Design and Development of Big Data Platform based on IoT-based Children's Play Pattern Analysis

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an IoT-based big data platform that can check the space and form analysis in various play cultures of children. Therefore, to this end, in order to understand the healthy play culture of children, we are going to build a big data platform that allows IoT and smart devices to work together to collect data. Therefore, the goal of this study is to develop a big data platform linked to IoT first in order to collect data related to observation of children's mobile movements. Using the developed big data platform, children's play culture can be checked anywhere through observation and intuitive UI design, quick information can be automatically collected and real-time feedback, data collected through repeaters can be aggregated and analyzed, and systematic database can be utilized in the form of big data.

  • For commercial success of emerging service robots, the fault tolerant technology for system reliability and human safety is crucial. Traditionally fault tolerance methods have been implemented in application level. However, from our studies on the common design patterns in fault tolerance, we argue that a framework-based approach provides many benefits in providing reliability for system development. To demonstrate the benefits, we build a framework-based fault tolerant engine for OPRoS (Open Platform for Robotic Services) standards. The fault manager in framework provides a set of fault tolerant measures of detection, isolation, and recovery. The system integrators choose the appropriate fault handling tools by declaring XML configuration descriptors, considering the constraints of components and operating environment. By building a fault tolerant navigation application from the non-faulttolerant components, we demonstrate the usability and benefits of the proposed framework-based approach.

  • The purpose of this study is to build effective cooling circuit design in injection mold to improve glass fiber reinforced laptop computer cover plastics' transcription and gloss. Moldflow Insight and Ansys CFD CAE program used to verify efficiency and the experiment mold is precision machined and brazing soldered to make three-dimension cooling channel. The temperature of mold in injection test are fixed to $80^{\circ}C$ and $160^{\circ}C$. The result of this experiment is the improved surface quality of plastics with 85% improvement of transcription in high temperature mold.

  • This study relates to the effect of forming time of injection path on the total process. The whole process can be divided into build process of forming path of injection and after treatment process. The total time required for the whole process could be reduced by reducing the forming time of injection path using SLC file to correct the problems of STL file that is the basic file format for high speed molding devices. First of all, I verify the forming time of injection path according to the conditions of STL file during the formation of injection path. And I verify problems using STL file during formation of injection path. And then I tried to solve problems of STL file by comparing between the formation time of injection path and the existing method using SLC files.

  • 국내의 경우 수입 에너지에 대한 의존도가 매우 높아 낭비되는 전력을 저하시키고 전력 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 저전력 기술인 Zigbee를 기반으로 대기전력 저감 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 Zigbee는 IoT 표준 프로토콜이 아니고, 네트워크 기반이 아니기 때문에 별도의 게이트웨이를 두어 네트워크를 구축해야 하며, 국제적으로 제시하고 있는 기기 전력 소비량에 대한 기준도 모호하기 때문에 대기전력에 대한 연구는 미흡한 상태이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 Zigbee 기술에 IoT 표준 프로토콜인 MQTT를 적용하여 별도의 게이트웨이 없이 네트워크망을 구축하고, 대기전력 저하 및 사용자의 패턴을 수집하는 대기전력 저감 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 기존 시스템과 평가한 결과 기존 시스템 대비 약 7.11%의 대기전력이 소모된 것을 확인하였다.

퀘스트 시스템에 대한 게임플레이어의 감정패턴 분석 : 마비노기 Tutorial Mode를 중심으로 (Analysis of Emotion Pattern for Game Player on Quest System : Towards of Tutorial Mode in Mabinogi Game)

