  • Free fatty acids of two brands of domestic butter were isolated directly by a modified silicic acid column chromatography, and were analyzed by gas liquid chromatography. $C_{18}$ FFA congeners $(C_{18_0},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{18:2}\;and\;C_{18:3})$ were the predominant components (52.83% in brand A and 47.50% in brand B), followed by $C_{16}$FFA (29.39% in brand A and 30.52% in brand B) and $C_{14}$FFA (11.85% in brand A and 13.76% in brand B). The other FFA were present as minor components (0.29-3.87%). Concentrations of four FFA $(C_4,\;C_6,\;C_{10}\;and\;C_{12})$FFA which would be expected to contribute strongly to hydrolytic rancidity off-flavors were below individual threshold level, except $C_4FFA$ (56 ppm) in butter B.

  • Brands have their own life cycles and exert a great influence on the marketing activities of companies. This study examines the marketing activities according to a brand life cycle and measures the scope of their performances. The research divides a fashion brand life cycle into three stages through the analysis of secondary data, and validates the causal relationship between marketing activities, brand equity, and consumer behavior according to the brand life cycle. A total of 573 responses were analyzed through a factor analysis, path analysis, and paired t-test with SPSS 12.0. The results are as follows: According to the analysis of the relationship between marketing mix and brand equity, distribution strategies are effective at the introduction/growth stage and the continuation stage. Advertisement strategies should be a main focus at the maturity stage for brand awareness. Throughout all the stages, product strategies wield the greatest influence on the brand image. Among brand equity components, the brand image has an influence on consumer behavior at every stage of the cycle while the brand awareness has no significant effect on consumer behavior. The marketing mix component that has the greatest impact on consumer behavior is product. Contrary to general expectations, price has a negative or insignificant effect on consumer behavior at every stage of the cycle. The results illustrated in this study help to understand the life cycle of fashion brands and characteristics different from consumer goods. Thus, fashion companies should identify at which stage their brands are positioned and develop different strategies to fit each stage.

That being the case, hotels are currently changing into places of new concepts depending on those new lifestyles of these people, and in those new places, people can entertain and experience as enjoying cultures. The marketing collaboration of the hotels with brands can be used as a more inclusive way to enhance brand images. In addition, as having infinite possibilities of the collaboration's being able to create a new-concept space with an identity of a brand included, this collaboration makes it possible for the design hotels to decorate their interior spaces differently from those of other hotels. In the light of that, the brand collaboration is basically divided into three groups which are the fashion collaboration, the technique collaboration and the designer collaboration, and the brand collaboration is also able to express the interior spaces of the design hotels as working on those six components, such as reproduction, events, alteration, messages, culture and image. • Competition among cities has become fierce with decentralization and globalization, and each city tries to establish a brand image of the city to build its competitiveness and implement its policies based on it. At this time, surveys, expert interviews, etc. are commonly used to establish city brands. These methods are difficult to establish as sampling methods an empirical component, the biggest component of a city brand. In this paper, therefore, based on the precedent research's urban brand measurement and components, the words representing each city image property were extracted and relocated to five indicators to form the evaluation index. The constructed indicators have been validated through the review of three experts. Through the index, we analyzed the brands of four cities, Ulsan, Incheon, Yeosu, and Gyeongju, and identified the factors by using Topic Modeling and Word Cloud. This methodology is expected to reduce costs and monitor timely in identifying and analyzing urban brand images in the future.
