In this paper, performance analysis of video traffic shaper for Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG) video traffic in on ATM network are investigated. Traffic shaping for MPEG video traffic is proposed as a traffic control function in ATM networks. The proposed shaper smoothes video traffics by controling the output rate of the buffer, which is placed in an MPEG source, according to I,B,P frame sequences of MPEG. In performance analysis of an video traffic shaper, a periodic botch arrival model is suggested to describe cell streams in a frame of MPEG video traffic. The queueing model which has periodic independent botch arrival and periodic deterministic service time is used to obtain the cell loss ratio, the mean cell delay, and the measure of smoothing effect. Simulation results are used to validate this queueing model. The cell loss performance of ATM multiplexer is measured by simulation study with real MPEG-1 data. From the viewpoint of traffic load, the cell loss ratio is observed to be considerably high, which is considered to result from the burstiness of MPEG video traffic. As a result, it is shown that the shaping decreases cell loss ratio of multiplexer. The results of this paper can be employed to establish a basic guideline in the implementation of a traffic control scheme and the design of ATM multiplexer for MPEG video traffic.
Objective: Psychomotor imagery has been widely used to improve motor performance and motor learning. Recent research suggests that during visualization, changes occur in neurophysiological networks that make physical practice more effective in configuring functional networks for skillful behaviors. The aim of our pilot study was to determine if there was change and to what extent there was differentiation in modulation in electroencephalography (EEG) frequencies between visualizing a state of rest and a state of exercise performance and to identify the preponderant frequency. Design: Quasi-experimental design uncontrolled before and after study. Methods: EEG brain wave activity was recorded from 0-40 Hz from nine cerebral cortical scalp regions F3, Fz, F4, C3, Cz, C4, P3, POz, and P4 with a wireless telemetric EEG system. The subjects, while sitting on a chair with eyes closed, were asked to visualize themselves in a state of routine rest/relaxation and after a period of time in a state of their routine exercise performance. Results: The gamma frequency, 31-40 Hz, (${\gamma}$) was the predominant wave band in differentiation between visualizing a state of rest versus visualizing a state of exercise performance. Conclusions: We suggest these preliminarily findings show the EEG electrocortical activity for athletes is differentially modulated during visualization of exercise performance in comparison to rest with a predominant ${\gamma}$ wave band frequency observed during the state of exercise. Further controlled experimental studies will be performed to elaborate these observations and delineate the significance to optimization of psychomotor exercise performance.
Recently, there is a growing interest in vegetable oils, cheap and abundant renewable natural resources. Vegetable oils can be used as raw materials for ecofriendly biodegradable polymer materials. In this study, poly(${\beta}$-amino esters) were synthesized by polymerization reaction of acrylated epoxidized soybean oil (AESO) and 2-aminoethanol. Various polymer films were prepared by changing the molar ratio of AESO to 2-aminoethanol. The formation of C-N bonds in poly(${\beta}$-amino ester) was confirmed using FT-IR. Gel contents higher than 98% confirmed the synthesis of crosslinked polymer networks. Tensile strengths and elongation at breaks of polymer films ranged from 0.3 to 1.3 MPa and 32 to 55%, respectively. Polymer films degraded 2 to 7% of the initial weight in 35 days in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.2) containing lipase enzyme.