  • 본 논문은 RPG게임의 퀘스트 수행에 대한 플레이어의 감정패턴 분석을 그 목적으로 하고 있다. 인간의 다양한 인지행동 범주에 대한 선행연구를 바탕으로 게임플레이어의 행동범주를 5가지로 설정하고 범주에 해당하는 게임플레이 행동(Action)과 내용(Content)을 재정립하였다. 이를 바탕으로 스토리중심의 전개로 다양한 퀘스트 구성을 보여주는 마비노기(Mabinogi)게임의 초기단계(Tutorial Mode)를 퀘스트구조 및 인지행동별로 분류하여 초보 피험자 10명을 대상으로 감정데이터를 도출하고 게임플레이의 인지행동패턴과 도출감정사이의 상관관계를 모형화하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 게임 플레이어의 자극적 수준을 감정패턴으로 확인하여 특정단계의 퀘스트 설계 및 레벨 디자인의 구체화를 모색해 볼 수 있다. 또한 게임플레이 과정에서 플레이어의 감정변화는 재미요소의 표출형태이며 전체적으로 게임의 상위목표수행에 대한 호기심과 도전의식을 유발 시킬 수 있는 장치로 활용가능 하리라 본다.

체크밸브의 설계변수가 스크롤 압축기 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Design Variation of Check Valve on the Scroll Compressor Performance)

  • An analytical study has been carried out to investigate the effects of the check valve installation on the volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies in a scroll compressor. Both the valve displacement limit and the valve stiffness affected the valve motion, the pressure upstream of the valve, and the pattern of the mass flow through the valve to the discharge plenum. Nonetheless, the presence of the check valve did not cause any noticeable change in the volumetric efficiency. Only a slight increase in the compression work was needed to overcome the pressure increase in front of the valve. The pressure build-up upstream of the valve can be alleviated with the larger limit of the valve lift and a smaller valve stiffness.

빌딩블록의 레이아웃 설계를 위한 계층적 배치 방법 (A hierarchical plcement method for building block layout design)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to solve the problem of placement of rectangular blocks whose sizes and shpaes are pre-determined. The proposed method solves the placement of many retangular blocks of different sizes and shapes in a hierarchical manner, so as to minimize the chip area. The placement problem is divided into several sub-problems: hierarchical partioning, hierarchical area/shape estimation, hierarchical pattern pacement, overlap removal, and module rotation. After the circuit is recursively partitioned to build a hierarchy tree, the necessary wiring area and module shpaes are estimated using the resutls of the partitioning and the pin information before the placement is performed. The placement templaes are defined to represent the relative positions of the modules. The area and the connectivity are optimized separately at each level of hierachy using the placement templates, so the minimization of chip area and wire length can be achieved in a short execution time. Experiments are made on the MCNC building block benchmark circuits and the results are compared with those of other published methods. The proposed technique is shown to produce good figures in tems of execution time and chip area.

  • In many parts of the world, low cost housing used to be built and maintained by the governments, based on designs and detail specifications prepared by the public sector with construction carried out by contractors. Results vary due to differences in design standards, workmanship and property management, depending also on the neighbourhood's care of the estates and their pattern of usage. In the UK, where Private Finance Initiative (PFI) has been used for infrastructure projects, there have been successful cases of city estate being transformed by PFI. These PFI housing schemes involve new-build, refurbishment as well as facility management. Unlike traditional construction, which is based on prescriptive specifications, PFI housing is based on output specifications. A study has been undertaken to compare the two specification approaches as they are applied to housing estate. Results are enlightening and serve as good reference to cities such as Hong Kong SAR and Singapore, where public housing provisions have been a major concern of their citizens as the building stock gets older.

  • The use of smartphones has grown rapidly over a short period of time, particularly for commuting news search, smart banking, and social networking services, and has had a significant impact on the pattern of contemporary life. Further, a wide range of applications are downloaded on to smartphones. This has also led a considerable number of complaints regarding these applications. In this study, we focus on the levels of dissatisfaction that users experience with smartphone applications and their effects on consumer complaint behavior along with the moderating effects of the complaint handling process and attribution. The aim of this study is to verify whether the following hypothesis--2 (low/high dissatisfaction level of smartphone applications)${\times}2$ (poor/excellent complaint handling process)${\times}2$ (internal/external consumer attribution)--is in accordance with the betweengroup design to build a factorial design experiment. The results of this study are as follows. First, the consumer's tendency to complain significantly influenced their dissatisfaction level. Second, consumer complaint behavior is modulated by the complaint handling process. Third, the external-attribution tendency of consumers was found to lead to more dissatisfaction than the tendency for internal attribution.
