다. 각각의 3차원 부품을 독립적으로 나타낼 수 있어 NC프로그램과 인터페이스가 가능토록 하였다.

기계요소부품의 설계자동화를 위한 CAD 소프드웨어 개발

  • 컴퓨터 기술의 증진으로 일반산업 부문에서의 CAD(computer-aided design)의 역할이 급진적 으로 향상되고 있다. CAD의 분야별 적용 업무로서는 기본. 기능설계, 기술계산 및 해석, 상세 설계, 제도 및 문서작성으로 포괄되며, 각 분야별 특정용도의 CAD용 소프트웨어가 외국에서 활발히 개발 및 상품화되어 국내에서도 도입하여 그 이용도를 넓혀 나가고 있다. 대체로 상 품화된 CAD용 소프트웨어는 금형의 설계, 제도, 기술계산 및 해석용으로 크게 분류되며, 그 외 로는 기구학적 해석 및 동적해소용 소프트웨어가 주류를 이루고 있다. 또한 기본기능 설계 및 상세설계가 제품의 제작에 매우 중요한 단계로서 CAD의 필요성이 강조되며 이 분야에 적용 가능한 기계요소의 CAD화가 시급히 요청된다. 기계 요소 CAD프로그램의 개발을 위하여 그 래픽 패키지가 요구되는데, 패키지는 여러 기종의 그래픽 터미널에 사용되도록 개발되어야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 개발대상인 기계요소부품과 그 연구범위를 소개하고 그래픽 패키지의 구조를 설명하며 개발된 CAD프로그램의 적용예로서 인식향상을 도모하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 산업 현장에서 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용되는 CAD 소프트웨어를 이용하여 모든 기계류에 공통적으로 쓰이는 기본적인 기계 요소들에 대한 자동 설계 시스템을 구축하려는데 목적을 둔다. 이는 단순히 제도 수준에만 머무르고 있는 현재의 CAD 시스템에 사용 조건에 맞는 기계요소에 대한 강도를 평가하여 적절한 기계 부품을 자동적으로 선정하고 도면으로 보여 주는 기능을 부여하여 생산성을 높이는데 그 의미가 있다. 또한 설계 과정의 자동화 가능성 여부에 대한 타당성을 검토하고자 한다. 연구방법으로는 C언어를 이용하여 각 기계 부품에 대한 설계(선정) 프로그램과 데이타 베이스 관리 프로그램을 작성하고, LISP언어를 이용하여 선정된 기계 부품을 자동적으로 그려 주는 방안을 제시한다. 개발에 사용된 CAD 소프트웨어는 PC에서 가장 많이 사용되는 AutoCAD를 사용한다.

An Application of Knit Design Process Using a Knit CAD Program (니트 캐드 프로그램을 활용한 니트디자인 프로세스 적용 방안)

  • The knitwear industry requires ways to satisfy a changing environment. This study suggests a knitwear design process using a knit CAD program. Such a process needs to implement a CAD system that develops a sufficient knit design system to advance the knitwear industry in both planning and manufacturing. In order to contextualize this research, this study reviewed the current state and problems of the knitwear industry and the market, and investigated the actual condition in which the CAD system is used in knit design by CAD system service providers. The findings of the study are as follows: First, All brands had individual ways to reduce the amount of lead-time. The knit designers pointed out that any given sample product is made in the form of a swatch; after the knitting step and prior to the manufacturing process. In women's wear brands, basting was inserted into the production process in order to reduce the amount of sample losses. Second, a CAD program enables the uses of swatches to see the adequacy of yams, textures, and style that simulate the completed style. Third, this study examined the efficiency of knit design process conducted by the knit design CAD system based on expert assessments, showing that the use of a knit CAD program in commercial knit design proved to be more efficient than in previous models.
