In this research, our objective was to investigate the efficacy of electrostatic precipitation in capturing mist particles. We assumed that it could be helpful in multi-functional facilities and similar environments where both humidification and dehumidification are required. We derived the air density of the humidified air based on its properties using Dalton's law. The analysis was performed to evaluate the collection efficiency of capturing mist aerosols of various sizes. As a result, we revealed that under the conditions of a dry-bulb temperature of 26.0℃ and relative humidity of 8%, the system achieved a collection efficiency of 99.999% or more for aerosols larger than 2.5㎛. These results indicate that electrostatic precipitation technology shows great promise as an effective method for capturing mist particles.

We address the problematic issue of blinking in residential LED lighting systems-a phenomenon that has recently become a significant concern due to voltage sags caused by high-power household appliances. To combat this, we developed a two-stage LED converter with integrated anti-blinking circuitry, specifically designed for T5 LED indirect lighting fixtures. The first stage employs a Power Factor Correction (PFC) boost circuit to enhance voltage stability by aligning the voltage and current phases, thereby minimizing power losses. The second stage, a meticulously engineered DC-DC buck converter, ensures stable lighting despite electrical fluctuations. Rigorous testing has confirmed our converter's efficacy in maintaining consistent light output without blinking, thereby substantially improving user comfort and adhering to strict standards for harmonic distortion and electromagnetic compatibility. Our breakthrough provides a robust solution to a pressing issue, marking a significant advancement in LED lighting technology.
As constant development of digital broadcasting and data broadcasting system, new technology will be introduced to digital broadcasting and new broadcasting service will be appeared. These services need to be changed and processed to suit each services and the software of the receiver need to be upgraded. Though, generally the digital broadcasting receivers are not getting updated once it's delivered to home for long time and it need to be done by hand or collected each one of them with trouble. Therefore this paper suggests a way to overcome these difficulties via broadcasting stream. This research is to describe how three modules-namely (1) Downloader, downloads new software from data carrousel stream, (2) Update Loader, installs the software received by downloader; and (3) Recoverer, recovers the former version of the software if some serious problem has been occurred during downloading and installing the software. This paper tries to realize the accommodation of terrestrial STB based on the new technique and service following ATSC A-97 agreement.
The worldwide transition from analog to digital broadcasting has now been completed and the need to study next generation standards for Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV) broadcasting, and broadcasting & communication convergence systems is rapidly growing. In particular, high resolution mobile broadcasting services are needed to satisfy recent consumers. Therefore, the development of highly efficient convergence broadcasting systems that provide fixed/mobile broadcasting through a single channel is needed. In this paper, a service scenario and requirements for providing 4K UHD & HD convergence broadcasting services through a terrestrial single channel are analyzed by employing the latest transmission and A/V codec technologies. Optimized transmission parameters for 6 MHz & 8 MHz terrestrial bandwidths are drawn, and receiving performances are measured under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and time-varying multipath channels. From the results, in a 6 MHz bandwidth, the reliable receiving of HD layer data can be achieved when the receiver velocity is maximum 140 Km/h and is not achieved when the velocity is over 140 Km/h due to the limit of bandwidth. When the bandwidth is extended to 8 MHz, the reliable receiving of both 4K UHD and HD layer data is achieved under a very fast fading multipath channel.

Compared with analog broadcasting, digital broadcasting supports technical background to provide personalize the TV watching environment by offering broadcasting services that can adapt to viewers' preferences. However, current digital broadcasting shows limited services such as reservation recording, simple program guiding with an electronic program guide (EPG) on a personal video recorder system, and primitive data broadcasting by broadcasters. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to suggest a new broadcasting environment which gives a person facility and a difference fur watching TV by serving enhanced personalized services. For that reason, we propose an intelligent broadcasting system which can minimize viewer's actions, and enhanced broadcasting services which are based on understanding of the semantics of broadcasting contents. To implement the system, agent technology as well as the MPEG-7 and TV-Anytime Forum (TVAF) are employed. For content-level services, real-time content filtering and personalized video skimming are designed and implemented. To verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we demonstrate it with a test-bed on which content-level personalized services are implemented.
In these days, technologies of virtual reality (VR) and of augmented reality (AR) have applied to diverse areas such as medicine, defense, education that are closely related to real-life practice. In contrast to the previous applications of game or sports, the technologies of VR and AR tends to expand the areas of applications according to development of the imaging or video techniques. This paper introduces VR and AR techniques and some examples of applications. In addition, this paper introduces how the differences between VR and AR technologies affect to the applications of broadcasting systems. In the last, this paper introduces the results of interviews about suitability and future feasibility of VR and AR techniques for broadcasting systems from korean broadcasting companies.

This paper presents a novel K-band (18 GHz) 16-quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM)-based $2{\times}2$ line-of-sight multi-input multi-output communication system. The system can deliver 356 Mbps on a 56 MHz channel. Alignment mismatches, such as amplitude and/or phase mismatches, between the transmitter and receiver antennas were examined through hardware experiments. Hardware experimental results revealed that amplitude mismatch is related to antenna size, antenna beam width, and link distance. The proposed system employs an alignment mismatch compensation method. The open-loop architecture of the proposed compensation method is simple and enables facile construction of communication systems. In a digital modem, 16-QAM OFDM with a 512-point fast Fourier transform and (255, 239) Reed-Solomon forward error correction codecs is used. Experimental results show that a bit error rate of $10^{-5}$ is achieved at a signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 18.0 dB.

Using and increasing the smart devices got many changes for social environment. Especially, many researchers have studied application using smart devices for improving the learning performance in education. However, Liberal Arts of Humanities has very difficult to apply to information and communication technology cause of traditional study pattern and unit characteristic. In this paper, we suggest a method to apply the Liberal Arts of Humanities to digital broadcasting and to improve learning performance. For this study, we propose a method to making smart contents and connecting them for Liberal Arts of Humanities. And also, we propose a method for applying them to digital broadcasting in order to proof the learning performance increasing by questionary, and shows the application possibility.

Digital Broadcasting Services get abroad from satellite services to terrestrial services and cable services. As broadcasting services become digital from analog, diverse services such as multi-channel, high quality, time-shift function and so on can be possible. It also generates new digital businesses. The Conditional Access System(CAS) is a technology for providing prevention of illegal access to digital contents. It was applied to digital satellite services at Europe and America from the beginning of 90's. In 2002, a domestic digital satellite service provider adopt a CAS system to their broadcasting services. DRM technologies protect intellectual properties and digital rights of digital contents. This paper suggests a design method to construct a CAS system with DRM which can be applied to a CAS for a small digital broadcasting service.

Time synchronization problems is very important in everyday life and a variety of industries, In this paper, we developed PLB(Power Line Broadcasting) system which broadcast time information to each device through power line modems. In our system, the smartphone synchronized to GPS time is used as a time source and we propose, develop and evaluate a relay system to solve the difficulties of long-distance transmission of power line modem technology.
