A Study on the CMOS Camera robust to radiation environments (방사선 환경에 강인한 CMOS카메라에 관한 연구)

  • Human access is restricted to environment where radiation sources are used, however observation equipment should be radiation-resistant as it is exposed. Therefore, if tungsten with the highest specific gravity and melting point and the lowest lead were selected to reduce the dose to the Cobalt 60 radiation source to 1/8, Tu had a volume of 432.6cm3, a thickness of 2.4cm, and Pb had a volume of 961cm3,, a thickness of 3.6cm. By applying this method, produced a radiation resistant CMOS camera with a camera module using a CMOS Image sensor and a radiation shielding structured housing. As a result of applying the head detachable 2M AHD camera (No. ①) that survived the experiment to select the optimal shielding thickness, when shielding the associated equipment such as cameras, adapters, etc. is achieved, it was confirmed that the design of the structure is appropriate by operating well at doses higher than 1.88×106rad. Therefore, it is expected to secure the camera technology and business feasibility that can be applied to high radiation environments.

  • The popularity of the web based education has come the need for variety learning methods and for business to exploit the web not only for interoperability but also standardization. This way of standardization has come to researched for environments, contents and practical uses in ISO. The IEEE has special]y established five technical classes for LTSA which provide advanced e-learning environments. Feedback functions would not be supported and specified in standardization for Query Answer on LTSA. In this paper, we describe the query and answer model which we have developed on layer three of LTSA. We develop the redefined model for transforming data flow oriented into object or component based model. We have developed the Query Answer Metadata (QAM) based on Learning Object Metadata (LOM). We design and showed thing a prototyping implementation the Query Answer Learning Tool (QALT). We have used the QALT to address the problem of efficiency of web based education. We also used it to develop the related tools with quality and productivity.

Occupational Health Policies on Risk Assessment in Japan

  • Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISH Law) of Japan requires abnormalities identified in evaluations of worker health and working environments are reported to occupational physicians, and employers are advised of measures to ensure appropriate accommodations in working environments and work procedures. Since the 1980s, notions of a risk assessment and occupational safety and health management system were expected to further prevent industrial accidents. In 2005, ISH Law stipulated workplace risk assessment using the wording "employers shall endeavor." Following the amendment, multiple documents and guidelines for risk assessment for different work procedures were developed. They require ISH Laws to be implemented fully and workplaces to plan and execute measures to reduce risks, ranking them from those addressing potential hazards to those requiring workers to wear protective articles. A governmental survey in 2005 found the performance of risk assessment was 20.4% and common reasons for not implementing risk assessments were lack of adequate personnel or knowledge. ISH Law specifies criminal penalties for both individuals and organizations. Moreover, under the Labor Contract Law promulgated in 2007, employers are obliged to make reasonable efforts to ensure employee health for foreseeable and avoidable risks. Therefore, enterprises neglecting even the non-binding provisions of guidelines are likely to suffer significant business impact if judged to be responsible for industrial accidents or occupational disease. To promote risk assessment, we must strengthen technical, financial, and physical support from public-service organizations, encourage the dissemination of good practices to reduce risks, and consider additional employer incentives, including relaxed mandatory regulations.

Research on Policy Measures to Activate Sports Welfare

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest the policy and scope of the concept of sports welfare and to present a systematic model enhancing sport welfare of the society. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to induce idea for welfare policy and conceptual sport welfare model, this study reviewed a literature discussing the functions and mechanism of sport in enhancing a sense of life quality and thus rebuilding welfare of community. Results: The study suggests these. First, sports welfare ensures the rights of sports of all citizens and has the main purpose of providing social services, creating environments against inequality, improving the quality of life and happiness for everyone to enjoy, and the range should be continued from the right to live, environments against inequality, to the improvement of life and happiness. Second, since the integrated perspective was first suggested, sports integration development will be researched as well as the direction of the development of policies of the integrated model. Basic research of indicator development will need to be proceeded to execute and evaluate the integrated model. Third, the improvement of treatment of sports welfare instructors is urgent. Namely, compared to sports-related budget and the enhancement of facilities, the poor environment of sports welfare instructors needs to be improved. Instead of only testing physical fitness and prescription, the business needs to be continued by connecting to the participants' continuous participation in sports. Conclusions: Whether sports welfare succeeds depends on the need for an active beneficiary, identification of demand, a beneficiary that can discover potential to join offline and online into one, the establishment of sports policies to promote competency development, and a direct progression is needed.

