  • In this paper, we propose a micro payment service based on Open API (Payment & Account Management API). To support a business model that enables operators to offer integrated billing, a payment and an account management API is crucial. This service is based on the architecture of Parlay X web services[1, 2]. We described the network architecture and the logic procedure for a micro payment service.

  • Not all business executives can afford the time or cost of having an expert interpret the output of management science models. They find these models perplexing because they are given in the form of numeric vectors or metrics. In this paper, we discuss the possibility of developing an expert system to assist managers' interpretation of the models' results. Having gained interpreting skills, these executive may integrate the system with commercial software.

  • 레거시 시스템은 수년간 기업에서 많은 노력과 투자하여 개발되어 왔으며 현재는 기업의 중요한 자산으로 여겨지고 있다. 하지만 수많은 수정을 거치면서 시스템은 점차 비구조화 되어지고 그에 따른 문서화 작업이 제대로 이루어지지 않았으며, 과거의 중앙 집중적인 메인 프레임환경을 웹과 같은 분산 환경으로 이전하고자 하는 비즈니스 요구사항이 점차 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 레거시 시스템을 컴포넌트 래핑 기술을 이용하여 엔터프라이즈 자바 빈(EJB)으로 생성하는 지원도구 개발의 일환인 레거시 컴포넌트 식별 기법을 소개한다. 제안된 식별 기법은 비즈니스 로직을 변수 분류(Variable Classification), 슬라이싱 판별 기준, 워크플로워 분석을 이용한 레거시 컴포넌트 후보를 식별하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 전통적인 설치 기반 소프트웨어와 달리 웹을 통해 접근 가능한 서비스 형태의 소프트웨어에 사용자 고유의 코드를 동적으로 생성하여 반영하기 위한 방법을 다룬다. 이는 서비스 사용 회사들에게 회사별 비즈니스 로직을 생성하기 위한 플랫폼을 제공하고, 회사 별 고유한 비즈니스 로직을 개발할 수 있어 웹 기반의 소프트웨어를 존쉽게 확장할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다.

  • In this paper we investigate a trend analysis service using Semantic Web technology in a news domain. The trend analysis service can provide more intelligent answers rather than the answer given In current news search engines since it can analyze the passage of time and the relation among news. In order to provide the trend analysis service, the capability of temporal reasoning is required, but the Semantic Web language such as OWL does not support the reasoning capability. Therefore, we propose a language TL-OWL(Temporal Web Ontology Language) extending OWL with the temporal reasoning.

  • Component-based development approach is used in modern software system development projects that are very complex and large-scale. Technical components are more effective rather than business components in software development. However, on the Microsoft .net environment, the technical component-based development issues are not adopted. Moreover, software architecture on the .net environment is not studied yet because the development platform is recently used in the development of enterprise-level system. This paper proposes a technical component-based software architecture on .net environment. Seven technical components - configuration, data access, exception, file I/O, log, message, and paging - are contained in the architecture. The proposed architecture enables developers to reduce development time and to concentrate business logic rather than architectural issues. To verify the proposed architecture and the components, a partner management system is developed based on the architecture.

  • Multimedia interpretation describes a high level of ion of multimedia content like interrelations and coherencies. In this paper, we describe a multimedia interpretation component from human-centered perspective. In this context, we see the role of the multimedia interpretation component as a liaison between the psychological apparatuses and computer-based artifact. We emphasize this role of multimedia interpretation by outlining a mapping process of the psychological apparatuses and computer-based artifact. This mapping process needs to be transparent to its user so that effective human-centered systems can be achieved. This transparency will provide an immersive environment for the users and enable uninhibited interaction between the users and the artifact. Furthermore, we illustrate how the multimedia interpretation component can be utilized in the medical diagnosis and treatment support application.

  • A number of studies for corporate bond rating classification problems have demonstrated that artificial intelligence approaches such as Case-based reasoning (CBR) can be alternative methodologies to statistical techniques. CBR is a problem solving technique in that the case specific knowledge of past experience is utilized to find a most similar solution to the new problems. To build a successful CBR system to deal with human information processing, the representation of knowledge of each attribute is an important key factor We propose a hybrid approach of using fuzzy sets that describe the approximate phenomena of the real world because it handles inexact knowledge represented by common linguistic terms in a similar way as human reasoning compared to the other existing techniques. Integration of fuzzy sets with CBR is important to develop effective methods for dealing with vague and incomplete knowledge to statistical represent using membership value of fuzzy sets in CBR.

The Reversed Effects of Advertising of Socially Controversial Products on Endorsers

  • This study investigated the impact of advertising of socially controversial products on its endorsers and products, and the role of media in moderating the results. Using the source credibility model with 174 survey samples, advertising of controversial products as a form of product placement (PPL) was found to have negative impact on consumers' attitude toward the endorsers. The results also confirmed that the moderating effect of media credibility on consumers when developing perceptions toward the endorsers. The results suggest marketing managers to use endorsers with careful consideration in designing advertising messages for socially controversial products, especially when delivered as a product placement on television.

  • With greater utilization of web application and growth of its market, the function of such application is being expanded With today's increasing demand for high quality software, we see a sharp rise in the interest for web application test. The current trend is that web applications are being developed based on a framework of developmental environment. Hence, as the scope of that framework expands, each module of the entire web application is being configured by the combination of heterogeneous files. The distinctive characteristics of a web application are based on the fact that the framework that is provided in partially completed form controls the structure of all objects of development. The present study defines the web business logic as a minimal unit which has meaning as a unit of application for the web application. In this paper, we define web business logic as a least meaningful execution unit of web applications, propose how to generate automatically the BizUnit test code for it, and analyze the effectiveness of testing of the web application via the BizUnit test codes.
