Effects of Entertainment Service on Impulse Buying Behavior (엔터테인먼트 서비스가 의복 충동구매 행동에 미치는 영향 - 백화점과 쇼핑몰을 중심으로 -)

  • Modern consumers seek various pleasure and fun through shopping. Retailing are offering apparel products with entertainment services to customers such as movie theaters, restaurants and so on. The purposes of this study was investigate the effect of entertainment service on impulse buying behavior. Data were obtained from shoppers (N=684) randomly selected department stores and shopping malls located in Seoul and Busan. They were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test and cross analysis. The results showed that entertainment service users showed likely to be more recreational orientation, to be more pleasure, and better mood in retailing environment than entertainment service non-users. That is entertainment service users were more likely to buy impulsively during shopping than entertainment service non-users. Implication and future research directions discussed.

Consumer을s Information Search and Satisfaction for Elderly related Goods on the Internet Shopping (실버용품 구매시 인터넷을 활용한 소비자 정보탐색 및 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to understand consumer's information search activity and satisfaction. When they buy the elderly related goods through internet market and to get some ideas for silver industry on internet shopping. The 382 subjects by online banner formatted Questionnaires were analyzed by frequency, percentage, standard deviation, Person's relation and regression analysis by SPSS PC program. The major findings are summarized as follows. (1) The most respondents were young and well-educated. In terms of psychological variables, the degree of the consumer's perception for internet usefulness and using capability were relatively high. (2) Information search amount of the group who have experienced purchasing elderly related goods through internet shopping and had low perception of internet risk is higher than other group. (3) The variables influenced mostly on consumer satisfaction were the age, the sex, the purchasing experience from Internet shopping, the Internet using capacity and the perception of internee usefulness as well as of the perception of internet risk.

  • The goal of this study was to examine differences between traditional and electronic commerce in criteria of the amount of consumer information and the level of consumer satisfaction. In addition this study examined factors influencing the amounts of information search of consumers and the level of consumer satisfaction between traditional and electronic commerce. The results of this study are as follows. First, consumers gathered more information about stores and price in electronic commerce, but more information about quality and after service in traditional commerce. Second, overall, rational consumers, and consumers buying electronic goods collected more information. Third, consumers were more satisfied with shopping in electronic commerce than in traditional commerce except for the satisfaction from price. However, comsumers' satisfaction was not differed what kind of goods consumers buy. Fourth, if consumers gathered lots of information, they tend to be more satisfied than otherwise. In addition, there were positive relationship between consumer’lower age, rational purchase behavior, and positive thinking of the electronic commerce.

  • Recently, the number of consumers who buy various goods using the shopping channels on cable TV has increased. The objectives of this study are to examine the propensity of consumers to make an impulse purchase through cable TV, and to investigate the factors that influence consumers' impulse purchase. The following was found in this study: (1) The propensity of consumers to make impulse purchases on cable TV is somewhat low, Among sub-areas of impulse purchase, the propensity to make impulse purchase by suggestion is the highest. (2) Among the variables that affect consumers' impulse purchase on cable TV, the most influential variable is the psychological factor, followed by the frequency of shopping on cable TV, positive testimony from consumers who have used the product, and the amount of time spent in watching shopping channels on cable TV, in that order.

  • In order to adapt to today's rapidly changing environment and gain a competitive advantage, many companies are interested in CRM(Customer Relationship Management). Especially, the product recommendation system that can be implemented by personalizing the marketing strategy becomes the focus of CRM. In this research, we employed CBR(Case-Based Reasoning) technique that can overcome the limitation of CF(Collaborative Filtering) technique. Our system recommends the books that the customer is very likely to buy next time considering the factors such as 'Personal Features of Customer,' Similarity between Book Categories' and 'Sequence of Book Purchases'. Accuracy of predicting a book-not a particular book, but in the middle level of classification that contains about 190 categories-was about 57%.

  • There are some studies about user's participation to reflect their desire and value on the planning of house by this time. These were constitution of unit space focused on the apartments, which is mostly theoretical. In architectural planning process, it takes time for continuous discussion and revision between architects and users. Also changes of plan must of necessity be so because of in or outside conditions. So, user's participation has its meaning that they take part in each step and portion of process faithfully on whole architectural processes. In this case, tenants of single houses were decided and they already buy building site and lay out rules jointly. With this circumstance I've researched a kind of test the reflection on various desires and its acceptance in each steps through completion of a construction work, which is based on their participation.

Analysis on Unit-Commitment Game in Oligopoly Structure of the Electricity Market (전력시장 과점구조에서의 발전기 기동정지 게임 해석)

  • The electric marketplace is in the midst of major changes designed to promote competition. No longer vertically integrated with guaranteed customers and suppliers, electric generators and distributors will have to compete to sell and buy electricity. Unit commitment (UC) in such a competitive environment is not the same as the traditional one anymore. The objective of UC is not to minimize production cost as before but to find the solution that produces a maximum profit for a generation firm. This paper presents a hi-level formulation that decomposes the UC game into a generation-decision game (first level game) and a state(on/off)-decision game (second level game). Derivation that the first-level game has a pure Cournot Nash equilibrium(NE) helps to solve the second-level game. In case of having a mixed NE in the second-level game, this paper chooses a pure strategy having maximum probability in the mixed strategy in order to obviate the probabilistic on/off state which may be infeasible. Simulation results shows that proposed method gives the adequate UC solutions corresponding to a NE.

The Corporate Spinoffs and Long-run Stock Returns (기업분할의 장기성과에 대한 실증연구)

  • We examine whether spinoffs improve long-run stock returns and analyze the factors of long run stock returns. The measures of long run stock returns are CAR(Cumulative Abnormal Returns) and BHAR(Buy and Hold Abnormal Returns). The expected factors of abnormal returns are methods of spinoffs, size, BV/MV, administrative costs, cashflow and Herfindahl index. We find that long-run returns of the case such as carve-out methods, small size, high BV/MV, low administrative costs, low cashflow and low Herfindahl index are larger than those of other cases. We show positive relationship between spinoffs and long-run stock returns(CAR and BHAR). The results supports spinoffs, as the methods of focusing on core business, are very usefulness of corporate restructuring.

In this paper, we suggest more effective advertisement system on DID for advertisers. This system can provide a floating population, operation information and other useful informations for advertisement. The advertisers can choose and buy the advertisement that they want.
