This is an underlying study for expanding child growth and developmental screening program, which had been implemented as a part of maternal child health service in a certain public health center located in P City. This study attempted to develop system model to discover, consult and follow-up developmental disabilities in children in early stage. For the purpose of providing groundwork for further development of screening program, the system model was analyzed and evaluated. One of the focuses of this study was developing practical tool that can aid small number staffs of public health center to handle large number of patients. 9 types of developmental checklist by key month was developed to support understaffed public health center. These checklists were also supplied to other public health centers, greatly improving qualitative and quantitative development of screening project. Also, the 4-step program of operating and managing child growth and developmental screening was proved to be quite effective. Total 632 children were evaluated and 21 of them were suspected to have developmental problem. Among these children, 8 children were determined to receive regular supervision of public health center. Other 13 children were recommended to visit professional institution, but only 7 of them actually visited institution. Four of these children who visited professional institution are currently receiving treatment, while the other 3 children were determined to require close observation. Five times of screening education were provided to the staffs in public health center and personnel in charge of children in every district public center in P City. The purpose of this training was to improve individuals' capability to implement project and to establish basis for expanding child growth and developmental screening program. The participants were guided to have continuous attention for the project, and their knowledge, skill and recognition were greatly improved through educational training. Also, professional child consulting and education, including lecture for baby food and baby food menu exhibition, were given to parents. Through this opportunity, parents acquired higher understanding about baby food while the local residents' recognition for maternal child health service was greatly improved.

The legal basis for the systematic prevention and response to landslide hazards, and the rehabilitation of landslide-hit areas, was established through the amendment of the Forest Protection Act in August 2012. The most noticeable amendment to the Act is the inclusion of clauses associated with the designation and management of landslide-prone zones (including debris flow-prone zones). In this paper, we (1) introduce the clauses related to the designation and management of landslide-prone zones that were included in the amended Forest Protection Act, (2) examine their significance by reviewing the present status of related domestic laws and structural countermeasures such as sediment check dams for sediment-related disaster prevention, and (3) suggest the future directions of the procedure for the designation and cancellation of such zones, and their maintenance and institutional aspects. The establishment of an institutional device for the designation and management of landslide-prone zones has great significance in the aspect of (1) the establishment of a comprehensive management and prevention system for potential landslide-prone zones in forested areas where the hazard risk has been poorly recognized as compared with the flood risks in lowlands, and (2) the establishment of the basis for overcoming the limits of structural countermeasures according to limited budgets. To develop the designation and management system for landslide-prone zones, not only must present problems be addressed, but a cooperation system between the administration and local residents must also be established.
The purpose of this study is to configure the spaces and elements of the roof-garden plan that users regard as important, and to investigate their preferred spaces and facilities, ultimately providing basic information for the planning of user-directed roof gardens for local residents. A questionnaire survey was used as the research method, targeting roof-garden users in the L department store of Jeollabuk-do. A total of 225 people responded to the questionnaire, and 223 of them were used for this study. The collected data was analyzed in SPSS ver.18.0, using frequency, percentage, t-test, and one way ANOVA. The respondents preferred rest space the most, followed by the convenient space, landscaping and green space, and play and exercise space. Teenage students preferred the pool and artificial spaces, such as a fountain, and planned convenient spaces and rest spaces, such as a playground. Cafes and restaurants, chairs and tables, and walking trails should be considered for single women in their twenties. Due to the high population of married couples in their thirties, the preference for play facilities and safety facilities was higher than in other groups. The well-educated population in their forties, when viewed from their preference for landscaping and green space, requires the opportunity to rest in nature. The results of this study cannot be generalized since the study was directed at roof-garden users in a department store in Jeollabuk-do. However, it is possible to provide specific information about the user-directed roof-garden plan, since the study was analyzed together with various user variables.

Due to the impact of birth rate, the school age population decreases year by year, and as a result, the Ministry of Education conducts the layout adjustment for middle and primary schools and cancels substantial rural schools. Nearly half of the cancelled and idle schools are not applied till now. Combining the practical demand of local residents, it is quite necessary to make use of the idle schools effectively again. Consequently, field investigation is conducted for the architectural status of 28 idle schools in Pingle County of Guilin, Guangxi, and detail investigation and analysis has been carried out for the different scales of schools from various aspects, including the covered area, traffic, building construction, space composition, degree of aging, etc. The investigation result shows that small teaching schools are remote, being small in scale, single in space and serious in aging. Complete primary schools are close to the villages and towns, being large in scale, abundant in space, and well preserved. The teaching schools are between the previous two types. Meanwhile, it is generally convenient in traffic, and good in structure. It can provide fundamental data for the future utilization and study.

