The objective of this study is to experimentally investigate the cooling performance characteristics with the consideration of the temperature variations of the enclosure of the 400W ferrofluid active speaker having both woofer and amplifier heat sinks. In order to do this, the heat sinks for both woofer and amplifier was designed ant applied to 400W ferrofluid active speaker. As a result, the cooling performance of the developed 400W ferrofluid active speaker was improved and the temperature of the enclosure after 120 min at steady state increased by $2.8^{\circ}C$ with the increase of the outdoor temperatures from $25^{\circ}C$ to $29^{\circ}C$. In addition, the overall sound pressure level of the developed 400W ferrofluid active speaker showed 111.8 dB and improved 1.9 dB higher than 109.9 dB of the existed speaker.
An ultrawide stopband lowpass filter is reported using three stepped impedance resonators with high selectivity. The filter extends the stopband frequency range and attenuation, and two quarter-wave open stubs and three circular ground slots are introduced. The lumped and distributed equivalent models are derived and analyzed. The corresponding results are validated experimentally in a fabricated prototype. The prototype lowpass filter has a 3 dB cutoff frequency (fc) of 2.9 GHz, and the stopband is extended up to 35 GHz (12.07fc), with an attenuation level better than 20 dB throughout. The passband-to-stopband transition (3 dB-20 dB) bandwidth is 0.18 GHz, and the roll-off factor is 135 dB/GHz at 30 dB. The insertion loss is 0.3 dB at 1.6 GHz. The normalized circuit size of the proposed filter with respect to the guided wavelength is 0.04.

This study is a continuous work for the standardization of children's kimchi preparation. In order to find out the proper red pepper powder for children's kimchi, four kinds of red pepper powder(A, B, C, D) sold in Kyungsang province were used as samples. The proximate composition, color value, capsaicinoids concentration and sugar content in four kinds of the red pepper powder were determined, and sensory evaluation of kimchi Prepared with those was carried out for different fermentation times. Moisture contents of red pepper powder A, B, C and D were in the range of 11.59~13.48%. Lipid and ash contents of samples were in the range of 7.59~8.39% and 4.34~7.45%, respectively. In comparision of color values measured by a Hunter colorimeter, red pepper powder A showed the highest value for a and b values. Also A showed the brightest color as measured in ASTA color and L value. Capsaicin concentration of D and dihydrocapsaicin concentration of C were found to be the highest among the sanlples. The capsaicin equivalent was in tile order of D>C>A>B. The content of total sugar was in the order of B>A>D>C. In the sensory evaluation of children's kimchi prepared with four kinds of red pepper powder, the color and total acceptability of kimchi prepared with A were found to be the best. The results of sensory evaluation between kimchi prepared with A and school supplied kimchi showed that the former was better. And the composition of A red pepper powder was as follows: capsaicin equivalent 24.l5mg%, total sugar content 15.79% and ASTA color value 178.2.

In this paper, a coupled-defected ground structure(C-DGS) using negative inductive coupling is proposed and a bandstop filter(BSF) using C-DGS is designed and fabricated. The proposed C-DGS is the closely-located DGS cells for the negative coupling, the negative coupling of ground currents between adjacent DGS cells greatly improves the stopband characteristics. The proposed BSF utilizing the sharp cutoff response of the C-DGS has a -10 dB rejection band from 4 GHz to 11.3 GHz. A maximum attenuation rate is -64.3 dB/GHz in 3 cell structure, -108 dB/GHz in 5 cell structure. The C-DGS BSF shows the improved attenuation rate 3.8 times in 3 cell structure, 2.4 times in 5 cell structure, Also, the C-DGS BSF is reduced to 35.2 % and 40 % of the DGS BSF, respectively, due to the closely-located DGS cells. We fabricated the single gate mixer using C-DGS BSF. The single gate mixer has 6.6 dB conversion gain.

