  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of core competences on organizational performance in small and medium sized IT enterprises. Especially, the moderating effects of entrepreneurship and government support variables between the core competences and organizational performance were examined. To empirically prove the hypothesis, the statistical analysis were conducted based on the response from the 502 Korean domestic IT SMEs, using AMOS 18.0 and SPSS 20.0. The results of this empirical study can be summarized as follows. First, core competences (marketing, networking, and technology competence) have positive influence on organizational performance. Second, entrepreneurship and government support have moderating effects in the relationship between core competence and organizational performance. Especially, network and marketing competence appeared to be affected by more entrepreneurship than technology competence. So this paper suggests that when the R&D of SMEs and government support are properly combined, it will directly give an effect on organizational performance. The results of this research can be used for building a better government support policies and strategic planning of small and medium sized domestic IT enterprises.

  • e-Governance is a medium to offer various services to citizens through a web portal, that exists in many countries nowadays. The existing e-Governance technology is a vast, centrally managed database and a set of applications that connect to it via web interfaces. Despite the modernisation of services, it remains with the lack of transparency. Thus, the existing infrastructure of e-Governance paves the way for corrupt practises by the bureaucrats. e-Governance needs a powerful underlying technology which doesn't provide any way to allow tampering of the record and which in turn eliminates corruption. In this paper, we took land registration as a use-case for building e-Governance by keeping Blockchain as an underlying technology, to put off the corrupt practices and to bring transparency. Once transactions in land registration added to the Blockchain, it is immutable as it is cryptographically secured. Besides, the blockchain technology is secured as the ledger is distributed over the network. If a hacker wants to modify the ledger, he needs to hack every node in the blockchain network. Hyperledger Fabric, a permissioned Blockchain adopted for implementation and Hyperledger Caliper for performance analysis with these evaluation metrics such as throughput, latency and execution time.

  • As the number of smart phone users increases, many organizations begin to adopt social media rapidly to diversify communication channels with customers. Specifically, twitter, which supports instant and two-way communications between users and between organizations and users, has been adopted by many organizations as an efficient way not only to identify new customers but also to retain existing customers. However, little attention has been given to the issue on how organizations can effectively use twitter to improve customer satisfaction. To explore the issue, this study proposes two major dimensions, customer participation and organization resource utilization, which should be considered in building a utilization strategy for twitter in organizations. We then develop four different combinations along with these dimensions-follow, mention, retweet, and review types. Based on case studies of 27 organizations that use twitter, we evaluate the degrees of customer participation, resource utilization, and customer satisfaction, and examine matching or mismatching of the adoption purpose of twitter and its actual utilization. The study results reveal that organizations in the matching group show higher customer satisfaction that those in the mismatching group. This study sheds new light on twitter research by developing a new conceptual framework and using a case study approach to explore the relationship between the utilization strategy of twitter and customer satisfaction.

  • The ERP system which has been adopted as a tool for integration of information systems and for innovation of business process. And it is regarded to be able to maximize the productivity of business process and achieve process innovation based on the best practice incorporated in the ERP. To achieve process innovation through ERP, strong sponsorship from top management and building consensus through the entire organization is required to be backed UP. There are many cases of the failure of Process Innovation due to reluctance of corporate members to change. In the result of the case study, it seems to be difficult to build the consensus of the related groups to ERP project. There are still argues after project, on whether the project was success or not. Through the AHP analysis for the success factors, it is explored that the reason is that several groups of the company had different expectation for the project. And to achieve the aimed process Innovation, the project members in the related departments should build the consensus of expectation on the project.
