The Effect of Service Attributes in Korean Marine Transportation Services

  • Purpose: Marine transportation companies must improve service quality to secure competitive advantage and continuous relationships with customers. This study explores the value and necessity of service quality in the industry by empirically identifying the factor that would have the largest effect on the improvement of service quality, also examining whether such improvement may actually influence continuous relationships. Research design, data and methodology: Based on an online survey with those in the Korean marine transportation industry, this study conducted statistical analyses using structural equation modeling. Based on relevant previous studies, the current study constructed a total of 55 survey questions. Finally, 281 questionnaires were collected, but 68 were excluded owing to invalid responses. Results: Information service attribute had the largest effect on service quality, whereas communication did not demonstrate a significant influence. In addition, distribution and information services exerted a positive effect on service satisfaction through service quality, and finally influenced relationship continuity. Conclusions: The results shows that marine logistics service quality strategies which were centered on time or local factors, should be considered in terms of the development of innovative services. In particular the improvement of information service systems and strategies in changed business environment.

정보 자산에 대한 가용성 평가 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Assessment Measures for Availability of Information Assets)

  • 지식정보사회에서 기업의 비즈니스 연속성을 담보하기 위한 가용성의 중요성이 대두되면서, 가용성 보장전략으로 지속적인 서비스 인프라를 구축하는 고가용성(HA, High Availability) 구현 방안을 제시하고 있다. 하지만, 정보자산에 대한 중요도 평가의 신뢰도가 확보되지 않는다면 실제 자산의 가치와 연계되어 보안성을 유지하기 어렵기 때문에 자산가치 매트릭스를 통해 평가된 자산 중요도를 바탕으로 가용성 기준인 서비스 유지 평가항목과 매핑하여 관리할 수 있는 가용성 평가 방안이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 정보 자산에 대한 가용성 평가 방안을 제시한다.

  • Recently, as wired and wireless communication services have rapidly developed and multimodal mobile devices which have various characteristics have widely spread, the need for new convergence services increases. The growing population of VoIP technologies and the high communication expense yield that the market of IP based telephony such as WiFi phone and IP phone is substituted for one of the conventional PSTN telephony. With the help of this trend, the wireline network operators desire to find a market in mobile networks. Therefore, they focus on Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) service as one of the key factors to accomplish this goal. FMC services are able to provide the mobility of voice services between circuit switched and packet switched networks. IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based Voice Call Continuity (VCC) is one of the schemes to embody FMC services. As Application Server (AS) which has this VCC function provides seamless handover of services between heterogeneous networks, FMC subscribers can communicate seamlessly with others m WiFi domain and COMA domain using WiFi-COMA dual phone. Most of enterprises have already introduced IP network infrastructure and IP-PBX (Private Branch eXchange) for telephony. However, the problems of high communication cost and work inefficiency due to frequent outside jobs or business trips have remained. In order to solve these problems, demands for enterprise FMC services increase. In this paper, we introduce a new IP-PBX based VCC model that can provide seamless handover of voice services between WiFi and COMA networks for enterprise users and we investigate some interworking and security issues between Soft Switch (SSW) and IMS, or between IMSs. In addition, we introduce a new service that can provide the continuity of voice sessions as well as video sessions using Multimedia Session Continuity (MMSC) technology which has evolved from VCC. This service is expected to be one of the next-generation personalized services based on user's context.

  • 기업 업무의 스마트워크 요구로 모바일 서비스의 사용이 증가하고 있으며, 기업 업무의 다양한 요구사항을 대응할 수 있는 모바일 서비스 구조에 대한 연구가 요구된다. 모바일 서비스의 다양성을 제공하기 위해 커스터마이제이션에 대한 연구들이 모바일 플랫폼에 적용되도록 연구되어야 한다. 모바일 서비스가 다른 서비스들과의 연동 및 디바이스 연속성을 제공하기 위해 공개 인터페이스(Open API)를 이용하여 서비스들 간의 통합을 가능하게 해야 한다. 본 논문에서 이러한 서비스들 간의 통합을 통해 다양한 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있는 매쉬업 커스터마이제이션 기법을 제안한다.

