UWB 센서에 의한 광대역 무선 시스템의 간섭 영향 분석 (Analysis on the Impact of UWB Sensor on Broadband Wireless Communication System)

  • 본 논문은 간섭원으로써 4.5 GHz를 사용하는 UWB 센서가 동대역을 사용하는 피간섭원 광대역 무선 시스템에 미치는 간섭을 분석하였다. 분석방법으로는 Minimum Coupling Loss(MCL)와 Spectrum Engineering Analysis Monte Carlo Advanced Tool(SEAMCAT)을 사용하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 양립성 확보를 위해서 UWB 센서와 광대역 무선 시스템의 이동국 사이에는 1.2 m 이상의 보호 이격거리가 요구되었고 다수의 UWB 센서가 존재하는 경우에는 간섭 확률 5 % 이하를 만족하기 위해 UWB 수신기 PSD는 -68.5 dBm/MHz 이하로 요구되었다.

CONVERGENCE ANALYSIS OF BROADBAND, INTERNET AND INFORMATION FLOW FOR 43 AFRICAN COUNTRIES FOR 1991-2015

  • In the field of information technology, broadband, internet and information flow have been found to be the primary elements to indicate access to information in this current information age. We examine whether the country difference in Broadband use, Internet use and information flow existing in 1991 has been reduced and if so how fast. Convergence framework had been utilised to answer these questions for 43 African countries. The results indicated that all the three chosen information technology indicators for 43 African countries are converging toward a reduction of dispersion and a catch-up process during the period 1991-2015. However, there are marked differences exhibited in the convergence processes for the Total groups and for the subgroups of countries by income level.

  • Since 1990s, despite the emergence of innovative telecommunication services in accordance with technological changes, only few services have attained satisfactory number of subscribers, and create revenues. As with other products or services, the possibility for the success of new telecommunication services is low, thus a systematic business strategy by businesses is required to achieve market success with broadband wireless Internet. For the current broadband wireless Internet to successfully enter the early market with an early growth, a customer oriented market strategy and service provisioning strategy is inevitable. In this study based on the market survey of individuals and business customers, the customer demand and related needs of broadband wireless Internet have been analyzed in depth. Then with the analysis and establishment of the killer applications and market segmentation, market development strategy is proposed.

  • Cloud computing is a new service to provide dynamic, scalable virtual resource services via the Internet. Cloud market is available to multiple cloud computing resource providers and users communicate with each other and participate in market transactions. However, since cloud computing is facing with more and more security issues, how to complete the allocation process effectively and securely become a problem urgently to be solved. In this paper, we firstly analyze the cloud resource allocation problem and propose a mathematic model based on combinatorial double auction. Secondly, we introduce a trust evaluation mechanism into our model and combine genetic algorithm with simulated annealing algorithm to increase the efficiency and security of cloud service. Finally, by doing the overall simulation, we prove that our model is highly effective in the allocation of cloud resources.

  • In this study, we study of luminescent solar concentrators comprise thick glass with broadband antireflection coating deposited on the top surfaces and inorganic phosphor layers contacted on the bottom surfaces. Solar cells are contacted to the lateral surfaces of the glass. Experimental results show the broadband antireflection coating increased the short-circuit current of the solar cell.

  • 통신기술의 발전에 따라 통신서비스 제공을 위한 네트웍이 다양화되고 있는 반면, 점점 더 광대역화되고 있다는 데에는 논란의 여지가 거의 없다. 우리나라는 최근 ADSL 등 초고속인터넷접속서비스의 보급율이 세계에서 가장 높은 국가로서 주목을 받고 있으며, 정책적으로는 새로운 규제를 도입하고 있다. 이에 과연 우리나라의 초고속인터넷접속서비스 시장에 언번들링과 같은 규제가 필요한 것인지를 주요 국가의 사례를 중심으로 검토하고자 한다. 본 연구결과 우리나라의 초고속인터넷접속서비스 시장은 다른 국가의 초고속인터넷접속서비스 시장과는 다른 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 규제도입 여부를 다시 한번 검토해야 하며, 규제를 도입한다 하더라도 규제의 관점을 소비자 지향적인 관점으로 전환하여 체계를 정립할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 초고속 인터넷 서비스에 대한 실증분석을 통하여 선택 만족도의 선행 변수에 관해 알아보았다. 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 대상으로 해당 서비스를 이용하고 있는 481명의 설문데이터를 수집하여 분석한 결과, 선택 상황과 관련된 변수들은 선택 만족도에는 영향을 주지만, 서비스 만족도에는 영향을 주지 않는다는 것이 확인되었다. 선택 만족도는 서비스 만족도와 함께 소비자들의 전환의도에는 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 추천의도에 미치는 영향력은 서비스 만족도 보다 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 연구에서는 서비스 만족도와 선택 만족도가 다르게 나타난 소비자 집단에 대해서도 분석하였다. 이러한 결과는 선택 만족도가 서비스 만족도와는 다르게 구별되는 개념이라는 것을 보여준다. 따라서 소비자가 선택 과정이나 선택 결과에 만족하도록 할 수 있다면 마케팅 관리자는 소비자의 충성도를 높일 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 이러한 실증분석결과를 토대로 시사점과 향후 연구 방향에 대하여 논의하였다.

Analysis of the Competitiveness of Broadband over Power Line Communication in Korea

  • This study analyzes factors affecting the competitiveness of broadband over power line communication (BPLC) and predicts demand for the service, based on quantitative information about consumer preferences drawn from a survey of Korean consumers. Findings from the estimation suggest that, although consumers value some beneficial features of BPLC, to be competitive the speed and stability of its data transmission needs to be improved. Moreover, on the basis of a market simulation, we expect BPLC to occupy only a small portion of Korea's Internet access market in the future, a finding we expect would hold true for other developed countries whose Internet access markets are already mature.

Method of DASH segments into a MMTP stream for switching contents under a hybrid broadcasting environment

  • Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) produced ATSC 2.0 standard, which has been used for a HD/SD digital broadcasting service with MPEG-2 Transport Stream (TS) as a delivery protocol. Recently, users might want to consume multimedia services without being constrained by transport network. However, MPEG-2 TS is not suitable protocol for IP network. Thus, ATSC has enacted ATSC 3.0 standard, which is designed for a hybrid service through a conversion of both broadcasting and broadband channels. The ATSC 3.0 specifies delivery protocols as MPEG Media Transport (MMT) for a broadcasting environment and Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) for a broadband. However, it seems difficult to combine broadcast and broadband for hybrid broadcasting, and it is difficult to synchronize media data between MMT and DASH. This paper suggests various new service scenarios to be brought up by a hybrid broadcasting, ATSC 3.0, and also proposes a stable mechanism for switching contents between different delivery protocols such as MMT and DASH.