Design and Implement of Power-Data Processing System with Optimal Sharding Method in Ethereum Blockchain Environments

  • In the recent power industry, a change is taking place from manual meter reading to remote meter reading using AMI(Advanced Metering Infrastructure). If such the power data generated from the AMI is recorded on the blockchain, integrity is guaranteed by preventing forgery and tampering. As data sharing becomes transparent, new business can be created. However, Ethereum blockchain is not suitable for processing large amounts of transactions due to the limitation of processing speed. As a solution to overcome such the limitation, various On/Off-Chain methods are being investigated. In this paper, we propose a interface server using data sharding as a solution for storing large amounts of power data in Etherium blockchain environments. Experimental results show that our power-data processing system with sharding method lessen the data omission rate to 0% that occurs when the transactions are transmitted to Ethereum and enhance the processing speed approximately 9 times.

  • Energy absorption facilities installed on roads should follow the performance standards of the real-car crash test of 'Installation and Maintenance Guidelines for Roadside Safety Facilities'. However, due to different installation conditions, such as differing structure widths on roads, some energy absorption facilities do not provide adequate performance. In order to apply varied environments on roads, an energy absorption structure was designed in this study with 150 mm height and four layers of W-shape guardrail at 200 mm intervals, and the performance was verified using LS-DYNA computer simulation. Through a real-car crash test, the performance of the facility designed by LS-DYNA was tested and was found to meet the performance of the CC2 category for crash cushions. The conclusion of the comparison demonstrates that the simulation and the real-car crash tests are both significant.

  • A microservice architecture that accommodates the heterogeneity of various development environments and enables flexible maintenance can secure business agility to manage services in line with rapidly changing requirements. Due to the nature of MSA, where communication between microservices within a service is frequent, the boundary security that has been used in the past is not sufficient in terms of security, and a Zerotrust system is required. In addition, as the size of microservices increases, definition of access control policies according to the API format of each service is required, and difficulties in policy management increase, such as unnecessary governance overhead in the process of redistributing services. In this paper, we propose a microservice architecture that centrally manages policies by separating access control decision and enforcement with a general-purpose policy engine called OPA (Open Policy Agent) for collective and flexible policy management in Zerotrust security-applied environments.

Through TF-IDF analysis, the research identifies key words and phrases frequently mentioned in user reviews, highlighting aspects that resonate positively with users, such as the ability to engage in creative activities and social interactions within these virtual environments. Word2Vec analysis further enriches this understanding by revealing the contextual relationships between words, offering a deeper insight into user sentiments and the specific features that enhance their engagement with the platforms. A significant finding of this study is the identification of common grievances among users, particularly related to the processes of refunds and login, which point to broader issues within payment systems and user interface designs across platforms. These insights are critical for developers and operators of metaverse platforms, suggesting a focused approach towards enhancing user experiences by amplifying positive aspects.   • In this paper, we investigate a problem with an e-learning system for e-business environments and introduce the solving method of the problem. To be more accurate, existing Web-hosted and ASP (Application Service Provider)-oriented service model is difficult to cooperate and integrate among the different kinds of systems. So we have produced sharable and reusable learning object, they have extracted a principle from pedagogical designs for units of reuse. We call LIO (Learning Item Object). This modeling makes use of a constructing for XML Web Services. So to speak, units of reuse from pedagogical designs are test tutorial, resource, case example, simulation, problem, test, discovery and discussion and then map introduction, fact, try, quiz, test, link-more, tell-more LIO learning object. These typed LIOs are stored in metadata along with the information for a content location. Each one of LIOs is designed with components and exposed in an interface for XML Web services. These services are module applications, which are used a standard SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and locate any computer over Internet and publish, find and bind to services. This guarantees the interoperation and integration of the different kinds of systems. As a result, the problem of e-learning systems for e-business environments was resolved and then the power of understanding about learning objects based on pedagogical design was increased for learner and instruction designers. And organizations of education hope for particular decreased costs in constructing e-learning systems.

  • Korean banknotes are similar in size, and their braille tend to worn out as they get old. These characteristics of Korean banknotes make the blind people, who mainly rely on the braille, even harder to distinguish the banknotes. Not only that, this can even lead to economic loss. There are already existing systems for recognizing the banknotes, but they don't support Korean banknotes. Furthermore, because they are developed as a mobile application, it is not easy for the blind people to use the system. Therefore, in this paper, we develop a Raspberry Pi-based banknote recognition system that not only recognizes the Korean banknotes but also are easily accessible by the blind people. Our system starts recognition with a very simple action of the user, and the blind people can hear the recognition results by sound. In order to choose the best feature extraction algorithm that directly affects the performance of the system, we compare the performance of SIFT, SURF, and ORB, which are representative feature extraction algorithms at present, in real environments. Through experiments in various real environments, we adopted SIFT to implement our system, which showed the highest accuracy of 95%.