The core components of ABA-dependent gene expression signaling have been identified in Arabidopsis and rice. This signaling pathway consists of four major components; group A OsbZIPs, SAPKs, subclass A OsPP2Cs and OsPYL/RCARs in rice. These might be able to make thousands of combinations through interaction networks resulting in diverse signaling responses. We tried to characterize those gene functions using transient gene expression for rice protoplasts (TGERP) because it is instantaneous and convenient system. Firstly, in order to monitor the ABA signaling output, we developed reporter system named pRab16A-fLUC which consists of Rab16A promoter of rice and luciferase gene. It responses more rapidly and sensitively to ABA than pABRC3-fLUC that consists of ABRC3 of HVA1 promoter in TGERP. We screened the reporter responses for over-expression of each signaling components from group A OsbZIPs to OsPYL/RCARs with or without ABA in TGERP. OsbZIP46 induced reporter most strongly among OsbZIPs tested in the presence of ABA. SAPKs could activate the OsbZIP46 even in the ABA independence. Subclass A OsPP2C6 and -8 almost completely inhibited the OsbZIP46 activity in the different degree through the SAPK9. Lastly, OsPYL/RCAR2 and -5 rescued the OsbZIP46 activity in the presence of SAPK9 and OsPP2C6 dependent on ABA concentration and expression level. By using TGERP, we could characterize successfully the effects of ABA dependent gene expression signaling components in rice. In conclusion, TGERP represents very useful technology to study systemic functional genomics in rice or other monocots.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the changes in electroencephalogram (EEG) coherence and brain wave activity for first-person perspective action observation (1AO) and third-person perspective action observation (3AO) of healthy subjects. Methods: Thirty healthy subjects participated in this study. EEG was simultaneously recorded during the Relax period, the 1AO, and the 3AO, with event-related desynchronization (ERD) and coherence connectivity process calculations for brain wave (alpha, beta and mu) rhythms in relation to the baseline. Results: Participants showed increased coherence in beta wave activity in the frontal and central areas (p<0.05), during the 1AO using right-hand activity. Conversely, the coherence of the alpha wave decreased statistically significantly decreased in the frontocentral and parieto-occipital networks during the observation of the 1AO and the 3AO. The ERD values were larger than 40% for both central regions but were slightly higher for the C4 central region. The high relative power of the alpha wave during 1AO and 3AO was statistically significantly decreased in the frontal, central, parietal, and occipital regions. However, the relative power of the beta wave during 1AO and 3AO was statistically significantly increased in the parietal and occipital regions. Especially during 1AO, the relative power of the beta wave in the C3 area was statistically significantly increased (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that 1AO and 3AO action observations are relevant to modifications of specific brain wave coherence and ERD values. EEG cortical activity during action observation may contribute to neural reorganization and to adaptive neuroplasticity in clinical intervention.

Photovoltaic power generation requires MPPT algorithm to track stable and efficient maximum power output power point according to external changes such as solar radiation and temperature. This study implemented a model that could track MPP more quickly than original MPPT algorithm using artificial neural network. The proposed model finds the current and voltage of MPP using the original MPPT algorithm for various combinations of insolation and temperature for training data of artificial neural networks. The acquired MPP data was learned using the input node as insolation and temperature and the output node as the current and voltage. The Experiment results show tracking time of the original algorithms P&O, InC and Fuzzy were respectively 0.428t, 0.49t and 0.4076t for the 0t~0.3t range, and MPP tracking time of the proposed model was 0.32511t and it is 0.1t faster than the original algorithms.
By screening a cDNA library of auxin-treated mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) hypocotyls, we have isolated two full-length cDNA clones, pVR-ACS6 and pVR-ACS7, for 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) synthase, the rate-limiting enzyme in the ethylene biosynthetic pathway. While PVR-ACS6 corresponds to the previously identified PCR fragment pMBA1, pVR-ACS7 is a new cDNA clone. A comparison of deduced amino acid sequences among auxin-induced ACC synthases reveal that these enzymes share a high degree of homology (65-75%) to VR-ACS6 and VR-ACS7 polypeptides, but only about 50% to VR-ACS1 polypeptide. ACS6 and ACS7 are specifically induced by auxin, while ACS1 is induced by cycloheximide, and to lesser extent by excision and auxin treatment. Results from nuclear run-on transcription assay and RNA gel blot studies revealed that all three genes were transcriptionally active displaying unique patterns of induction by IAA and various hormones in etiolated hypocotyls. Particularly, 24-epibrassinolide (BR), an active brassinosteroid, specifically enhanced the expression of VR-ACS7 by distinct temporal induction mechanism compared to that of IAA. In addition, BR synergistically increased the IAA-induced VR-ACS6 and VR-ACS7 transcript levels, while it effectively abolished both the IAA- and kinetin-induced accumulation of VR-ACS1 mRNA. In light-grown plants, VR-ACS1 was induced by IAA in roots, whereas W-ACS6 in epicotyls. IAA- and BR-treatments were not able to increase the VR-ACS7 transcript in the light-grown tissues. These results indicate that the expression of ACC synthase multigene family is regulated by complex hormonal and developmental networks in a gene- and tissue-specific manner in mung bean plants. The VR-ACS7 gene was isolated, and chimeric fusion between the 2.4 kb 5'-upstream region and the $\beta$-glucuronidase (GUS) reporter gene was constructed and introduced into Nicotiana tobacum. Analysis of transgenic tobacco plants revealed the VR-ACS7 promoter-driven GUS activity at a highly localized region of the hypocotyl-root junction of control seedlings, while a marked induction of GUS activity was detected only in the hypocotyl region of the IAA-treated transgenic seedlings where rapid cell elongation occurs. Although there was a modest synergistic effect of BR on the IAA-induced GUS activity, BR alone failed to increase the GUS activity, suggesting that induction of VR-ACS7 occurs via separate signaling pathways in response to IAA and BR.