In this paper, we designed a highly suppressed sidelobe ladder type RF SAW bandpass filter based on 1-port resonator, for 800 MHz mobile communication system. In order to get the highest device characteristics, we optimized some important parameters such as the electrode thickness, electrode lambda weghting of the reflectors, and static capacitance ratio. Furthermore, we fabricated the Tx and Rx. filter using optimized parameters. Implemented filters can be used in 800 MHz mobile communication system and external impedance matching circuits are not needed. RF filter was fabricated on 36$^{\circ}$LiTaO$_3$ substrates with Al-Cu (W 3 %)and mounted 3.8mm$\times$3.8mm$\times$1.5mm SMD package. Developed filters has 2.3 dB insertion loss in the 25 MHz pass-band, 33MHz with 3-dB insertion loss, stop-band rejection of 30 dB, passband ripple is less than 0.5 The power durability of the filters measured about 3.5W and the maximum temperature variation within -2$0^{\circ}C$~8$0^{\circ}C$ was 0.09 dB/$^{\circ}C$ of 3-dB insertion loss.

We analyze the performance of MC-CDMA and MC-DS/CDMA system on quasi-synchronized moble satellite return link. Quasi-synchronization is considered that chip offset between terminals is within a few chips. In 10-3 BER, performance of MC-DS/CDMA system with walsh code is 0.3dB better than that of MC-CDMA system when the number of user is 5 from -0.5 $T_{c}$ to 0.5 $T_{c}$ quasi-synchronization of MC-DS/CDMA system and from -5/64 $T_{c}$$^{MC}$ to 5/64 $T_{c}$$^{MC}$ quasi-synchronization of MC-CDMA system. MC-DS/CDMA system with walsh code is over 0.2dB better than that of MC-DS/CDMA system with extended m code and gold code. MC-CDMA system with walsh code is over 1.2dB better than that of MC-CDMA system with gold code when the number of user is 5 and lower than from -5/32 $T_{c}$$^{MC}$ to 5/32 $T_{c}$$^{MC}$ quasi-synchronization.
This study was carried out to examine the quality of Korean pork regular loins and hams which m exported in Japanese market. The samples were stored at 0${\pm}$1$^{\circ}C$(A, B companies) and 2${\pm}$1$^{\circ}C$(C, D companies). In analysis of Korean pork exported to Japanese market, the pork of A and D companies showed below 10$\^$6/CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ of total aerobic bacteria at 40 days storage and panels felt off-flavor after 40 days. Therefore the edible period will be 40 days through the analysis of microbe and sensory test in porks of A and D companies. The porks of B and C companies showed over 10$\^$6/CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ of total aerobic bacteria at 50 days storage and panels couldn't feel off-flavor in sensory test after 50 days. Therefore the edible period will be 50 days through the analysis of microbe and sensory test in porks of B and C companies. As the results, shelf-life of A and D companies will be 32 days and B and C companies will be 40 days from edible period by a factor of 0.8. In analysis of stored pork for export in Korean market, the porks of A and B companies showed over 10$\^$6/CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 40 days storage and C and D companies did over 10$\^$6/CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 30 days storage in analysis of microbe. The pork of A and D companies showed 10$^4$CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ but B and C companies did 10$\^$5/CFU/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 50 days in coliform count. Therefore shelf-life of the pork of A company was logest and the next were B and C, but shelf-life of the pork of D company was 20 days, therefore it was even shorter than the others.
The study of the Rana plancyi, was done during the calling period at a pond in Osong, Chungbuk, Korea from May to the middle of August of 1996 and 1997. Five basic types of call-A, B, C, D, E, - were identified in Rana plancyi according to the structure of call types. The structure of A type call has only one pulse, B type call has two pulses and C, D type call has one separated pulse which is called introductory call and pulse group as follow it. On the other hand, E type call has 3-6 separate pulses. The interval between introductory call and pulse group is $0.73{\pm}0.29$ s(n=159) in C type call and $0.60{\pm}0.21$ s (n=48) in D type call. The number of pulses in the pulse group is $30.08{\pm}8.69$ in C type call and $15.78{\pm}2.40$ in D type call. An increase in water temperature induces a decrease in C and D type call duration (C type call r= -0.4153, p<0.001, D type call r=-0.7064, p<0.001). In case of C and D type call, the interval between introductory call and pulse group influenced more call duration than pulse group duration. We regarded A, B type call as a territorial call and C, D type call as a mating call and we recognized that E type call has the function of threat or alarm.

In this paper, a 110 dB, 1.024 MHz fourth-order single-loop Delta-Sigma sigma modulator has been presented with an over-sampling ratio of 128 and an overload factor of -6 dB for a bandwidth of 4 kHz. In particular, this ${\Sigma}-{\Delta}$ modulator is well suited for high accuracy measure systems. The whole modulator consumes only 3-mW from a single 3.3V supply in a $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology.