기업의 감염병 예방을 위한 BCP 강화방안 연구 (Strengthening BCP for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases in Companies)

  • As the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is not decreasing, it is time for domestic companies to respond preemptively and in terms of business continuity. The purpose of this study is to present measures to strengthen BCP to prevent infectious diseases in the enterprise. In this work, three methods of data investigation are used. The first was to search for keywords in academic databases such as the National Assembly Library and the Korea Research and Information Service to investigate degree papers and academic papers. Second, we investigated literature such as research reports, manuals, and guidelines on infectious diseases. Finally, the researchers visited official websites such as KDCA, MOHW, and MOIS to collect and analyze recent data. BCP In view of the Board, a new risk analysis should be made and a disaster preparedness system tailored to the characteristics of the entity should be established. We need to analyze corporate weaknesses and focus on safety culture. It is also important to look at how customers choose their services and products. Based on this, differentiated service strategies should be presented. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as basic data for companies that want to systematically manage and operate BCP to prevent infectious diseases.

  • This study attempted to analyze whether the government's regulatory innovation efforts affect the continued operation of new products and new service-based businesses, such as regulatory compliance and response efforts, despite the perception of regulatory difficulties as business barriers for firms in new industries. Previous studies on the impact of regulations on companies in new industries were a limit to obtaining implications for regulatory issues and characteristics of each field due to the simplification of regulatory indicators and the establishment of field integration. To compensate for this, this study focused on the field of AI and DATA services, and subdivided regulatory issues to indicate practical inconvenience as variables, and model fit and hypothesis verification were performed by applying Structural Equation Model analysis based on the survey results of related companies. As a result, in the field of AI and DATA services, "Perceived regulatory irrationality" and "Perceived government regulatory innovation efforts" significantly affect the "Regulatory environment satisfaction" of the regulated, and "Perceived regulatory irrationality" and "Regulatory environment satisfaction" affect "Regulatory response efforts for companies in new industries to continue their businesses." The significance of this study is that it conducted research on the factors affecting the continuity of business of companies in the AI and DATA service sector by linking the analysis of the impact relationship between satisfaction and continuous use intention, which have been mainly used in the "Policy Acceptance Model" and "IT service sector," to "efforts for companies to continue their business in a new industrial regulatory environment." In addition, by presenting a new empirical model for new industry regulations, it is expected to be meaningful as it can provide a research foundation that can obtain practical implications in related fields.

  • The cloud computing is technology which gives flexible and solid infrastructure to IT environment. With this technology multiple computing environment can be consolidated in to a single server so that maximize system resource utilization. Better processing power can be achieved with less system resource. IT manager can cope with increasing unnecessary cost for additional server and management cost as well. This means a enterprise is able to provide services with better quality and create new services with surplus resource. The time required for recovery from system failure will be reduced from days to minutes. Enhanced availability and continuity of enterprise business minimize the codt and the risk produced by service discontinuity. In this paper, we propose framework architecture that is strong against denial-of-service attack.

  • Purpose - This study analyzes the relationship between inter-function coordination variables, competitor, customer and innovation orientation that has been developed by Narver & Slater (1990), also known as Market Orientation Strategy on SME Sutera's marketing performance, through direct and indirect effect relationships. Research design, data, and methodology - This study uses a sample of 168 respondents who are silk SME entrepreneurs in eleven Silk Craftsman sub-districts in Wajo Regency - South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire with a period between January - June 2019. Data analysis use PLS. The stages of testing the results of analysis go through several stages: the first stage, analysis of variable descriptions, the goodness of fit model (AVE, CR, Cronbach Alpha, R2) and hypothesis test. Results and Findings - From the fifteen hypothesis by direct and indirect effect state six hypothesis are rejected and eleven hypothesis are accepted. Overall, the concepts of Resource Based View theory (RBV) and Structure-Conduct- Performance theory (SCP) also provide a strategic picture for businessmen related to product innovation and service innovation and the urgency of regeneration in order to maintain the continuity of superior products in the future.