Recently, the great number of mobile devices causes excessive data/control traffic problems in the centralized LTE/EPC network and such dramatically increased traffic is emerging as a critical issue. In the Centralized Mobility Management (CMM) based LTE/EPC network, the Packet Data Network Gateway (P-GW) plays the centralized mobility anchor role and it accommodates most of data traffic. To solve this problem, the IETF has proposed the Distributed Mobility Management (DMM) scheme, but it has only focused on the data traffic load balancing and could not solve the control traffic overload problem. In this paper, therefore, we propose a new SDN based hybrid CMM/DMM Mobility Management (C-DMM) architecture based on Packet Network Edge Gateway (P-EGW), and introduce a selection scheme between CMM and DMM according to a device's mobility and the number of PDN connections. In order to prove the efficiency of the proposed architecture and scheme, we compare the data traffic processing load and the control traffic processing load over each scheme by emulating them in the ONOS controller and the Mininet environment.
A novel two-dimensional cadmium(II)-nickel(II) bimetallic host clathrate, $[Cd{NH_2CH_2CH_2OH}_2Ni(CN)_4]{\cdot}3C_6H_5NH_2{\cdot}H_2O$, 1, has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single crystallographic method. The clathrate 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group $P2_1/c$ with a = 14.370(3), b = 7.728(1), c = 28.172(4) ${\AA}$, ${\beta}=97.58(1)^{\circ}$, V = 3101.1(9) ${\AA}^3$, Z = 4. The host framework of the clathrate 1 is built of the cyanide bridges between octahedral Cd(II) atom and square planar Ni(II) atom. The octahedral Cd atoms ligated by two 2-aminoethanol molecules and four cyanide ligands bridged with square planar Ni atoms. The Ni atoms bridges to four Cd atoms via cyanides is made up of puckered quadrangles of composition $\{CdNi(CN)_2\}_2$, all edges are shared. This cyanide bridges form an infinite two-dimensional host networks stacking along b axis. 2-Aminoethanol ligands bond to Cd atom through N atom as a monodentate ligand in the axial position and four cyanides take an equatorial plane with all in trans-configurations. The aniline guest molecules and water molecules are located in between the host layer sheets, respectively.
The crystal and molecular structure of sulfaguanidine monohydrate, $C_7H_{10}N_4O_2S{\cdot}H_2O$, was determined from visually estimated intensity data from Weissenberg photographs. The crystal data are monoclinic, space group $P2_1$/c with four molecules in a unit cell of dimensions, ${\alpha}=7.57{\pm}0.03,\;b=5.44{\pm}0.02,\;c=24.76{\pm}0.06{\AA},\;{\beta}=91.0{\pm}0.2^{\circ}$. The structure has been solved by an interpretation of a Patterson map and with a help of a direct procedure on a projection. The parameters were refined isotropically by block-diagonal least-squares methods using 1542 observed independent reflections to give R = 0.14. By hydrogen bonding a guanidyl nitrogen of a sulfaguanidine molecule is linked to the sulfonyl oxygens of the other molecules indirectly through two different water molecules. The role of water molecule is both a donor and an acceptor in hydrogen-bonding formation and these hydrogen bonds are tetrahedrally oriented. The hydrogen-bonding networks form infinite molecular layers parallel to (001) plane.