This paper pays attention to the fact that not only Gangnam but also cities outside Seoul that attempt to follow the Gangnam model are deeply involved in Korean developmental urbanism. It examines discursive materials such as newspaper articles, newspaper advertisements and online debates as significant sources of information showing how certain districts are materially and discursively constructed by diverse actors in the national capital and in other cities. The result of in-depth interviews lasting up to two hours reveals local residents' imagined geographies. The article emphasizes that the so-called "Gangnam problem" should be understood as existing beyond the physical, symbolic and administrative boundaries of Gangnam, in cities that follow the Gangnam model. This study helps to provide an epistemological foundation for more equitable, sustainable and de-developmental urbanism.
The study addressed a direction that environmental facilities along avenues will make a progress via urban environment as well as location marketing. The space is specified the campus avenue, which is located in Jongro-gu at Seoul. With the emergence of digital information era, both people' life style and behaviors have been changing in many different ways. As the first approach to the direction, the historical study of the avenue is examined by focusing on the change. All possible related status such as location marketing strategy and various spatial characteristics, environment of the avenue and its facilities are investigated and users' characteristics are analyzed. Through these processes, a new direction and role of design are proposed and are believed to improve the avenue' image and to rediscover its own identity and to make the avenue alive as it used to be. The new proposed direction showed how to approach to design as well as to system of environmental facilities along avenues and in addition to highlighting continuous and synthetic plan. Furthermore, It is expected that both the efforts to improve the avenue' image based on its own cultural characteristic and to foster the cultural-commercialized facilities will contribute to the local residents' life standard and its economic status.
There have been various studies being conducted to prepare for aging society due to the recent trend of rapid aging. The silver industry such as wellness, senior monitoring and support service, and emergency medical assistance services for the elderly is growing fast. However, due to economic problems, limited services are being provided. In addition, the problem of residence of elderly people and care of elderly patients are also becoming important issues to be solved. Aging in Place is emerging as an alternative to solve the problem of local deviation, controlled communication, and loss of self-sufficiency in the process of residents residing in the facility. In this paper, we propose IoT environment construction for ICT based Aging in Place information extension support. By building an IoT environment for Aging in Place support, users can be provided with services that can meet their needs in a familiar environment. The proposed method builds an environment that can be self-supporting based on the user's information and provides medical, transportation, and life support services for the elderly.

With the rapid progress of urbanization today, communities among members of society have collapsed. For dealing with the collapse of communities, special laws regarding urban regeneration revitalization and support were enforced and each local government founded community centers to revitalize urban village communities. These community centers were built to play a pivotal role in communities, but they have difficulties managing and supervising. Therefore, this study aims to provide basic data for community center planning and revitalization by examining and analyzing the present state of community center spaces for creation of communities among residents and the present state of use so the existing purpose of establishment as a base space of village community revitalization can be achieved in the future. For this study, first, in the literature review, the concepts of village community and community center were established, based on a theoretical consideration, and the need of research was identified through consideration of preceding studies. Second, in relation to the present state of use, the present state of community center spaces, programs, management and supervision, locations and populations was investigated and analyzed, and community center users' basic characteristics, satisfaction and consciousness of community centers were examined and analyzed. Based on this method and analysis, this study is focused on providing basic data for community center revitalization and planning.
The purpose of this study is to develop a business model that efficiently converts diesel power generation systems to renewable energy microgrids (MG) in large-scale islands. Most of the previous studies on the conversion of renewable energy MG in islands had limitations dealing with efficiency from the perspective of suppliers. However, the microgrid has the characteristic of getting benefits through the interaction between the consumer and the supplier. In addition, the efficient MG business model from the perspective of new institutional economics is a structure in which consumers and suppliers jointly participate. Therefore, this study assumed that the MG business model in which the supplier's MG and the consumer's community solar participated would benefit all participants, and verified the assumptions using domestic island data. In terms of supplier investment, the cost of power supply (LCOE) of assumed model was calculated to be 14.0% lower than that of the diesel model and 3.7% lower than that of the supplier-only MG model. From the perspective of consumer investment, electricity bills are expected to be reduced by more than 200,000 won per household per year through self-generation of solar power. Social benefits are expected to reduce external environmental costs. The CO2 emissions of the assumed model were calculated to be 39.5% lower than the diesel model and 1.5% lower than the supplier-only MG model. Therefore, the MG business model with consumer participation proposed in this study is expected to be an efficient alternative to renewable energy MG conversion in domestic islands, and is meaningful as an energy plan that improves the benefits of local residents.
The subject of this study is whether the relevant ordinances of Chungcheongnam-do's five local governments, operating intermediary support organizations for contracted-out community building, comply with the regional innovation and cooperative governance-based perspective. The examination results are summarized as follows. About the normative system: first, village building does not present that it is a participation- and cooperation-based collective activity of various related actors; second, the cooperative governance-based implementation system was not presented as a key term; third, "numerous relevant subjects' participation" and "democratic decision-making and cooperative promotion" are not presented as basic principles; fourth, the subjects are limited to residents and the administration, and only their responsibilities are presented. About the effectiveness system: first, the establishment of a master plan, a primary means, and the establishment of an in-charge department and collaboration system in the administration are presented as optional provisions; second, the nature of the relevant committees and intermediary support organizations is not presented as "public-private cooperation-based system"; third, the area of the function and authority of the relevant committees is limited to review and consultation. Fourth, the related information about the intermediary support organization structure and system, the establishment and operation of the secretariat, and the practical operation of the center is not presented. In sum, to make related ordinances become institutional grounds with stronger effectiveness, reconstructing them by strictly applying the perspectives of regional innovation and cooperative governance is necessary.