정보보호 관리체계를 위한 주요 통제영역 연구: 금융 관련 조직을 중심으로 (A study on primary control area for information security management system (ISMS): focusing on the finance-related organizations)

  • 금융서비스산업 전반에 고객의 금융정보 및 금융서비스를 적절하게 보호하고 유지하기 위해, 조직은 정보보호 관리체계(ISMS), 개인정보보호 관리체계, 비즈니스연속성 관리체계와 같은 경영시스템을 도입하여 운영하기 시작하였다. 본 연구는 금융권이 ISMS를 고려하는 것이 바람직하며 정보보안 문화, 실무 및 가이드라인을 고려하는 다양한 조직 안에 각기 다른 형태를 가질 수 있다는데서 출발하였다. 금융서비스산업 내에서도 분야에 상관없이 적용 가능하고 보편적으로 널리 알려진 국제 정보보호 관리체계 ISO27001을 도입한 금융 관련 조직을 대상으로 인증 심사에 따른 부적합 추이 및 통제 요인의 분석을 통해 해당 ISMS의 주요 통제 영역을 도출하게 된다. 이에 따라 ISMS를 도입하여 운용하고 있는 금융 관련 5개 조직의 사례분석을 통해 정보보호 수준의 개선 효과를 분석해 보고자 했다. 금융 섹터에서 인증을 유지하고 있는 곳이 적어 실증 연구를 위한 자료 확보가 어려웠지만, 초기 연구 대상으로서의 의미가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 분석을 통해, 대상 업체들에서 최초심사로부터 3년 주기가 지나는 동안 부적합 건수가 매년 감소하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 부적합 빈도수가 가장 높았던 물리적 환경적 보안, 의사소통 및 운영관리, 접근통제 영역이 각 23%, 19%, 17%를 나타내 전체 부적합의 59% 정도를 차지하는 주요 통제영역으로 도출되었다. 이를 통해 금융권에서 중요하게 다루어지지 않았던 기술적, 관리적, 물리적 보안 이슈를 ISMS가 충족시키고, ISMS가 금융서비스산업에 적용 가능한 효과적인 관리체계가 될 수 있음을 발견하였다.

해외사례를 바탕으로 프랜차이즈 가맹사업 자격 요건 강화 방안을 위한 제언 : 미국, 중국, 호주, 영국의 사례분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the Foreign Countries's cases of Strengthening the Qualifications of Franchisers - Based on the case study of USA, China, Australia, England -)

  • Purpose - This study examines the status of franchises and qualifications for franchising business, examines the franchising qualifications focusing on overseas cases, and suggests policy directions for strengthening the qualifications of franchising business. In order to achieve these purposes, the study reviewed the cases of USA, China, Australia, and United Kingdom franchising business law. Literature Review - According to the Fair Trade Commission, franchise is defined as a transactional relationship in which a franchiser provides certain support and education to franchisees in order to sell their goods and services more effectively. In addition, a franchise is a legally and financially independent business of franchisers and franchisees, and according to the concept of affiliates, it is necessary to define a franchise as a product and service marketing based on close and continuous collaboration. A franchiser can be defined as a company with the ability to develop a franchise system, create sustainable value based on it, and replicate "KNOW-HOW" to sellers. Case Study - This study examined the requirements for establishing a franchiser in the United States, China, Australia, and United Kingdom. In most countries, the requirements of franchisers must be operated for at least one year, which means that education, manual production, and continuity of stores should be checked. Suggestion - Based on Korea's population density and consumption sales index, we propose a screening system that registers through 2 + 1 systems, which require two stores to be operated for more than a year, by dividing Korea's commercial rights into two and a screening system instead of simple registration. In the case of a small franchisors, at least one franchsing retail store must be operated for at least one year, which should be applied to only one brand.
